This is a fanfiction composed of all my own ideas. Though the location, some of the characters, and the whole idea of Harry Potter, I owe to J.K. Rowling. She is a true genius.
Now back to my fanfiction. This is the story of The Marauders and four girls who attend Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft. They have crazy adventures and perfom many pranks together, and maybe some snogging here and there. Please read and enjoy this story. Comments are greatly wanted.

Introduction: In this Chapter, the gang is headed to Hogwarts. It's 6th year. What is in store? Read and find out! =DChapter 1-I am Dating James Potter In a lone compartment on the glorious Hogwarts Express, I sat with James Potter. I had out my copy of “Quidditch Through The Ages.” James sat across from me staring blankly out the window. I looked up from my book every few moments to check if he was ok. Suddenly, a small grin crept up on the side of his face. I began to grow scared as his face, along with his grin, turned slightly to look at me. My eyes wide, I waited to see what would happen next. It happened so fast. If I would’ve blinked, I would have missed what happened. James hopped up from his seat, wand in hand. It looked like he was going to come at me. I closed my book quickly and was prepared to use it as a shield. James had now moved to the seat right next to me. I put my book down, and his arm shot up in the air, and suddenly onto my shoulder. After all of that occurred, I could finally blink. It took me a few blinks to comprehend what just happened. I placed the book to my side and stared up at James. Though we were sitting, James still appeared taller than me, though I was quite tall myself. His hazel eyes had a small twinkle in the pupil. Something told me, he had some type of plan to this situation.
“Ummm…James….” I began slowly. I was still staring into his hazel eyes. He brought his hand up to shake out his untidy black hair. “What was that?” I finished more quickly. I waited for him to answer, as his arm was still draped around my shoulder. I removed it promptly. “You can put that back, when you tell me what the bloody hell was the reason for your last few motions.” I said to him, a bit of anger in my voice.
“Well…” He said through chuckles. He sounded like a school girl. What was it that he was hiding? I asked myself. “That was just my way of showing some affection to you, Gabby. Why do you have to suspect something is wrong.” He moved is arm back around my shoulder. I giggled softly and blushed a light pink. Suddenly the compartment door opened and entered the moment killer of the hour. Sirius Black, James’ best friend. Behind him came, Remus, Kat, Peter, Alex, and Liz. So instead of one moment killer, it was six. James moved his arm from around me and scooted far away. Obviously, I hadn’t told my friends that James and I started dating over the summer, and of course James hadn’t told his friends either. Everyone filed in and sat down. Sirius promptly settled himself between me and James.
“Why hello Gabby love, and James. What brings you two here…in this compartment…alone…” Sirius said, a mischievous grin on his face. I didn’t like the way he annunciated that sentence. My blue eyes filled with slight anger as I glared at Sirius. He now had his arm around me. I was prepared to slap him on the top of the head but Liz beat me too it.
“Leave her alone!” Liz scolded. Liz was one of my tougher friends. She was the one all last year that helped me keep Sirius and James in line. Though this year was even better, seeing as Kat, Liz, Remus, and I were all prefects, so if we had to deliver some arse kicking, we could definitely do it now. Though I would doubt I would give my own boyfriend detention. I smiled at Liz.
“Thanks for that Liz.” The other part of this was, Liz and Sirius had been dating since 4th year, but Liz broke up with him after O.W.L.S. because she was tired of him flirting with all the other girls. I felt kind of bad for him, but not so much. I glanced over and saw that Alex and Peter were in a deep conversation of God knows what, but it was obviously making Alex laugh her head off. Remus and Kat were also chatting about being prefects this year. Both of them had been taking quick glances at Sirius and James, and were obviously wondering what they would do if they tried to commit any kind of pranks this year, and frankly, I was curious on that one as well. Sirius’ arm had been removed from my shoulder, and Liz was busy scolding Sirius that if he wanted to get back together with her, than he had to learn to control his flirting habits. She smiled satisfyingly when he became silent. All of a sudden, the compartment grew quiet. I stared around at all the couples. There were Alex and Peter. They had feelings for each other, everyone knew it, but they were too chicken to admit it to each other. Remus and Kat were the same way. I took a small glance towards Liz and Sirius. They used to be a couple, but I could tell there was still some chemistry. I looked over at James, who had his head down. When he felt my eyes on him, he looked up. I gave him the I-think-we-should-tell-everyone-were-dating-look. He nodded his head, and I stood up. I felt everyones eyes on me I looked back at James, who still had Sirius at his side. I walked over by James, and I pushed Sirius out of the way and onto the floor. I sat down next to James, and I forced my hand into his. I gave him another look, and we both knew it had to be this way. We stared down all of our friends, Sirius on the floor. I let James take the floor, I am sure him being the man, he wanted to tell everyone.
“Ummm…” He began sighing. I heard a gulp escape from his throat. “Gabby and I are dating.” He finished. He turned to look at me, and he smiled. I looked down waiting for their responses. Remus, Kat, Alex, Peter, and Liz erupted in claps and cheers. Sirius was on the floor, looking as stunned as I was. Again, the compartment door swung open, and in came the Head Boy and Girl, informing Remus, Kat, Liz, and my exit. I stood up a little to quickly and exited the compartment. I was still stunned on what had just happened. Immediately after we exited the compartment, Remus, Kat and Liz attacked me, well mostly Liz.
“When were you going to tell me your were dating James!!” Liz cried angrily. Remus was patting me on the back.
“Good luck with him Gabby. At least it will be easier for you to keep him in line. I am not sure what you can do about Sirius though.” He said semi-comfortingly. Kat gave me a small smile.
“Nice wrangle Gabby. If he ever hurts you, Liz and I can kick his arse.” Kat said her smile getting bigger. After all these complements, my face was a bright pink, as we entered the prefects compartment.

I sat in our original compartment, James at my side, his arm around my shoulder once more. We were all dressed in our Hogwarts robes. Kat and Liz, were wearing their Ravenclaw robes, everyone else in Gryffindor ones. Alex and Peter were sword fighting with there wands, Remus and Kat were talking about the classes they were taking this year, and Liz was lecturing Sirius on his prankster plans this year. I turned to James and he was staring at the floor. I tried to pick up a small conversation with him as the train slowed down. We were almost at Hogwarts.
“So James, you are Quidditch Captain this year, are you going to keep me on the team?” I said giving him a sweet smile, and fluttering my eyelashes. James looked up from the floor and smiled.
“Of course. You’re a wonderful Seeker. Obviously were going to have to replace one of the Beaters, the Keeper, and two of the Chasers, seeing as they were 7th years last year. Once we get to school I will decide when we’ll hold tryouts. Because obviously were gonna have to win the Quidditch Cup again this year.” James said the last part a bit loudly so that Kat and Liz could hear. Liz and Kat were Beaters on the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team and ever since James and I came to Hogwarts, Gryffindor has won the Quidditch Cup every single year. Liz looked up from talking with Sirius, and gave James a look that said Shut-up-now-or-I-am-going-to-hex-you. James chuckled and a wide grin came onto his face.
“How do you know that we won’t win this year!” Liz and Kat said angrily at the same time. Alex and Peter stopped their sword fight and now was looking at the Quidditch rivalry.
“Well I don’t care if either of you guys win. Maybe you should just let Hufflepuff win.” Alex said laughing. Kat, Liz, James, and I shot Alex dirty looks. But Alex just laughed with Peter. Both of which didn’t play Quidditch because they were too clumsy. Remus wasn’t likely to tryout for Quidditch, because he would probably miss a lot of practices like he misses a lot of school. Sirius was already on the team as a Beater. That was another reason the team was so good, because James and Sirius were so good together. The discussion of Quidditch seemed to desist, as the Hogwarts Express rolled to a stop. Many students were already gathered in the corridors of the train. All of us in the compartment stood up. James found my hand, and squeezed it comfortingly. I smiled as we exited the train. We all climbed onto a
carriage together and made our way to the castle.

Everyone was seated in the Great Hall getting ready for dinner. The first years had just gotten finished sorting.. There were seven new Gryffindors, two girls and five boys. Dumbledore had just finished his speech and the food appeared on the table. Kat and Liz were at the Ravenclaw table, talking, eating, and laughing. James and Sirius were stuffing there faces with food, and Alex and Peter were pushing away anything that resembled meat. I wasn’t too hungry, so I just nibbled on a few items. Dinner rolled through quickly and then we came to dessert. I grabbed a bowl of pumpkin pudding and ate slowly. I looked over and noticed James and Sirius were looking at me and smiling. I began to grow a bit worried.
“What are you guys grinning about?” I asked cautiously. Sirius and James’ grins grew bigger at my cautious curiosity.
“Nothing….” They said in unison. It appeared they were looking at something underneath the table. I titled my head to try to get a good look at it but I couldn’t tell. It looked like some kind of parchment, but I couldn’t see clearly what was written on it. I finished my pudding and glanced up at the sky. Well it wasn’t really much of a sky, it was the ceiling of the Great Hall, bewitched to look like the sky. Right now, the ceiling was dark, a few stars visible, and clouds scattered everywhere. I looked back down at the table. James and Sirius still had smiles on their faces, but the parchment had vanished. I rolled my eyes.
“Seriously, what are you guys up too?” I said again, my voice straining a bit. Sirius and James exchanged looks.
“Are we up to something Prongs?” Sirius said still grinning.
“No I cant say we are Padfoot. Right Moony, Wormtail?” James said chuckling. There goes the silly little nicknames, that I will never understand. Remus and Peter looked up, smiled and went back to eating. Alex looked over at me, and I knew that she knew they were up to something too. I just ignored it, and finished eating. The plates then cleared away and Dumbledore gave his final speech before sending everyone off to bed. Remus and I had to lead our first years to the common room, as does Kat and Liz. We marched out of the Great Hall. Nervous first years behind us. I was a bit afraid that I left Sirius and James alone, but I was hoping I could trust James. I walked with Remus, and was tempted to ask him what was up.
“So Remus,” I began. “What the bloody hell was going on in there?” I gave him a look that said you better not lie to me. He looked at me curiously like nothing at all happened. “And don’t give me that look. I am not stupid, I know something going on. What was up with that parchment?” I said matter of factly. He looked at me for a moment before staring back at the floor.
“If James wants to tell you, he will. But I am not going to be the one that…..” His voice trailed off. “I have said to much. James will tell you…maybe….” Remus seemed a bit shy. His face was flushing a light pink.
“Whatever….” I said rolling my eyes again. We arrived at the Fat Lady’s picture.
“Password.” She said sharply.
“Chocolate Frogs” Remus and I replied at the same time. We walked through the arch way into the giant common room. The fireplace, already lit, shined off the maroon and gold walls. “Ok first years. Boys dormitories on the left, girls on the right.” As the first years lazily walked up the stairs to the dormitories, James and Sirius arrived in the common room laughing there heads off. Alex and Peter right behind them, laughing as well. I rolled my eyes, for the third time in the last hour.
“What is so funny…wait…do I want to know?” I said cautiously. They continued laughing. Alex and Peter hugged awkwardly, Remus gave me a shy wave, and Sirius followed both of them to the boy dormitory, Alex to the girls dormitory. Now James and I were left in the common room by ourselves. I stood rocking back and forth on my heels. I could hear Sirius’ laughter echoing off the walls, and into the common room. I went over by the fire and sat in my favorite spot. It was like I never left. James followed and sat down right next to me. He let out a long sigh and turned towards me.
"So you glad to be back at Hogwarts?" He said giving me one of his beautiful smiles, ruffling his hair at the same time.
“Of course I am.“ I said brightly. He grabbed my hand and kissed it.
“I am glad too. And you know what’s going to be better. Spending the year with you.” He said sweetly. It was a bit corny but sweet. I could sense our faces were closer than they were a moment ago. We were moving even closer every few seconds. I could feel his breath on my lips. My lips were millimeters from his, before I heard a loud chuckle and clapping. I looked up to see Sirius.
“Wonderful performance lady and gentlemen.” He said arrogantly, still clapping and chuckling. My lips pursed together in a grim, my forehead wrinkled, and my fists balled up. I felt James place his hand on my shoulder, and my anger lessened. I took in a deep breath, and I let it out heavily. I got up from the couch and over to Sirius. He stopped laughing and looked scared of what I might do to him.
“Its alright Sirius, I wont hurt you……” I said, before frowning. I reeled my leg back and kicked him hard in the shin. “Let me rephrase that. I wont hurt you, that bad.” Though it didn’t feel like I used much force, Sirius was on the floor clutching his shin. I turned to James who was laughing. I felt very satisfied. “Good night James!” I said smiling sweetly and waving. “Good night Black.” I said coldly. I exited the common room and climbed up the dormitory steps, smiling about what almost happened, me kissing James Potter.

Chapter Introduction: First day of classes at Hogwarts. And pretty much what the title implys! =D Enjoy! Chapter 2-Fruit Loops, Coffee Love, and Underwear Schemes I felt the warmness of his lips. My hands were around his neck, my fingers in his untidy black hair. My eyes opened and I was starring at the ceiling of my four poster bed. Damn it…I had been dreaming of what almost happened last night, until Sirius Black interrupted. I wonder how his shin was feeling today. I smiled to myself satisfyingly. I opened the curtain of my bed and saw Alex’s was empty. She must be in the Great Hall already. I got out of bed and dressed quickly. I walked into the bathroom, fully dressed in my robes, and looked at my hair. It was tasseled back and forth. I brushed it out quickly and put on some makeup. After I thought I was presentable enough I walked down into the common room. There I faced my worst nightmare. Sirius Black. He was smiling and waving at me.
“Good morning Gabby dear! How are you this morning, not still mad are you?” Sirius cooed. He was now by my side. How did he get there? I looked over to the couch and there sat Alex, Peter, and Remus. Alex and Peter were snacking on fruit loops and Remus was buried in a book. James seemed to be missing from the group, I wonder where he was.
“I am fine…..” I said hesitating slightly. “How is your shin?” I said smiling to myself. I brushed past Sirius and sat down on the couch next to Alex. “So Alex, how long have you been up with him?” I said sighing, wishing I knew where James was.
“Oh only a little while. It wasn’t that bad.“ Alex tried to say through giggles. I hated when stuff went on when I didn’t know what was going on. I rolled my eyes, and saw Sirius was now limping over to the seat next to me. I immediately then clung to Alex, as he sat down.
“To answer your question, yes, my shin hurts………” Sirius said, giving me a puppy dog face. I scowled, and laughed.
“Save those puppy dog looks for Liz.” I said angrily. “So where is James?” I asked a little too quickly. Alex, Peter, and Sirius started cracking up, at first I was afraid to ask why, but it was about my new boyfriend so of course I had to ask. “Ok can anyone tell me what the bloody hell is going on?” I said, a bit of anger in my voice. I immediately turned to Alex. She was one of my best girlfriends, so she should be able to tell me.
“Well…..” Alex couldn’t continue. She was laughing to hard, that she was getting about ready to fall off the couch. I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Maybe Remus would tell me?
“Remus? Can you tell me what’s going on without falling on the floor laughing?” Remus had only been laughing silently behind his book. Obviously everyone of my friends in Gryffindor knew what was going on, and it had to do with James some how.
“Gabby, I hate to inform you,” Remus began. He had now put his book down. “But James was….” Remus didn’t continue because down the stairs, as if on cue, came James. Everyone was silent for a few moments, before they started bursting into fits of laughs again. Alex, was now on the floor, and Sirius was now laughing his way over to his best friend.
“Ok Padfoot….that’s enough….” James said a bit irritated. Sirius and everyone else finally calmed down, and Remus had gone back to reading his book. Alex and Peter went back to munching on their fruit loops. I was now on the couch. James walked over and sat down on the couch next to me. He placed his hand immediately in mine. Its like he could read my mind. I glared at the others, still wanting to know what they were laughing at.
“So James….” I began cutely. “What were they all laughing at?” I finished, a bit more normally. He lowered his head and frowned.
“Its all Sirius’s fault….if he hadn’t woken up early…..he told everyone else…..” James muttered angrily under his breath.
“What, what is it?” I asked frantically curious.
“Ok well, we both know what almost happened last night.” James began. A small blush appeared on the edges of my cheeks. I saw James shoot a small glare towards Sirius, who didn’t seem to notice. “Well….” He continued. “I had a very interesting dream, of that moment, not being ruined and apparently, I had been talking in my sleep about it….and Sirius heard me….and told everyone, so that’s why they’re laughing…” He finished shyly. His forehead looked a bit hot, as he glared at Sirius again. “So anyways, not about that anymore, how did you sleep?” I blushed slightly again.
“I slept wonderfully. The bad thing is I woke up.” I said through a yawn. “How did you sleep?” I said smiling sweetly.
“I slept great. Not to excited for classes today though. I wish it was still summer.” James stretched and placed his hands being his head. He started ruffling his hair again Ugh! He does that all the time. His hair cant get any messier! I glanced over to see Peter and Alex whispering softly to each other. Remus was still buried in his book, and Sirius was just sitting quietly, a little too quietly I might add. He looked deep in thought. I wondered if he was thinking about Liz. They needed to get back together. He just had to learn to stop flirting with other girls. I glanced up at the clock. It was only 8:25. My stomach let out a low grumble, and I smiled.
“Well I think its time for breakfast! Who’s coming?” I said enthusiastically. Peter, Alex, Remus, Sirius, and James all got up, and made their ways to the portrait hole. We quickly descended the stairs and arrived at the Great Hall. A few students were already eating breakfast. I looked over towards the Ravenclaw Table and there sat Kat. Liz didn’t seem to be anywhere, so I assumed she was sleeping.. I walked over to the Ravenclaw table, and received some dirty looks from some of them. “Yeah, I am from Gryffindor and have friends in Ravenclaw, so what?” I scoffed, while ignoring them. I sat next to Kat momentarily. “Good morning Kat.” I said giving her one of my sweet smiles. “Did you sleep well? I see Liz is still enjoying her sleep?” I giggled softly. I stared quickly up at the sky. The sun was just barely coming through the light gray clouds that strewn across the ceiling of the Great Hall.
“I slept fine.” She said happily. “Yes, Liz is still asleep. I was afraid to wake her. She might try to bite my head off if I wake her…” Kat said cautiously.
“Well maybe we need to go wake her!!” I said, starting to stand up. I hesitated slightly. I glanced over at Sirius. He was sitting down next to James. Both of their heads together. They were mostly likely planning a new, start of the year prank. I wanted no part of it, well depended what it was. I could easily be persuaded. I smiled to myself, because I hatched a plan. “Kat, I will be right back.” I weaved through the tired students just making their way into the Great Hall. Most of them stared at me awkwardly, probably wondering why I looked so awake. I skidded to a halt at the Gryffindor table. Sirius and James were now eating, as were Peter, Remus and Alex. “Sirius!” I said a bit quickly. He winced slightly. I guess he thought I was going to hit him or something. “I am not going to hit you, I was wondering, you want to get back together with Liz, right?” I said even more quickly. He looked down at his plate of food. Half of it already eaten.
“That obvious…” He said quietly.
“Just answer me Black!” My voice a bit impatient. We had to get Liz up soon. They would be handing schedules out soon, and class started in 25 minutes.
“Yes, I want to get back together with Liz, why?” He said more confidently. I guess he was trying to be a man, and I say trying, not succeeding. I pulled him up by the back of his robes and consisted by dragging him out of the Great Hall. “Hey what the bloody hell Gabby, I just said I wanted to get back together with Liz, not go somewhere and snog with you, I mean I don’t want to hurt my best mate” I immediately let go of him and smacked him on the back of his head.
“One, shut up and just listen to me. Two, I would never want to snog you, or hurt James, and three, go get some coffee.” I said forcefully. My voice seemed to echo through the Entrance Hall, and lead into the Great Hall. Sirius looked at me confused for a bit, but then he shrugged his shoulders, and went to get the coffee. I knew he was probably gonna listen to me, since he probably didn’t want to get smacked again. He came back a second later with some coffee.
“So what was the point of this coffee?” He said cautiously. “And why did you ask me if I wanted to get back together with Liz?”
“Well this coffee is for Liz, and your gonna be a nice little Sirius, and take it to her. She needs to wake up, because class starts in….” I paused and looked up at the giant clock above the entrance to the Great Hall. “20 minutes.” I finished. “I am not sure how to get into Ravenclaw’s Common Room, so we will ask Kat politely if she will take you there.” I grabbed Sirius by the back of the robes, a little more gently this time, because he had Liz’s coffee in his hand. I continued to drag him over the Ravenclaw table. Kat looked at me curiously.
“Gabby dearest, why are you dragging Sirius around?” She said, laughing to herself.
“Well, he has coffee for Liz, and if you would be so kind, as to take him to your common room is.” I said smiling. I let go of Sirius, and he rubbed the back of his neck.
“Thank you for releasing me.” He said irritably. I glanced over at the Gryffindor Table, where our friends were staring at us, obviously wondering what was going on, seeing as, I had dragged Sirius out of the Great Hall, and then back into it.
“Ummm….ok….” Kat said hesitantly. She exited the Great Hall, Sirius following behind her, giving James a thumbs up. As they both exited the Great Hall, I made it my advantage to feed my still rumbling tummy. I sat down next to James, and filled my plate with eggs and bacon. Alex and Peter were having a collective discussion, I caught bits and pieces of it as I ate.
“Hey Peter, what is your favorite type of pickle?” Alex asked him. It seemed like a very strange question to me, but Peter answered it, like an idiot blinded by love.
“There are different kinds?” He said curiously.
“Yes, of course there are different kinds. There’s dill pickles, kool-aid pickles, sour pickles, German pickles, and tons more.” She said enthusiastically. Peter just smiled at her.
“Well I haven’t tried all of those, but I guess I am gonna have to.” He said, still smiling. I just giggled silently in my head. I looked over at James, who seemed a bit distracted. He looked deep in thought.
“James, is something wrong?” I said a bit concerned, while nibbling on a piece of bacon.
“Oh, no everything is fine. Nothing you need to worry about.“ He said, moving his head slightly, and kissing the top of my forehead. I blushed, as I continued to eat. Wait a minute, nothing I need to worry about. What was he talking about. Was this what Remus was talking about last night? When he had said James will tell me if he wants to. Were all of them in on some kind of plan? All of this made my thoughts race. I looked up at Remus, who kept making small, but obvious glances towards the entrance of the Great Hall. I wondered if he was waiting for Kat to walk back in. We all knew that he had a crush on her. But what guy wouldn’t. Though Kat is shy, she is also very beautiful. I kept mindlessly reaching for the food on my plate, when I looked down and realized it was gone. I shook my thoughts, and saw Remus smile out of the corner of my eye. I looked over at the entrance of the Great Hall. In walked Kat, her hair blowing back as she walked back to the Ravenclaw table. I wondered how Liz and Sirius were doing. I put more food on my plate before I heard James shout.
“Way to go mate!” He shouted. My head swiveled back to the Great Hall entrance. In walked Sirius and Liz holding hands. My plan worked, they were back together. My face lit up as I waved to Liz. She gave Sirius a quick kiss, and skipped off to join Kat at the Ravenclaw table. Sirius came over with a giant grin on his face. He came over and sat between me and James, I glared slightly, but the glare disappeared. I was glad that my plan worked, and Liz and Sirius were back together, and now all we had to do was get Alex and Peter and Kat and Remus. Sirius turned to me and gave me a hug. I stared awkwardly at him as he released from me. James gave him a look too.
“Ok Black, what was that for?” I said, still weirded out from the hug.
“Its thanks for you getting Liz and I back together.” He got up and sat on the other side of me, so that James and I were sitting next to each other again. I looked up to see that the schedules were now being handed around. I grabbed mine, and stared at it for a few moments. Good, Defense Against the Dark Arts first, Ancient Runes, Transfiguration, and then Potions, and breaks in between. Awesome. I grabbed James schedule. I had pretty much every class with him, except he wasn’t taking Ancient Runes. I smiled to myself. We would have classes together, and Quidditch. This would be a great year. I grabbed my stuff, and headed out of the Great Hall, with all my other fellow Gryffindors. The other good thing was, we had Defense Against the Dark Arts, with the Ravenclaws. I walked hand-in-hand with James, Liz with Sirius, Alex and Peter still talking about pickles, and Remus and Kat were comparing schedules, and talking about the upcoming Care of Magical Creatures class. We arrived in the D.A.D.A. classroom. James, Sirius, Liz and I took one table, while Alex, Peter, Kat, and Remus took another. The class got quiet as the teacher entered. Immediately went into a big long lecture about upcoming N.E.W.T.S, which hello weren’t until next year. I took the time to pass notes with Liz, who was on my right, next to Sirius. I grabbed a piece of paper and scribbled something quick with my quill, trying not to make much noise.
“Hey, so my plan worked! I got you and Sirius back together. How did all that go? I asked him to give you some coffee and go wake you up. You didn’t try to bite his head off at first did you?”
I passed the note to her and tried to pretend to listen to the teacher. He stopped talking about N.E.W.T.S. and went into a discussion about what we will be learning this year. Finally, I got a note back from Liz.
“Honestly, I almost did bite his head off, but then he said he had coffee, so I was like, hell yeah coffee. So I got dressed, and drank the coffee, and when I was done, we got to talking, and he agreed that he would be more mature and stop flirting with all the girls.”
I read the note and smiled, giving Liz a thumbs up, as Sirius did to James earlier this morning. The class seemed to fly by, and before I knew it, it was over. We all got up from our tables, and configured a small line as we exited the classroom. All of us now had Morning Break. We made our way towards Gryffindor Tower, since most of us were in Gryffindor. We told the Fat Lady the password, and made our way through the portrait hole. I sat down on the sofa next to the window, James followed, and sat right next to me, his arm draped over my shoulder. I nuzzled my head on his shoulder. Sirius and Liz were sitting comfortably in a love seat by the fire, and Alex, Peter, Remus, and Kat, sat on the other couch.
“So, how did everyone like they’re first class of the new school year!” I said enthusiastically. Most of my friends groaned, and others just didn’t make any sounds. “So James, you and Sirius don’t have class next, what are you guys gonna do that whole time while were all in class?” I asked casually. Immediately, it seemed like time froze. Well not time, but James and Sirius did. Wide grins were slowly appearing on there faces.
“Nothing, in….particular…….” He said, still smiling. Sirius and James did a quick high five. I stared up at the clock, morning break had went by really quick.
“Well if this nothing, is something, I really don’t care, or want to know about it. But Remus, Kat, we have to get to Ancient Runes. Bye James.” I stood up and slung my bag over my shoulder, as did Remus and Kat. I gave James a quick kiss on this cheek. And exited the portrait hole, as did Liz, Alex, and Peter, who had Divination to go to. We split in the middle of the hallway, Liz, Peter, and Alex heading upstairs to the Divination Tower, and Remus, Kat, and I heading to the Ancient Runes classroom. As we entered the classroom, Remus and Kat picked a table to themselves, and I got put at a table with a person I didn’t really want to be sitting with. Jordan Platt of Ravenclaw. As I sat down, she glared at me fiercely. She has had a crush on James for as long as I can remember. And by now I am sure she knew that James and I were dating. “Hi Jordan…...” I said unenthusiastically, trying to be the better person and act nice. She just continued glaring at me.
“Hello Gabby….” Jordan said coldly. I rolled my eyes and turned to the table in the back where Remus and Kat were. They seemed to be in a deep conversation. I just wished they would get together by now, they were such a cute couple. I turned my gaze back to the front of the classroom where the teacher answered. Just like the D.A.D.A teacher, she started out talking about next years N.E.W.T.S.
“How boring…..” I muttered. I pulled out a piece of parchment and began doodling. I wrote James’ name, and put lovely hearts around it. I knew as I was doing it that it was stupid, but I didn’t care. I sensed someone watching me. I looked over and saw Jordan over my shoulder, scoffing in anger. “Do you need something Jordan?” I asked her quietly so the teacher wouldn’t hear. My lips were pursed into a scowl, while I waited for her to answer.
“Well I don’t get what James Potter sees in you. I mean look at you.” She said even more coldly, eyeing me up and down. I glared at her my eyes red with anger. I swept my bag up and I moved to the table in the back near Remus and Kat.
“Umm…Ms. Stokes, Ms. Platt? Do we have a problem here?” The teacher said idly.
“No problem!” Jordan said sweetly, she turned back and grinned at me evilly. I balled my fists up and pounded them on the table.
“Yeah…no problem….” I said, my teeth clenched. Kat looked over at me cautiously, as did Remus. I am sure Kat would ask me what happened after class.

“Gabby what happened in there?” Kat asked cautiously. Her hand was on my shoulder comfortingly, and she was smiling and trying to cheer me up. We were now out of Ancient Runes and heading to the Great Hall. It was now lunch time. I was still angry at Jordan for her comments. My fists, still balled up, were laying idly at my sides, as I half-stomped to the Great Hall, with Kat and Remus.
“Nothing….I really don’t want to talk about…..” I said, teeth loosening very slowly. Remus was walking a bit more quickly to try and keep up with me and Kat’s fast pace. We arrived at the Great Hall, to here shouts. I listened intently and realized it was Liz’s voice.
“What the bloody hell did you two think you were doing!” Liz’s voice yelled angrily. I quickened my pace even more and came into view of the Great Hall. I saw that Liz was over by the Gryffindor Table. Peter and Alex were there, watching in horror, as Liz’s face was red with anger. She was yelling at James and Sirius. I rushed over to see what was going on. “There you are!” Liz said pointing at me. “You need to hear about this too.” I stopped short. James and Sirius were seated next to each other, heads bowed in disappointment from being publicly yelled at by Liz. I listened to what Liz had to say. “You’re gonna love to hear what these two did to occupy they’re Free Period.” She said, her voice still angry.
“I knew they were up to something, and I don’t want to hear about it.” I said rolling my eyes and sitting down. Liz walked over to me and pulled me back to a standing position.
“Oh I am sure you want to know.” She said angrily. “Well I had forgotten my Fogging the Future book in my dormitory, so I had to go and get it. I walked into my dormitory and it appeared to be empty. I heard someone move, and then this idiot…” She said pointing angrily at Sirius. “Fell out from under their invisibility cloak, which neither of us knew that James had.” I took a quick glance over at James. I had no idea he had an invisibility cloak. I wondered deeply why he had never told me. I felt Remus and Kat skid to a halt behind me. They apparently wanted to know what was going on as well.
“Ok so they used the invisibility cloak to sneak into the Girls Dormitory, so what?” I didn’t want to find a reason to be mad at James, but frankly I wasn’t.
“Oh no….” Liz said still angry. “they didn’t just sneak into the dormitory. They were looking through my underwear. Well ok Sirius was looking at my underwear. They had already snuck into your dormitory and enjoyed looking at your underwear.” My mouth dropped in surprise. I looked over at James who wouldn’t look up at me. He had his head down still, and he was frowning. Sirius was the same way. I took a deep breath in, before responding. Seeing as I was already angry for Jordan’s actions, my anger was already peeked.
“What the bloody hell did you think you two were doing!!” I repeated what Liz had said. “I knew you guys were up to something, but this is just undignified! James I didn’t think you would do something like that!!” I was red with anger now. Liz and I pretty much took turns yelling as everyone in the Great Hall was staring at us. I am surprised that McGonagall hadn’t come over at separate us yet. James looked up at me, but for only a moment, before looking back down.
“I am sorry…..” James whispered. “It was wrong and your right, undignified. I really am sorry. It will never happen again.” It was hard to not be mad. James actually agreed that what he did was wrong, though I knew Liz would still be mad, because this was expecting of Sirius.
“I just started going back out with you this morning, and you already do something stupid!” Liz continued to yell angrily. “Congratulations Sirius, you receive the Stupidity Award!” She went to hand him a fake award, but instead slapped him in the back of the head. Liz was so angry, I was surprised she hadn’t taken her wand out and hexed him yet. As if on cue, Liz took her wand out, but then Alex and Kat stood up to stop her. They pulled her arms back and Alex took the wand.
“Calm down Liz.” Alex and Kat said at the same time. I took a couple of big deep breaths. My anger started to disappear. I was listening to James apology over and over again in my head.
“Its ok, I forgive you.” I whispered quietly to James. Alex gave Liz’s wand to Kat, and Kat dragged Liz back to the Ravenclaw table. I sat down and wasn’t hungry so I didn’t eat. James was continuing to apologize, but I just keep telling him that I wasn’t mad. Sirius was still white as a ghost. Lunch seemed to end quickly. Liz seemed to simmer down slightly, Sirius apologized to her, and she said she accepted it, but she was still a bit angry. We all had class after lunch, except Sirius. Kat, Remus, Peter and Alex had Care of Magical Creatures, and Liz, James and I had Transfiguration. We all said good-bye and separated outside the Great Hall, headed for class.

Chapter 3- Dreams, Hexing, Snogging, and Class As I walked to Transfiguration, I couldn’t help but wonder if Sirius had learned his lesson from the last Free Period. Well the good thing is that, this time he was alone, James was with me for Transfiguration. We were walking hand-in-hand as we entered the classroom. Liz, James, and I got a table to ourselves. Apparently, the Ravenclaws and some of the Gryffindors were a bit afraid of Liz and I now, since we had yelled at Sirius and James in front of everyone in the Great Hall. I stared up at the new Transfiguration teacher Professor McGonagall. She was also Head of Gryffindor. She wore long emerald robes, and she wore square spectacles that hung off the bridge of her nose. Her light brown hair was in a tight bun at the top of her head. She seemed to be fairly young, maybe in her early 20’s. She fumbled around with some sheets on her desk. She started talking about how she got started. It wasn’t as boring as our first two classes. At least she wasn’t talking about N.E.W.T.S. I turned to my right to look over at Liz. She appeared to be nodding off. I tapped her lightly on the forehead and she blinked surprisingly. Her love coffee was wearing off. I looked to my left, and James seemed distracted.
“James, what’s wrong?” I whispered softly so the teacher didn’t hear. He looked at me, quickly, but once our eyes met, he looked away.
“Nothing….” He muttered. He pulled out his wand and began twirling it in his fingers. I placed my hands over his hands, and lowered his wands.
“James, there is seriously something wrong…its ok you can tell me.” I still continued to whisper. I took my hands off his and blushed. “If this is about the whole underwear scheme….I told you I forgive you. I understand your curiosity.” I said, gave him my just-listen-to-me-already look.
“Ok…you were right. I was worried that you were still mad. But I guess I cant ignore that look. I accept your forgiveness.” He grabbed my hand and kissed it softly. His lips felt warm, against my clammy hands, which I wish weren’t clammy. I heard a cough from behind me, and felt eyes pierced on me. I turned around to see Jordan’s posse giving me cold glares. I wanted to just flip them off, but I didn’t want to cause any trouble with the new teacher, and Head of my House. As the class droned on, I couldn’t help but think of the start of the Quidditch Season. I took many glances at James. His hand was linked with mind underneath the table throughout the whole class. Finally the class ended. I stood up and grabbed my stuff. Liz and James were arguing about Quidditch. Liz was betting that James and I would get distracted on the field, and that would be our downfall of the season. I didn’t want to get into, to make it 2 vs. 1. When I say 2 vs. 1, I am with Liz. Part of my thoughts was that I would get distracted, but I am going to try hard to prove that wrong. We made our way up the stairs to Gryffindor Tower, since it was now Afternoon Break. We walked through the portrait hole, and Sirius was sitting in the chair by the fire. Wait…. I had to take a double take. Was that a book in Sirius Black’s hands? I shook my head and walked all the way through the portrait hole. Alex and Peter were sitting on the couch and still discussing pickles. Or was it cucumbers now? I shrugged my shoulders. By now Liz’s mood was calmed down. Sirius looked happier because of it. I sat down on the couch, James next to me once more. I looked around. Some people were missing. I put my hand to my chin, to look like I was thinking. It seemed everyone knew that Remus and Kat were missing. As if on cue, in came Remus and Kat, seeming to be in an intense discussion on god knows what. Sirius and James got identical grins on they’re faces. James jumped off the couch from next to me, as Sirius jumped up from the love seat next to Liz. They both made a beeline for Kat and Remus. Remus, being used to them doing that, was unalarmed. Kat however, was wide-eyed, and looked a bit frightened. I smiled to myself slightly.
“So where were you two?” Sirius said, his arms around Kat. She was shrugging her shoulders as if to wiggle his arm free from around her.
“We were at the library…..” Kat said quietly, a furious red blush appearing on her face. James was over by Remus badgering him as well.
“Oh, the library, she says, get her to lie for you Remus?” James said, waggling his eyebrows.
“Yeah, is that just an excuse to say instead, that you two were snogging!!” Sirius said, also waggling his eyebrows as James did.
“Come on, James leave them alone. The say they were at the library, that’s where they were.” I said, giggling through my hand. Alex and Peter were laughing as well. Remus and Kat had now settled themselves on the couch, their blushes faded away.. “So we have 10 minutes until class, what do you guys wanna talk about?” I said unfaithfully. Whenever I did that, the quieter our group seemed to become.
“Well frankly, I want to talk about the next big prank we are going to perform!” Sirius chimed in, grinning intently at James. I rolled my eyes.
“As long as your next prank doesn’t involve me….” “And me!” Liz interrupted angrily. “Then I am totally fine with it. As long as you don’t get into too much trouble.” I finished, squeezing James hand in concern giving him my You-better-not-get-your-arse-stuck-in-detention-forever look.
“I promise you Gabby, that this next prank will not include you…or Liz.” Sirius said waggling his eyebrows at Kat and Alex. “But I cant make any promises on you ladies.” Sirius said, his grin getting bigger. I shot James another look.
“Don’t do anything to them either. Why don’t you pick on the Slytherins, they deserve it” I said coldly. “Or Jordan Platt.” I said even more coldly, remembering her comments from earlier. Kat gave me a look of concern.
“What happened in Ancient Runes with you two anyways?“ Kat said getting up from next to Remus and moving to my side. I felt everyones eyes on me.
“Ok, in Ancient Runes today, I got stuck sitting next to Jordan, because I let Remus and Kat sit next to each other.” I paused, waiting for a reaction from them. Not a moment later, the blushes reappeared on both of their faces. I giggled silently and continued. “Well, yeah, I got stuck next to her, and the class started getting really boring, so I started doodling on my paper….” I paused again, but this time, it was my turn to blush. “So anyways, she started talking to me about James and I dating, and everyone knows how obsessed she was with you James….” I said casting a look at him. “So she was making all these little comments, that I tried to ignore…but they just kept building up….and then she called me ugly and said James was better off with her, instead of me…and I just couldn’t take it. If I wasn’t a prefect I would’ve…..” I balled my fists up and slammed them on the sofa. I felt James and Kat place they hands on my shoulders to calm me down. My fists uncurled, and I took a small breath in. “But I am fine now. I really don’t care what she says to me anymore, so if you guys could play some kind of prank on her, that would be great!” I said giving Sirius a thumbs up. I looked around at all my friends. Most of their expressions looked concerned, except Sirius, who looked busy thinking of a new prank, and then Liz and Alex, who looked pretty angry.
“How could she say something like that to you!!” Liz and Alex cried angrily at the same time. They both stood up looking very angry, hands clutching their pockets, where their wands were. “I don’t care that I am prefect, and that she is in my own house!! I want to do bad things to that girl…..” Liz said pulling her wand out.
“I am not a prefect! I don’t care if I have to hex her!” Alex said angrily, standing up as well. I stood up after them.
“Guys, its fine. Please…don’t do anything to get yourselves in detention.” I said calmly. Liz only smirked.
“Well we have Potions next and if she says anything to you, that is even remotely evil, I am so not hesitating to hex her. Prefect, smrefect.” Liz said, stuffing her wand back in her pocket forcefully. Alex did the same. She settled back down next to Peter, before everyone realized that we had Potions to get too. Kat and Liz raced to Ravenclaw Tower to get there things, as we all picked our things up, heading to the dungeons. Along the way, we passed Lily and Severus walking hand in hand. I thought they were kind of cute together, but I would never mention that to James, knowing how much him and Sirius hated Severus. We walked to the entrance of the Potions classroom, and there stood Jordan Platt, and her crew. I glared coldly at them, James gripping my arm in comfort.
“Don’t let her bother you….” He whispered softly, kissing the top of my forehead. This made Jordan glare back. I smiled satisfyingly as me and James walked into the classroom. It was still a bit early. Professor Slughorn wasn’t even in the room yet. And neither was Kat and Liz. James took a seat at a random table, and I sat onto of it, my legs hanging off the sides. Jordan was still outside. Suddenly I heard shouting outside the classroom.
“HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT ABOUT MY FRIEND!!” I heard Liz scream angrily. I immediately jumped off the top of the table and rushed outside the classroom. Jordan and Liz had there wands pointed at each other. Jordan’s friends also had their wands out, as did Kat, just in case. Though we knew Liz could handle herself, I mean she was dating Sirius Black.
“What is going on?” I shouted. James, Alex, Peter, Sirius, and Remus had now appeared at my sides. Sirius had a small grimace on his face. His girlfriend was about to be in a duel.
“b***h! TAKE IT BACK!” Liz continued screaming angrily. A small group now formed around us.
“Liz, what happened?” I said, sounding concerned, though I didn’t care why she had her wand pointed at Jordan , but obviously, she said something mean to offend Liz.
“She was planning with her little ‘posse’ about a plan to steal James away from you. And when I tried to defend you, she called me a…..a….Mmmuu….” Liz stuttered over the word. I could understand why she had trouble saying it. Sirius’s grimace disappeared and he tried to step forward, but James put his arm out to stop him, shaking his head. The anger was beginning to build inside me again. Alex and I simultaneously pulled our wands out and stood next to Kat and Liz. Remus and Peter stood in shock. Sirius was now enjoying the girl fight, and I really couldn’t tell James expression. He was semi-glaring at Jordan for being in love with him. “TAKE IT BACK!” Liz repeated, moving a few more inches closer to Jordan, who had a smug look on her face, her wand still out. She motioned for her friends to put there wands down, and they listened. Liz did the same us. I took a step back, but kept my wand out. I mean, this was about me too. Liz stepped more forward, as did Jordan. They were inches from each other, at least as close as they could get without poking each others eyes out with their wands, though I am sure all of us would laugh if that happened. Jordan opened her mouth slightly
“Expell…..” Jordan cried but didn’t finish before Liz shouted,
“Rictusempra!” Jordan started laughing uncontrollably, holding her sides. Her friends were gasping behind her. Though I was still angry, this made me laugh. Jordan laughed for a bit, as did everyone else around us. She stopped, and started to regain herself.
“Expelliarmus!” I said from behind Liz. I caught Jordan’s wand in my hand, and smiled to myself. “Nice job Liz!” I said getting ready to give her a high five. She stuffed her wand in her pocket, and walked mindlessly into the Potions classroom. Though I didn’t want to, I threw Jordan her wand back and ran into the classroom after Liz. Sirius beat me too her, and was now hugging her in comfort.
“Don’t worry about what she said….” Sirius said stroking her long silky hair. I went to Liz’s side.
“Thanks for defending me Liz…” I murmured. Professor Slughorn had now entered the classroom. Jordan glared at Liz and I from across the room. “Next time, we need to let Alex and Kat do some fighting.” I said giggling, which made Liz smile. She seemed to cheer up as the class went on. Professor Slughorn discussed N.E.W.T.S. like every other teacher, and he praised Lily as being a Potions prodigy.

“Hey you know…..” Kat said as we were walking through the portrait hole, “How come we always hangout here. The Ravenclaw Common Room is just as nice.” I pondered over this thought.
“Kat you’re right. Maybe we should hangout there during Free Period.” I said enthusiastically. Kat bent her head down, as did Alex. They were in class all day, all the time. They didn’t have a Free Period. This next Free Period would be James, Remus, Peter, Liz, and I. It would be a Sirius free time! Bad thing for Liz though. Everyone seemed to be talking amongst themselves. Remus was talking quietly with Kat. Maybe they were planning something to do after dinner. James and Sirius were still discussing their next prank, and the whole chick fight before Potions. Alex and Peter, were discussing something, like pickles, or muffins, or something. Alex always had random things to say. Liz was a bit too quiet. I wondered if she was still upset about what Jordan said. Suddenly Liz was smiling and holding something in her hands. I stared at her oddly, as did everyone else. Liz got up and started spinning around the common room, dropping something that looked like confetti. After a while, Liz got dizzy and fell over onto of Sirius. He waggled his eyebrows and bent down to try and kiss her, but she threw confetti in his face, giggling. “Liz, what the heck was that?”
“Oh that, I was twirling and throwing my confetti!” She said smiling brightly. Sirius was brushing confetti off of his face, though he was smiling at Liz’s random goofiness.
“Well are you gonna clean this all up?” I said putting my hands on my hips.
“No, silly. Why do you think I did it here. I wasn’t gonna wait until I got to my own common room. Then I would’ve had to clean it up!” She said still smiling. She threw confetti on my head, and then was soon empty. Liz frowned and scrunched her eyebrows. Sirius laughed and ran up to his dormitory room. He was only gone for a few moments before he came back down with something. He threw it into Liz’s lap, and I watched as her face lit up. “Yay!!!” She shrieked. She threw her arms around Sirius, and planted a huge kiss on him. I stared at the bag that was now on the floor, since she stood up. It was more confetti. I rolled my eyes and smiled.
“You better save that bag Liz.” I said giggling.
“Oh I know!” Liz said releasing from Sirius. She took the bag of confetti and stuck it in her bag. I looked up to see Kat, Sirius, and Alex getting there stuff together. “Have fun in Muggle Studies!” Liz said, giving Sirius another small kiss.
“Yeah, have fun guys!” James sang. He placed his arm around me as they walked out. “So what do you wanna during Free Period?” He said raising his eyebrows. I punched him playfully on the arm. Liz just stared at us, rolling her eyes.
“I am just gonna head to Ravenclaw Common Room now, Peter, Remus, why don’t you come with me, and Gabby and James will catch up later.” Liz was already grabbing her stuff, and the boys things and was trying to get them off the couch and out of the common room. She kept winking at my as she made her, not so orderly exit from the common room, Peter and Remus following reluctantly behind, since Liz had their things. I rocked back and forth on the couch awkwardly.
“I don’t know…what do you wanna do?” I said cutely. He moved closer to me. I leaned my head against his shoulder and smiled at him.
“Hey you wanna know something?” He said shifting his arm to behind my neck. I knew what was coming next. My heart started beating really fast. “You are really cute.” He inched his face closer to his. He used his free hand to tilt my chin up, and he pressed his lips gently against mine. My lips moved with his. I had now shifted my body so that it was facing him. I moved my hands to behind his neck, putting my fingers in his untidy black hair. His hands were on my waist. As I kissed him, I was glad that Sirius wasn’t going to be around to ruin the moment. After a bit, we pulled away from each other, a little breathless. He had a grin on his face, and I stared at him oddly.
“What….?” I said cautiously. I was now back into a sitting position.
“Nothing……” He said still grinning. I punched him in the arm, a little harder that time.
“Seriously. Quit being a git, what are you grinning about?” I said a bit forcefully, seeing as we just got done snogging.
“Well…its just…you’re a great kisser…..” James said blushing. Which made me blush too. I looked at the clock. Free Period was half over.
“Well, maybe we should head to Ravenclaw to meet the others.” I picked up my bags, and signaled for James hand, but it was in mine before I had the time to say or do anything. Looks like I wear the pants in this relationship. I couldn’t help but giggle to myself. We made our way to Ravenclaw Common Room. We stood at the door waiting to hear the riddle. I usually could guess the answer, if not me, someone else would come and help me in.
I am a box that holds keys without locks, yet they can unlock your soul. What am I?
I pondered this for a moment. I was about to open my mouth to answer, but James stopped me.
“Wait, I wanna try and answer.” He said. I think he wanted to be the man. I rolled my eyes, and gave him the signal to guess. “Thanks. Ummm..piano?” He said cautiously. The door to the blue common room. I skipped in there, to find Remus, Peter, and Liz sitting down. The minute Liz saw me, she jumped off the couch and pulled me aside.
“Soooo….” Liz sang, giving me a mischievously smile.
“Soooo what?” I asked innocently. Though the innocence didn’t work, because I was still flushed.
“Oh Gabby, I love you but you can not lie to me! Look at your face! Your more flushed then Remus and Kat were when we accused them of snogging. So how was it?” She said, with the mischievous smile still on her face.
“It was….well…great actually…” I said still flushed. I smiled and walked back over to the boys.
“My plan worked then!” Liz said, going for her bag confetti. She had it in her hands before she put it back. I wondered if she had some sort of plan to do something important with it. I shrugged and sat down in between Remus and James. Remus was reading as usually. I inched my head over his book to read what he was reading.
“Is that something for Astronomy?” I asked. I didn’t know what the book was, but the page he was on, showed charts of the moon patterns. There would be a full moon three weeks from tomorrow night. I guess that was kind of cool to know.
“Oh no, its not for Astronomy, just for some reading….” He said , his voice trailing off. James looked over my shoulder at the book as well. He gave Remus a grave look, and I whipped my head side to side to see what was going on. Peter just kept quiet, probably wishing Alex was here. She was the only one Peter usually talked to in public, besides his friends. The common room was pretty silent. Classes were over, so Alex, Kat, and Sirius should be back soon. As if on cue, in strolled Sirius, Kat, and Alex.
“How was Muggle Studies guys?” I said happily
“It was radtastic!” Alex replied, just as happy. “Do you know how weird Muggles are. They actually used to worship this guy named Michael Jackson. He like used to be black, and now he is white. Some say that he molests little boys. But I don‘t believe them.” Alex grinned. Apparently, she liked this guy. “He is actually a good singer. I am gonna get some of his songs on my Ipod!” Alex continued this conversation with Peter. Sirius had made his way over to Liz, and was whining that the Muggle Studies teacher almost gave him detention for planning to flash the class his boxers. Kat had found her way over to Remus and was looking over his shoulder at the book. They were so cute together. Maybe Liz and I could plan to get them together too. I looked at the clock, and I small grumble emerged from my stomach. James heard and starting laughing.
“Hungry Gabby?” He said still laughing. I held my stomach, I nodded my head.

Chapter 4-Discoveries and Injuries It was dinnertime in the Great Hall. Everyone was eating and chatting. Mostly the chatting was about this first days classes. Remus, Peter, and Alex were busily discussing the Ways of the Wenis, as Alex called it. Apparently your wenis was the little flab on your elbow. Remus didn’t seem to take so much part in this conversation. I rolled my eyes at their ridiculous conversation. At the beginning of dinner, James, Sirius, and I had been shouting incoherent things at Liz and Kat about Quidditch, until Dumbledore came over and told us to be quiet, and save the discussion until after dinner. So now James, Sirius and I were discussing who we would allow into the Quidditch team this year, since four of the Gryffindor players were 7th years last year, and have now left Hogwarts.
“Ok so we have the Seeker position filled of course.” James said casting me a look, I smiled satisfyingly. “And obviously I am going to continue being Chaser, and Sirius?” He said looking over at Sirius.
“Beater!” Sirius sang, “I wouldn’t mind having me versus Liz, just don’t tell her I said that!” He finished quickly. Liz was a Beater on the Ravenclaw team, as well as Kat. Which actually surprised me, since Kat was prone to accidents, and well kindness. And being a Beater, wasn’t really a nice job. Not saying Kat wasn’t good, but once you get to know her, you cant picture her flinging a Bludger at someone with her club.
“So now that leaves us with Heather Flaten, our other Chaser, then we only have one to fill. We have the other Beater slot to fill, and then we have to find another Keeper. And the best Seeker I might add.” James continued. Alex and Peter were busy discussing Michael Jackson still. What was is with Alex and that guy? Remus had his hand precariously placed under his chin, staring blankly in the distance. I followed his gaze, and realized that he was staring at Kat. Time to work my magic for the second time today.
“So Remus?” I said, turning away from James and Sirius, who were still talking about when to hold Quidditch Tryouts, since the first game was Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw on the Eleventh of October. “I noticed you staring into the distance, and when I followed your gaze, it wasn’t the distance at all, but…my best friend Kat, perhaps?” I said, smiling evilly and raising my eyebrows. Remus caught my eyes, or maybe my eyebrows. “Look I know you like her! So just take her to the library, talk to her for a while, and then you guys will be together in no time!” I gave him one of my classic smiles. He stared at me for a moment, before letting out a long sigh.
“Maybe you’re right…..” He muttered softly.
“And what is our dearest Gabby right about Moony?” Sirius and James had now appeared at Remus’ sides. James directly across from me, and Sirius on Remus’ other side.
“Oh nothing that needs to concern the two of you.” Remus said confidently. He grabbed his books, and stood up. “See you later, Gabby. Padfoot. Prongs.” He walked over to the Ravenclaw Table. I watched him talk to Kat for a few moments before they both walked out. Hopefully he followed my advice. At the next second, Liz came running over.
“Gabby, are you working your magic again?” Liz said quickly, sitting down next to Sirius. Some of the other Gryffindors gave her looks, but she just shrugged them off. Sirius stretched his arm and draped it around Liz’s shoulder.
“Yes I am!” I said waggling my eyebrows. “I saw Remus staring at Kat, and I told him to take her to the library and tell her how he feels. Hopefully, if this works, they will come back together!” I said smiling and giggling. Liz smiled too. “So how was everyone’s day. Pretty eventful huh?” I said taking a small bite out of my chicken strips. Too bad Kat was missing out, chicken is her favorite. Grins had now appeared on James and Sirius faces. They pulled something out from underneath the table. I stared at them oddly, as did Liz and Alex. Peter seemed nostalgic. Whatever it was they were looking at was now put away and they still had grins on their faces. “Ok what the bloody hell are you two grinning about?” I asked.
“Well our wonderful friends Remus and Kat are in the library. And they seem to be very close together.” Sirius said waggling his eyebrows. I stared at him oddly, my eyebrows raised. And I wasn’t the only one confused
“How do you know that?” Liz said her eyebrows raised as well.
“Do you think it is time to tell them Padfoot?” James said, still grinning.
“I think we should Prongs, though it is quite fun to watch them look confused.” Sirius said, his grin bigger than James’
“Yeah, it may be fun, but if you don’t tell us right now…..” I started to say before I was cut off by Liz. She had pulled her wand out and had it pointed at Sirius.
“If you don’t tell us what is going on, I will teach Gabby how to hang the two of you by your ankles!” Liz said smiling. There grins disappeared, as Liz put her wand away smiling to herself. The boys pulled out what looked like the piece of parchment they were looking at earlier this morning. I stared at is oddly. It was completely blank.
“What the bloody hell are we……” James put his fingers to my lips. I stopped talking a bit wide eyed. James then pulled out his wand. I was still confused, as was Alex. Peter, seemed to know what was going on. Which meant that, he was probably in on this too.
“I solemnly swear I am up to no good !” James muttered. At that same instance, words started to appear on the blank parchment.
“Messrs Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs, purveyors of aids to magical mischief-makers, are proud to present the Marauders Map.”
I stared in utter disbelief. This map showed the entire grounds of Hogwarts, and the insides of the castle, even parts that I didn’t even know existed! My mouth hung open slightly as I continued to stare. Liz was staring at the map intently, as was Alex. James and Sirius grins reappeared. I looked at all the tiny dots on the map. I looked at the library, and sure enough in the midst of the many dots, back in the corner, were Remus and Kat. Their dots very close together. Hopefully my plan was going well. I made a motion to pick the map up to stare at it, before James and Sirius snatched it up. I finally closed my mouth.
“Wow…..” Was all I could manage to say. “So this is how you guys get away with some much stuff. And now I see where the ridiculous names comes from!” I said giggling. Sirius grinned at Liz,
“So Liz what do you think?” Liz stared at him for awhile. I could see the thoughts running through her head. Sirius placed the map down, and in the next second Liz shot her hands out, grabbed the map and ran from the Great Hall. I didn’t have time to react to this before Sirius tore after her. James, Peter, Alex, and I stared in shock, and then started cracking up.
“Does Sirius know what he is getting into by chasing after Liz?” Alex said through laughing.
“I know, seriously. Liz would hex him tell he drops before he got his hands back on that map.” I said, also laughing. Map….I repeated in my head. I was trying to mull over the idea that this is the reason behind the boys hi-jinks. The idea that with this small piece of parchment, that was now in Liz’s possession, could pin-point anyone’s exact location. No wonder Sirius and James seemed to pop-up everywhere. I wish I could’ve looked down at the map and seen where Liz and Sirius had run off too, or if Remus and Kat were still in the library. I broke from my thoughts and looked up. Peter and Alex were gone, and James was now at my side. I shook my head and blinked a few time.
“Whoa, where did they go, and how did you get over here?” I looked around and saw that most people had left the Great Hall, but still a few others were eating. Had I been thinking that intensely, and not realized what was going on around me?
“They left. I am not sure exactly where they went, but they’re left.” He said, putting his arm over my shoulder and twirling a piece of my hair around his finger. “I think we should leave too. I wanna show you something?” He grabbed my hand and pulled me up, as we walked out of the Great Hall. “Though, it might be harder to find without the Map, maybe we should find Liz and Sirius fir……” His voice trailed off as we heard laughing. It sounded like Liz and Sirius laughing. James and I started running, our hands still linked. We rounded the corner and saw Liz hoisted in the air, laughing her head off, and Sirius laughing as well. I stopped dead and stared up at Liz, the map dangling from her hands as she tried to keep a hold of it while laughing and hanging upside down.
“Sirius!” I shouted. He turned around quickly as his wand lost contact with Liz. Liz, still laughing, fell to the ground with a thud. The map floated to the ground, and Liz stopped laughing. She sat up and I heard a crack, probably from her wrist, or some part of her arm. I ran over to her, releasing my hand from James. He ran over to Sirius, picking him up and guarding him, waiting for Liz to spring at him. I picked Liz up, and strangely, she didn’t seem angry. “Liz are you alright!” I said, my voice full of panic. Her wrist lay limp on the end of her arm. The map now in her lap. Liz took a few deep breaths, as her laughing deceased.
“Ok owww……” Liz replied holding her wrist. I helped her up off the floor, as curious first years walked by staring oddly. “What are you looking it at!” Liz grumbled angrily. She looked over at Sirius who still being guarded by James. She handed him the map reluctantly and took a step back. “Sirius, I am not mad at you. I stole the map, I could see why you were thinking of hanging me upside down by my ankle. So James you can stop guarding him and guard your girlfriend over here.” I stared obviously in shock. I took a quick jump to the side, and James stood in front of me, holding his arms behind my back.
“Now Liz, it wasn’t her fault. She was just trying to save you!” James said panicking. He still had the map in his hands, eyeing it every few seconds. Liz now had her wand out, held in her good hand, and she stalked towards us. James grabbed my hand and whispered in my ear. “When I say go, we run, just follow me.” He whispered. Liz was getting closer to us, no doubt wanting to do bad things to me. “Run!” James shouted! I ran down the corridors after him. We sped around corners and ran up stairs. I wasn’t planning on looking back to see if Liz followed us. Hopefully, Sirius would take her to the Hospital Wing, and when we saw her again, she would be….less angry. I shuddered slightly, to think what she would’ve done to me. We climbed up to what I believed was the 7th floor, I lost count after a few steps, and we seemed to have run around the floor a few time, before reaching a door. James threw the door open and we both toppled inside. I fell over something, but then next thing I know I am on my back, James panting on the floor next to me.
“Where are we?” I asked a bit breathless from the running. We took a few moments to start breathing normally. I blinked a few times and stared around the room. It was dawned with candles hanging in midair, bobbing up and down. There was a fireplace in the far corner, which gave the room a warm and glowing feeling. The carpets were ruby red with gold, then walls were emerald and silver, the floor yellow, and the ceiling royal blue. The walls had portraits of what seemed like the original house owners. Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff, and Salazar Slytherin. Also right next to the fire, was a long black leather sofa. It was like bringing all the houses together in one comfortable room. I hadn’t realized James had been speaking to me as I gazed around the wonderful room. “Huh?” I said cluelessly.
“This is the Room of Requirement!” He said pulling me up to my feet, and walking me around the room.
“The Room of huh?” I said still a bit confused. We had now found our way over to the couch, and I felt the warmth of the fire underneath my robes. I pulled them off and threw them to the back of the couch, so I was now in my shirt and skirt.
“The Room of Requirement.” He repeated. He showed me it labeled on the map, and our dots inside it. I also noticed that Remus and Kat were still in the library, Peter and Alex were in the Gryffindor Common Room, and Liz and Sirius were in the Hospital Wing, most likely patching Liz up. “You see, this room is made for people who really need it. You have to pass it three times, thinking in your mind what you really want it to be, and then it turns into that room.” He smiled at me as we sat down. I now fully understood. This room was magical, and so was the map. Obviously no one else could enter this exact room, but could enter one of their own. I smiled at James.
“Wow….that is truly….wow….” I said gazing at the room once more. I laid back in the couch as did James. I laid my head on his shoulder, and felt his hand intertwine with mine. Before I knew it I had fallen asleep. The only reason I knew I had, because I had a dream about Liz finding us, and hexing me until I drop. I woke to the startling warmth of lips. I opened my eyes to realize James was kissing me. I blinked and put my hands around his neck, pulling myself up from the couch. I pulled away from him smiling. “Thanks for waking me.”
“No problem, but we have to go. Astronomy starts in an hour, and I am sure we wanna know what happened with Remus and Kat.” I continued to smile as I pulled my robes on and walked out of the Room of Requirement with James.

We were now back in the common room. Everyone else was there. Liz now dawned a cast, which we all signed. She completely forgave me for what happened, realizing it was an accident. Kat and Remus were sitting on the couch holding hands. My plan had worked and now they were dating. Apparently, Remus had no idea Kat liked him too. Big shocker. They didn’t do much reading in the library, but not too much snogging since they are just recently dating. Alex and Peter would definitely be next in my must-get-together-plan. We told Kat and Remus how we all new about the Marauders Map. The boys were slightly disappointed that they didn’t have a secret thing that they could hide from the girls. Remus, James, Sirius, Liz, and I had our stuff ready to go to Astronomy. James, Sirius, Liz and I were continuing our discussion of Quidditch from dinner.
“No there is no way you guys are gonna beat us! I am gonna only pick the best for the team this year!“ Liz was saying through gritted teeth.
“Well we have people that are already on the team that are amazing!” James said nudging Sirius and me in the ribs. I giggled softly.
“Yeah Liz, especially since we’re both Beaters, and I don’t think you intentionally wanna hurt me, do you love?” Sirius cooed. Liz then punched him on the side of the arm, with her good hand with the actually attached wrist. “Well look at the time. I guess we better head off to Astronomy.” Remus stood up and gave Kat a sweet kiss on the cheek. Which made everyone go awww and make Remus and Kat blush like mad. James, Sirius, Remus, Liz, and I exited the common room, still talking about Quidditch.
“You have to be mental if you think your Seeker can catch the snitch before Gabby!” James teased at Liz.
“Yeah!” Sirius would chime in every so often, but not too much since he didn’t want to get in a fight with Liz. We arrived at the Astronomy tower where the telescopes were already set up. Apparently it wouldn’t be a N.E.W.T. lecture the whole time. Professor Malander stood in front of us, trying to quiet us down. Sirius and James were laughing about something, and it took a bit to silence them.
“Ok class, now I know you have probably been lectured all day how N.E.W.T.S are important, blah blah blah. Now I wont do that, since you have gone through that enough. So right now, get in a group of say….6 or so people, and I want you to start looking up these stars and planets, which you should be able to see.” He said as he hands out parchments with planets and stars we were supposed to find. We automatically started getting to work. Of course Sirius and James kept getting distracted, and were fooling around. Liz and I had to deliver several head slaps to get them to work. Remus just sat there laughing. Astronomy soon ended and we all walked tiredly back to the Gryffindor Common Room. Sirius had walked with Liz back to Ravenclaws Common Room. When we arrived, Alex and Peter were asleep on the sofa. There heads resting against each other. We woke them, and they seemed a bit flustered as the hugged awkwardly and went to bed. Remus wished that Kat was still there, but he went straight off to bed as well. James and I snogged for a few minutes before Sirius came back and we broke apart. I kissed him good night once more, and headed for bed. I removed my robes and changed into my pajamas. Alex was already sprawled out on her bed. I listened to her light breathing as I drifted off to sleep.
