If you know the series Karin (aka Chibi Vampire) then you know what I'm talking about. Better yet- if you've read the manga, versus the english anime, you'll understand it better.
The storyline is cute (I have personally fallen in love with it) and I can attest to its satisfaction myself. A vampire, who can't really say she's a vampire (compared to the rest of her family) falls in love with a human, and comedic complications ensue. Mix in the rest of the family and a low vampire population in Japan, and you have some good serious undertones to the lighthearted story.
However- there is a catch. The main character, Karin, is easily embarrassed. In the English anime, she is apt to say "that's so embarrassing". In the manga, she blushes a lot (not unlike our darling Hinata) and suffers from chronic anemia (which makes her faint), but does not have such a catch-phrase. I feel that in the anime, Karin's character is warped into your typical highschool girl constantly referring to things as embarrassing or otherwise distasteful.
As the English translation butchered poor, innocent Naruto (using "believe it" as a filler for EVERY OTHER FRIKKIN' WORD) Karin has been turned into something she is not. I want to know if others (hopefully who have seen this series in at least one of its forms) feel the same.
