Inferno stood outside the mines staring into the dark entrance that was before him. He let out a sigh as he didn't expect to wind up traveling into a place like this. He didn't have the proper equipment to go down into the mines just yet. He sat on a nearby rock that lay beside an old mining cart that had obviously been broken, rusted and was no longer fit for duty inside the mine.
He fidgeted his fingers as he tried to find a way to obtain makeshift equipment. He turned his attention towards the mining cart beside him. Inside he could see a steel pickaxe that seemed to be in decent condition. He reached in and pulled it out, examining its every angle. Once convinced, he slipped it through his belt and stood up, looking around for other things of use.

The sound of metal clanging alerted Beni. As he looked over, he was slightly annoyed to find the Operative. "I told you that you would be better off not being anywhere near me. Everyone would be better off that way. I left for your safety, and you put yourself right back in harm's way? Such a fool!" He didn't feel like running anymore. If the Operative wasn't going to listen, then that was his fault entirely.

Inferno turned towards Beni, slightly surprised.
"Well now, as a matter of fact, it was a coincidence. Don't get so wound up just because we accidently crossed paths. Anyways, I was just going to look around for some rope or something. I think Tony might be somewhere in that old mine."
He had no business asking why Beni was here, but rather went on asking him if he happened to know of anything that might help him in the mines.

"So...You did not follow me. Either way, I was here first, so any tragedy that befalls you is not my responsibility." Beni didn't want to talk to the Operative, but he would not go out of his way to disrespect him, either. Rather, he simply took a seat on the ground, and started thinking. Whether it pertained to the current matters or not was of no concern, because there was plenty to think about.

Inferno paused as he listened to what Beni had to say. He shrugged and went on looking for rope or cord. Anything of use that could somehow get him into the mines to look for Tony would do. To avoid any possibe conflicts, he would maintain a distance away from Beni.

"You are quite the fool, Operative, are you not? This is not nearly enough distance between us. We need to be towns apart, counties, states, countries, continents, planets apart. A simple few meters will not do. If you refuse, then I suppose it does not matter whether or not I am right here or right next to you, helping. Consider me part of your team. Although, do not say I did not warn you." He rose up, and walked to the Operative.

Inferno paused momentarilly to look over at Beni who stood next to him. "Alright, a team we are then."
Inferno took what items he found and headed into the mines. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a flashlight. The cave itself was as anyone would expect it: wet, gloomy, and cold. As he walked deeper, he found a pit that lead to what he believed to be the mining structure.

Beni chuckled. "Is this guy serious? Is he so ignorant that he does not think a warning has a purpose? Why does he not heed the warning?" So many questions wandered about in his head, but this naive kid, as he thought, would have to learn the hard way. He followed close behind, but with some distance as to not upset anything.

Inferno looked down into the pit and could see its rocky bottom about 35-45 feet down below.
"This must be the first level. Knowing Tony, his adventurous side took the best of him."
He took the pickaxe he found and slammed the point deep into ground, with the handle facing the pit. Then he took a tope and tied one end firmly to the pick, wrapped around the handle, and anchored it in place. He took the rest of it and tossed it down into the pit.
The rope fell short about 10 feet from the ground. Regardless, he slowely lowered himself down into the pit and hopped off the end to land safely on the ground, with a slight bit of pain in his right foot.

Beni could see where the Operative landed. With another rope he had found, he tied a strong knot in it around his sword, and thrust the blade in next to the pickax. This rope was considerably shorter, however. It was No matter, because he would not trust his own weight after the Operative went. He simply jumped down, grabbing hold of the rope midair, and sliding down it until it ran out. There was a loud thud as his feet made contact. His knees were bent beyond a right angle, but he still rose immediately after, unscathed. "I am not a big fan of taking a lot of time. Let us move, now." His sword dropped into his hand, and he quickly sheathed it.

"Trust me, I don't like taking time on this mission. Yes, we must make haste."
With that, Inferno called out Tony's name several times with no response. He quickly but carefully moved across the rocky ground beneath his feet, and moved his flashlight quickly from this side to that, up, and down. He then came across yet another pit. Although about the same distance down as the first, he had no rope.
"Hmph. Figures."
He quickly reached to his belt and pulled out his grapple gun. He took a quick aim at a sturdy point in the ceiling and fired. The hook pierced the stone with absolute precision and held strong as he zipped down into the pit. Once he touched ground, he looked up to Beni.
"Are you coming down on this, or are you taking your own route down?"

Beni laughed. He jumped down, catching hold of the line at the last minute, slowing himself down significantly enough. He went down quite hard, but again he absorbed the impact with a springing motion. "If you had that, why would you not just use that the first time? Very foolish."
He knew he had almost no room to speak. There was a thick red mark spanning across both of his palms. Nothing he couldn't deal with, just like the impact of the floor, but it would just take a little more time to do it the safe way. Of course, he didn't like bothering with such. He knew he wasn't pleasant, either, and maybe it was partially intentional. Trying to drive this person off, but he knew in his head that aside from his loss of help, he would be better off. It wasn't yet too late for Beni to turn around and head back out.

Inferno looked over at Beni.
"I have my reasons, just like you have yours. Maybe I forgot, or rather, maybe I intentionally wanted to take the harder route. Enough talk now, time is important."
With that, he wiggled the cord and yanked it down from the ceiling, setting it back into the grapple gun. putting it away, he took the flashlight out from his mouth and continued to venture deeper into the mines.
It wasn't long until he stumbled upon the mining site, where, as he can see, was a gold mine. He picked up a large chunk that was still attatched to a rock, and looked at it.
"A gold mine. Hmph. It's not every day you see something like this." He set the rock back down gently and stood back up.

Beni took his sword out from its sheath, holding it straight out. He took a pause."What did you say?" He whispered as quietly and discreetly as he possibly could. Continuing to point forward with the sword, he said "I do not have a good feeling about this at all. Keep your guard up." He then sheathed his sword once again, and took a few steps backward, as to let the Operative go first in case of danger. Beni might have been a tough guy, but he was no fool.
