はじめまして！アイビーと申します。二十四歳のアメリカ人です。いつか翻訳者になりたいんです。そのために、日本語能力試験を合格しなければなりません。今、二級のために勉強しています。2010年の秋に大学院に入学許可されて望みます。
Nice to meet you! My name is Ivy. I'm a 24 year old from America. Someday, I would like to become a translator. Towards that end, I have to pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Exam. Right now, I am studying for Level 2. I hope to be accepted into graduate school for Fall of 2010.

日本語はまあまあできます。
たまに間違ったりします。
My japanese is good, but not perfect. I make mistakes some times.
問題なのは英語のほうです。
すごく下手です。
The problem is english. I'm really bad with that.
趣味は絵を描く事と本を買う事映画を見る事。
今はハリーポッターのドラコにはまっています。
My hobbies are drawing, shopping (mainly books) and go to the movie.
Actually I'm get stuck [caught] in/indulge [become immersed] in (I use translation dictionary, hope will be right) harry Potter's Draco.

ええと。。。ちょっとインタネットで名前を教えたくないからshamuかshamufluteと言います。日本語を勉強してるが全然上手じゃないんです。だから、がんばってます。私は音楽やテレビゲームが大好きです。

Nice to meet you! My name is Koro. I am a 10th grader (starting at the end of Summer at least). I study Japanese at school.
I am going to be in Level 3 starting the next school year. ^^
ひらがなとカタカナを分かります。でも、たくさん漢字を分かりません。
I understand hiragana and katakana, but I don't know a lot of kanji yet... sweatdrop

You did a good job! But if you don't mind, I'd like to go over a few things here. First, even though "Konnichiwa" is pronounced like わ, it is written like this in Hiragana: こんにちは Same thing with the sentence particle that sounds like わ、it's actually a は. For now, you probably should always use particles in your speech. I'll italicize corrections: おれ の なま え は EJです。 おれ は しょがくしゃです。 にほんご を おしえ てください。 You can drop particles in casual speech, but since you're a beginner, I think it would be good practice to always include them. 3nodding Also, you don't have to put spaces in, I was just trying to make that easy to read. Oh yeah! を is sort of the same way as は. Except while は only sounds like わ in its use as a particle, を is always pronounced お. I hope that was helpful! heart

今、兄弟は八人がいますが、９月に、ははのふたごが生まれます。 私は一番上です。
絵を書いたり、日本語と韓国語を勉強したり、料理を作ったり、自転車に乗ったりするのが大好きです。楽しいです。

I'm a junior in college, and my majors are religious studies and Japanese. I'm also studying computer science. During 2010 spring semester, I can go to Japan to study, but I only have a little bit of money. It's unfortunate, but I'm trying to fundraise.
Right now, I have 8 siblings, but in September, my mom's twins will be born. I am the oldest child.
I like drawing, learning Japanese and Korean, cooking, and riding my bike. It's fun.
