Instead of making a new thread i'll just add to this one. lol.
This is my unfinished noncommission s**t. i'll post updates once in a while

basically i wanted to draw someone in profile, magic-y looking s**t, and wings. yeah the title sucks but who cares?

So like someone asked me for a mini tutorial, yeah?
But I suck @ those so I'm doing this instead.
Step1:
Got yer basic pencil sketch here. It's prettyyyy messy, and you can sorta see where I just kinda doodled stuff off to the side to figure it out. & I have notes to myself about lighting direction + wind direction [which you can barely see thx to my silly scanner.]

How do you normally start your drawings? Shapes or a line skeleton? What part of the body do you start detailing first?

I have a bad habit of doing the face first before everything else.
but uh, after the face is done, I do a cross between shapes & a line skeleton for the rest of the body~
