I began learning about how to use the katana about 6 months ago and i picked up the Bo just a few weeks ago.
I love the feel of them both, but i prefer the katana

Mright Mright. I actually had to finish my training with the katana before i could move ont to the dual wikazashi! ^ ^

thats true... i basically meant that i have finished my training to know all of the basic techniques and a lot of the more advanced techniques.

Ah, I see.
By the way, I can't help but to correct people everytime this mistake is made sweatdrop ... the word "Bō" actually means staff, therefore, saying "Bō staff" is the same as saying "Staff staff".
Also, it's pronounced with a long "o" (bo-uh)... not "bow"
So yeah, it's just "Bō"

Wow... get well soon.
I would definately kick the student off the school, unless it's abvious that it was an accident.
Did the kid even apologize? or has he gone to visit you at the hospital?
