(I posted this about a week ago, but no one replied to it, so I'm editing it and re-titling it, see if that works....)
Alright!!! I just got home from Otakon - the anime convention in Baltimore, MD, USA. There was an awesome Inu panel there and they gave us some incredible news!
Starting in October, Japan will be relaunching the anime from where it left off!!!!!

Oh, and starting w/vol 38, the English manga will be no longer left-right and one every three months, but Viz will be replacing that with the traditional right-left reading and one vol every month!!! So, instead of the US end of the manga coming 2014, it will come 2011. A little closer....
This won't be official - the anime announcement, I mean - at least it won't be until this coming Mon.
Also, Rumiko Takahashi's new work - Rin-ne - is being simultaneously released online by Viz here in North America on the same day it is released in Japan.
You can find it here:
The Rumic World by Rumiko Takahashi
There's no news on what the turnover on the anime will be however...hopefully Viz will take a clue from Funimation and post them online within days like Funimation's done with FMA's new relaunch of Brotherhood.
Zomigosh...the panel completely erupted when all this was announced! My bf was sitting next to me and although he likes Inu, he's not as fluent in it as I am...so he was a bit lost...but it was totally cool....
Keep in mind, this panel was at 10:45pm - on the Saturday night of a Fri-Sun con. Anyone who was in there gave up the dance/rave to be there!
The people running it were the same people that had run the FMA panel earlier that day (I went to that one too) and they were impressed. Those people were also really cool - not only did they run the FMA and the Inu panels, but two of them were cosplaying as Luffy and Nami from the One Piece Skypeia arc...too cool. I have a pic or two (not much really) of them if anyone wants to see.
