RIDER INFORMATION Name: C'zha Age: 31 Sex: male Orientation: hetero Rank: Rider Physical Description: He has messy red-brown hair that comes down to his chin. Often unruly, C'zha forces it into a sort of ponytail. One lock or two usually evades his grasp and hangs over his eyes, which he repeatedly brushes to the side. His eyes are a warm gray, reminding one of a stormy day, but nicer. Usually half closed; he gives himself a sort of sleepy appearance. His left eyebrow is severed in half by a white and slightly puckered scar making him look like rugged kind of guy. His mouth is a lopsided smile, or a grin, since he is easily amused most of the time.
Medium size in height, he's not the smallest or the tallest. He's of an average build, not thin and lanky, nor chubby and stout. C'zha is usually wearing wherhide boots, shined and black, canvas style pants that end abruptly at the beginning of his boots, and either a sleeveless shirt or no shirt at all. Igen's warmth suits C'zha well; he loves to display his body, toned and well muscled from being a dragonrider for over thirteen turns.
Personality: C'zha is one of the most easy-going men one will ever meet. He loves to laugh, and make others laugh. He's a nice guy, and quite the people-person. He loves to chat, whether its small talk, or a heart-to-heart conversation about.. well, whatever the topic may be! He doesn't strive for approval and acceptance, and prefers not to wonder about what others think of him. He goes about life in a day-to-day manner, dealing with problems and issues as they come up.
While he is not the Weyrlingmaster, the bronzerider finds it incredibly rewarding to work the the weyrlings- or anyone who needs to be taught. He is highly skilled in interacting with people, and finds a challenge in trying to impart knowledge to another person. C'zha holds a soft spot for weyrlings; he relishes in the opportunity to share in that tender stage of a young pair's life, where they get to know one another and experience the world around them for the first time together. He's a great teacher; all of his students can relate to him, and find his lessons both fun and informative.
Perhaps C'zha's only downfall is his inability to take anything seriously. The bronzerider finds life exciting and enjoyable, so much so that he is hardly ever caught somber, contemplative, or distressed. He finds a reason to laugh in every situation, even at the most inappropriate of times. Call it a lack of maturity, or call it enjoyment of life; however you put it, it's not a good thing. Especially not when one is in a position of authority.
History: After a very long and drawn-out labor, Charla finally gave birth to a squalling baby boy, Machaizur. The boy's father was a brownrider, who came onto Charla, a journeywoman healer at Ista Weyr, after a mating flight in which his brown lost. Nine months later, Machaizur was born and dumped upon one of the lower caverns women, for her to raise as her own. His mother was more interested in continuing her training and hopefully being promoted to a Masterhealer, while his father was much too busy with his duties as a rider to care for him. Machaizur grew up as privileged as any other weyrbrat, never wanting for anything. He had friends a plenty, and as much love as he could want from his foster mother. As soon as he was old enough, Machaizur was ushered onto the sands, as is any other weyrbrat upon reaching thirteen turns. However, clutch after clutch, Machaizur was left alone and without a dragon. Disheartened, the boy began to dread the trips onto the sands every turn or so.
Machaizur started to worry about his future around the age or 16, when he was left standing for what must have been the fourth time. He hadn't been trained in any craft, nor had he displayed any sort of extraordinary talents. He certainly did not want to be sent away from the Weyr, but the young man resigned himself to the fact that he'd probably be sent off to some Hold to work at general labor. So comfortable with that fate he became, Machaizur approached the Weyrleaders of Ista and flat-out told them that if he did not Impress at this upcoming Hatching, he would leave of his own accord and work at Ista Hold. The Weyrleaders, recognizing defeat in the young man, agreed with him and offered him support with the rest of his life.
Machaizur kept true to his word to the Weyrleaders and made one more appearance for him. It was that day that Machaizur's world was turned upside-down. A massive bronze literally exploded from within his shell and pushed, shoved, bullied, and stomped his way across the sands to the hardly-paying-attention Machaizur. << YOU! Pay attention to ME! C'zha! I'm Enbrieth, I'm hungry, and you'd better feed me as soon as possible! >> From that day forward, C'zha had something more important to do that wallow in self pity. Enbrieth was as demanding and engaging as any weyrling freshly shelled, if not more so.
They graduated Weyrling Training in the middle of their class, not the best, nor the ones who struggled. Enbrieth was convinced that he had been slighted; << I'm sure of it! They took points off us because old Gharsmanith is jealous. It was not MY fault that I crash-landed; who can predict air currents perfectly? >> The pair took it easy. It was an interval! What was there for them to do other than wing drills and paperwork? But lately they've been taking things easy, running deliveries and transporting various VIPs- and despite the slow, tedious duties of little importance. C'zha is the happiest he's been his entire life~ save for the day Enbrieth found him!
Pets: none Other/Talents: C'zha is a very talented teacher, combining the informative part of lessons with fun and engaging activities. Picture: (if you have one)
DRAGON INFORMATION Name: Enbrieth, pronounced En-bree-eth, comes from the word 'inebriated'. To be inebriated is to be drunk, or intoxicated. Color: bronze Physical Description: Drunk with Liquid Confidence Bronze~ Within a sea of rutilant champagne float glimmering bubbles of bourbon, evocative of merrily drunken friends laughing and dancing together inside of some loud and rowdy tavern. As though he were impatient to wait for a glass, one of the drunken friends seems to have dipped his muzzle straight into a barrel of brandy. The warm amber has stained the bronze's muzzle, as well as his front toes, which he used to hold the barrel steady while he drank. A different drunken tavern-goer looks to be a clumsy lush; a flask of whiskey has been tipped over, its darker-than-brandy color drizzled along his spine, drip-drip-dripping down his flanks. Backsplash from the mess has leapt up to stain the bronze's wingbacks, a stunning mix of amber and metallic flecks of fool's gold. As the night of drunken revelry winds to a close, the bronze finds himself curled happily around a cask of... something bubbly and warm, his tail lazily dipped into a vat spiced cider.

Personality: Enbrieth is as sharp as a belt knife, but only half as dangerous. A dragon rough around the edges with a kind side few will ever see-- you'll find yourself the centre of his protective tendencies. To put it quite a simply, despite his size, strength and his sheer force-of-nature attitude, this bronze would rather fly Between alone than risk harm coming to you. Do not, however, mistake his caring towards you as a sign against superfiliousness. He's twice as vain as he is massive, a show off who enjoys the attentions of his lowers. By 'lowers' I mean everyone -- after all, as the largest dragon in his clutch, who could out-do him? Deemed the most athletic dragonet by his dam, sport, games and exercise are his true arena. Strength and dexterity near unending, you'll find yourself in a workout just training.
C'zha, you may find yourself dealing with his egotism, arrogance, fights for dominance bursting between him and fellow dragons, << Llehapheth, get out of my way! I’m eating first! >> ... and between you and your new bronze. << No, C’zha! I’ll eat as many herd beasts as I want! >> Keep in mind; at least with you he's your best interest at heart. However, as arrogant as he is, you'll never find your bronze throwing a tantrum -- least of all, question orders from certain gold-coloured dragons. A stickler for rank, and a sucker for any queen, he'll rarely question an order from that avenue. << Of course Adlevith, you’re always right! >> You --however-- may use that fact to whatever advantage you may find.
Again, mind, your bronze is the largest of the clutch. Size will always be an issue, larger weyrs and such needed even in the earliest turns of his life. << This weyr is much too small, C'zha! My wings scrape against the walls whenever I move. >> Take care learning how to fly. At first, Enbrieth will have some difficulty learning how maneuver in the skies with a bulk as great as his. But with practice comes perfection, and Enbrieth is constantly striving to be the best. It will take several turns before Enbrieth will feel at home in the skies; unlike his clutchmates, who are all of average size and will become more adept fliers than he will ever be.
Having been shelled and hatched during an Interval, Enbrieth has yet to experience Threadfall. But he’s a dragon, and it is within his nature as a dragon of Pern to hate the idea of Thread. As the Pass begins, the first few falls Enbrieth will be excited and eager to prove himself a worthy warrior. Being so large, he may find himself making careless mistakes. << Crackdust! I knew I should have gone between sooner! >> He’ll come home often with minor injuries, mostly burns across his flanks and back from diving underneath Thread he only just flamed. But he’ll learn quickly and within the first few Turns he’ll become as adept a fighter as any other dragon in the Weyr.
Females are Enbrieth’s weakness. Unlike many bronzes, the small and delicate greens capture his fancy as often as golds do. << C’zha, look at how Feybranth’s hide positively glistens in the sun! >> He’s an outrageous flirt, and loves to spread himself out on the ledges while sunning for all the ladies to admire his wide wings and strong limbs. Enbrieth flatters the females around him with sweet croons and compliments galore. When it comes to mating flights, Enbrieth will strive to win every female he chases. His first few turns as a mature male will see more losses than wins, but once the bronze comes into his own, he’ll be close to unbeatable. His sheer size and strength coupled with his brash confidence will make him a no-brainer for golds, which search for the strongest male to strengthen the genetic pool. But in green flights, even with age and wisdom, he’ll often lose to a quicker, smaller dragon that will out-maneuver him for the win.
If Enbrieth is ever the father of a clutch, he’ll be positively unbearable. << C’zha! Come looks at my eggs! Look at what I did! >> He’ll be pleased with himself beyond belief, and will absolutely spoil the gold who he caught. << Cheoth, my sweet, do you need anything? A fat, juicy herdbeast? Some company? >> He’ll linger around the sands for the entire time the clutch is hardening, though his attention will be focused mainly on the well-being of the clutch mother, rather than the eggs. At the Hatching itself, Enbrieth will be nearly as loud as the gold watching over her eggs, and almost as protective. Once he watches the little, weak, and ungainly dragonets wobbling around the Sands, he’ll want to intervene and help. << Oh, my son, stand up! The sands are hot, they’ll singe your nose if you keep falling. >>
Forgive his high-handed arrogance, and nevermind his bulk -- this bronze is yours, and considering his treatment of others, C'zha, you're just the person to smooth out his personality wrinkles.
Introducing, Enbrieth!
Voice: Incredibly expressive when it comes to conveying his emotions, Enbrieth's favored mode of conversation is a barrage of feelings, sounds, and images. When he's happy, his voice sounds like the sound of whiskey being poured over cold ice cubes, relieving and refreshing; it feels warm and friendly, inviting and comforting. When he's angry, a harsh clang of metal on metal rings through your head, often inducing headaches; its rather uncomfortable to endure. Everyday conversation includes the above images and feelings, on a slightly more subdued level.

^^ Looks fun to me! The only thing I would wonder about is the speed of his promotion; I can't recall if four years after graduating would be a realistic timeframe to be promoted to wingsecond, especially during an Interval when they won't be losing many riders, so others will be waiting on promotion too. If he was average, I certainly don't think that would have been possible.
The other problem is that we already have a weyrlingmaster, Sou's F'sey. If you'd be happy to have him as a different rank though, I'd say he'd be a good entry for whenever the next custom contest comes around ^^

We currently have a Weyrlingmaster, who is played by Soutou. He's a PC so he doesn't show up on the NPC list, but he has been running the weyrling lessons, so until other weyrs open, this position will not be available.
((like Tawny said. XD *beaten to the punch*))
You may also want to provide color swatches for your bronze. The description is very pretty to -read-, but from an artistic standpoint could potentially be frustrating to apply.

That's what I meant to do! I wrote him up a while ago, so I meant to put in a disclaimer in my first post about disregarding the WLM bit. xD -hugs- But, yeah- I'd be perfectly content with him as just a rider. I'll probably edit out the Wingsecond bit, too.
Ooh, yes, color swatches. Good idea, Ryu! 8DD

There! Added some visual reference points for Enbrieth, and changed C'zha's history a bit. =]

Frankly, I think the dragon's physical description is overworked. I don't actually know what it says at all. There's a whole lot of stuff in there that doesn't say all that much....and I prefer things to be understandable than to be, honestly?, purple.
But that's a single person's artistic preference.
And dragon's personality repeats itself or rephrases things a lot. Again, personally for me, this is an irritation more than an enjoyment to read, so I would suggest you condense it.
If this is copied directly from something somebody else wrote (as I'm guessing it is by the fact that it's a hatchling personality description), I would suggest that you either give them credit, or ask them for permission to have it posted here. Or just edit it so it's your own wording.
PS: Might wanna edit C'zha's personality as well as his history, since it mentions him being Weyrlingmaster no less than twice.

I guess I can see where one person might call the description purple~ but that's how I was taught to write dragon descriptions. -shrugs- I played on some pretty in-depth games, and I like how much information I have there. It gives ME a lot to work with.
I'll go through C'zha's personality and tweak it- thanks for pointing that out. I had no idea that I'd mentioned his rank in there.
No, I wrote this. No one else. I don't use other's work. Its a character of mine I've used before, and tweaked a little bit for this place- but he's totally mine. I wrote it, all.

I have to agree somewhat about the description; a lot of detail is fun, but the way it's written is a little hard to interpret for me at least. If you like it as is I wouldn't worry about changing it unless a lot of other people find it hard too, but I did find myself spending a little while translating it into something I could picture. My personal preference would be for describing him as something like 'the colour of champagne, with a muzzle and front toes that look as though they have been dipped in brandy', etc etc.
