This is for anybody who would like to share their dreams, their interpretation of the dream, and to recieve other's interpretations of your dreams. There isn't any set in stone meanings when it comes to dreams, because everybody has their own personal symbolic meanings. This is to have fun and perhaps consider other's interpretation to further understand you and your dreams better. Let's begin!

the other night i had a dream that i was running on all fours, like a cat, and i was chasing something vigorously, it always remained in sight but out of reach. I don't know what I was chasing but I know that if I caught up to it, it was in trouble. I knew that whatever I was chasing, I was chasing it because I was furious with it, wanted to take revenge out on it. and that's how the dream ended too, I woke up while I was still running in my dream, I never caught up to it. anyone care to interpret?
by the way, this was an awesome idea bree. smile

Hmm, quite an interesting dream...the chasing could mean how you are after a goal or a solution to a waking issue, you're desire to take revenge on the subject could represent some emotional imbalace in your life, according to the books.You're obviously connecting with your inner feline. I also looked up cat to determine what your connection with your cattiness and running on all fours could mean.
'The cat could indicate that someone is being deceitful or treacherous toward you.' Says Dream Moods dictionary. 'If the cat(you) is aggressive, then it suggests that you are having problems with the feminine aspect of yourself. The dream may be a metaphor for "cattiness" or someone who is "catty" and malicious.'
However, perhaps the dream could be taken quite literal and someone has angered you or has done you wrong in real life and you wish to take revenge on them.
That's what I got so far, perhaps you have some personal interpretation to share if you wish?

...well, I've been having this..nightmare for years, quite frequently too..
It's as if I'm looking down on the scene. An incredibely beautiful woman with white robes, long, flowing black hair and a flawless face has her hand outstretched towards me. She's falling down into darkness, nothing but pitch black around her...She's screaming...this horrible...heart wretching scream...and no matter how long she falls, she never dissapears. The scream never fades...and I'm unable to help her. I always wake up, sweating like crazy, my eyes wide and tears streaming down my face.
I don't understand this....I feel like...I KNOW her. I've seen her...when I told my nanny about this dream, she was surprised...She saw her when my grandpa died, and I don't know what any of this means...

Wow, I'm doing some research on your dream. I'll let you know what I find asap. At first, the woman you describe reminded me of a Siren, but she isn't so. Did your Nanny see this woman before or after your grandfather died?

Its weird, quite often, i will have dreams of something that is going to happen (this is not a lie, really, i am very honest. I hate lying and liers), wether it will be within half a minuite of waking up, or years later. Even if I forget a dream I had years before, when the event does happen I will always remember the dream, like 'de ja vu' but i am confident that I saw it happening in my dream. They arnt usally something important, like when I was about 6/7 I had a dream of using the toilet in place i had not been before. When I was 15 I changed town and about a week ago (I turned 16 in march) I realised the toilet was my new schools toilet, only then I remembered the dream. Does anyone have an answer to this? y mum is a spirtualist and says that my Dad has the same thing (but I have never spoken to him about it), that this means I have some sort of future telling ability, and that I should be able to train it to be able to see specific times and events. But she dosn't know how. If anyone knows anything at all on this then please share it with me, its been happening all my life and I would like to actually know why.

|| I'll have you know DibluSTR that I too have had dreams of the same sort. We're a bit different though because the events in my dreams would happen either the very next day or a couple days later. These dreams occured when I was younger, and really havent had them since. I know of another who sees small things of the future in their dreams too. You may have ESP. I would recommend, if you wish to strengthen this ability, to practice some basic psychic meditations. You can find plenty information on psychic meditation on the internet or in occult books which you can get from your local book store.
One of the dreams I had at six years old: In this dream I woke up and headed to the kitchen for breakfast. A bowl of rice krispies was ready for me on the table so I dug in while my mom made warm breakfast for my little sisters. One of my baby teeth falls out.
I wake up from having that dream for real and go to the kitchen. The exact same thing from that dream happened. >,< I tripped out that day lol.
I'm still doing research on your dream Priestess. Sorry that it's taking so long....||

Ok, I have been having this dream again and again, and i dont know what it means. i will be standing alone, all i see is darkness. the darkness begins to cloud around me, choking me, making it hard for me to breathe. I feel a presence in the forbidding darkness, and hear him laughing at me, a wicked chuckle and a crooked smile. he comes for me, controlling the shadows the surround me. I let out a panicked scream and he looks at me with cold eyes. he is everywhere and nowhere. I always wake up screaming...

||Let's see Elanora...I believe this represents how you want to fight this 'darkness' which surrounds you. The being within the darkness represents your fear,anger,grudge, and misunderstanding of the darkness. It is your grudge and misunderstanding formed into a being that is choking you,your fear and anger are the ones controlling the shadows. Shadows are simply shadows and nothing more. We usually mistaken shadows to be something bad when we are not seeing correctly.
Like what was said in the old arguement thread, with doesn't always equate to good and darkness doesn't always equate to evil. Most of us are usually afriad of darkness until we learn to understand it. A perfect example of a non-evil being of the darkness is the dark Goddess, Hecate. As a triple goddess she shifts from the maiden, to the mother, to the crone. She is the goddess of justice and, in crone form, tends to the scales of karma.
Two other possible symbolic meanings of the darkness in your dream could be:
"To dream that you are lost in the darkness, denotes feelings of desperation, depression, or insecurity"
or
"To dream that you are groping around in the darkness, symbolizes that you have insufficient information to make a clear decision. Do your research and do not rush into making choices."
Says dreammoods.com....a possible meaningfor the shadows and the creepy presence-"To see a shadowy figure in your dream, represents aspects of this figure which you have not acknowledged or incorporated into your own personality. Alternatively, it symbolizes the young, the helpless or the under-developed."
As for you Priestess, I've finally came up with a little summary for your dream. Like I told you on aim, the woman could be a spirit guide to help people of your family move forth to their next life or the afterlife. She could be a warning in your dream that someone in your family is close to death. As for her falling, that could represent how the relationship between you and your dieing family member could be going, and your helplessness could be how your feeling about the relationship. What are your thoughts?||

So, a few nights ago I had a dream about this disembodied hand with immense strength strangling me to near death. Once more tonight I had a similar dream. The settings were different but the end was the same. The first dream was in a school, mainly a biology/chemistry lab. This time it was in the middle of a field... Any ideas or anything?

||Well, the dream being somewhat nightmarish and recurring, you're definatly meant to confront what the dream is trying to tell you. From my research, the head represent productivity. Perhaps you've been putting off on getting something done, and the hand attacking you could mean you NEED to get done whatever needs to be done.
Hmm, how did you feel in the dream? What emotions did you experience?
Also, something else I found in my research that could be a possible reason why you drempt about a severed hand...your hand could have fell asleep while you were slumbering, do you have bad circulation?||
