This is where all the new academy students come to learn the three basic jutsu to be promoted to Genin, or Genin can come back and be taught basic to genin level elemental jutsu.

Yamato walked into the academy and passed by a guy in the doorway to sit at a desk. He sighed and asked, "This is where we become ninjas, rightio?"

Nitoru walked into the Academy and looked around. He saw three people at different spots throughout the room, and grinned.
"Man, I wonder what squad I'll be in! Hope they can keep up with me!" He said excitedly.
Jeez, keep it down would ya? I'm trying to sleep in here!
Oh, hush you, I have a right to be excited today! I may get to find out what my teammates and sensei are like!
The voice within Nitoru's head sighed.Just keep in mind they may not accept being teamed with you because of me.
If they can't, then... I'll just work alone to make Sunagakure strong!
The second voice gave up.
