It was my fave anime....untill L died. DX
And im a total freak over Teru Mikame....
I actually finished the series when i was 11. XP

Yeah...
When i first saw Near, i was watching a random episode (before i started watching the series on my own) and i was like, "o; hes cute!"
My friend was like, "o.O wha?? wait, who??"
And then we both flipped out. >_<
Thats when i started watching the whole series, not random episodes =P
But when i saw L, and how he eats sweets without gaining wieght, i was like, "O:< NOT FAIR!! TOTALLY NOT FAIR!" xD
But all in all i did really like the series~

I liked light at first, but when he was starting to become insane, I switched to L.

Alma_Frostangel i like it but it did lose some entertainment when L died. I have to agree with you there. L was a great character. This series was pretty good overall, but I think Lights evilness got to me every now and then. He was the REAL deal when it came to being ambitious and slightly insane.
