Tenotsu was walking in the woods just taking a stroll away from humanity. The woods were very dark and anything could have easily killed him, but he didn't mind. Then thinking to himself aloud he said "Hmm, i wounder why people come out here. It is so beutiful."

A dark grey wolf ran from the shadows and passed in front of Tenotsu. She turned around sharply and ran by him once again. She stopped and sat down in front of him and looked up at him with her black eyes. She waited only a moment before she stood up and walked ahead, then stopped and looked back at Tenotsu to follow.

"well hello there, and what is your name" Tenotsu said while picking up on the follow signal and starting to follow. Then his face filled up with Happiness and wonder. "where exactly are you taking me??" tenotsu said in his natural lowish voice.

The wolf continued walking, making sure that Tenatsu was always just behind. She did not stop walking until she reached a high, steep cliff. She looked back at him and jumped, landing on a long thin outcropping. She wondered if he would be brave enough to follow.

Tenotsu got to the cliff and stopped for a second. "What are you doing?" He stood there and looked at the wolf and thought aloud again "what is the wolf doing, is he trying to kill me or is he a friend?" after the thinking he finaly got ready to jump. "I got nothing to loose" and tenotsu jumped.

As Tenotsu jumped to follow the grey wolf a man dressed in all black approached the edge. "Is that the shape shifter everyone in town has been talking about? Probably leading another victim into her trap." He considered confronting her but decided to stay concealed. He knew that if she was the one killing all the villagers he must follow her, but he wasn't absolutely sure. Shape shifters were rare to find in this part of the world but not so rare as to single one out as a killer. Still he found it strange that one would happen to be lurking in the woods during such a time of unrest. They are hard to detect and could be anywhere. When one did come to the village demonstrating it's "skill" they were attacked and chased out of the village. The sight of one struck fear into the hearts of the villagers. So why was this one here? Surely she's heard the news of the attacks, and why was that man following her? Does he openly trust animals that beckon to him?! Has HE not heard of the attacks? He watched them carefully as they started to walk on. He decided to watch silently until they reached their destination.

The wolf grabbed Tenotsu's shirt in her teeth as he lost his balance and pulled him onto the ledge. She led him along several thin precipices until reaching the enterance of a cave. She looked up and stared into the eyes of the man that watched her from the top of the cliff. 'I wonder if he thinks I am the one that attacked those villages. Probably. Most people do. I wonder how he discovered what I am...' She laughed to herself. To Tenotsu it sounded like a sneeze. She turned and walked slowly into the dark cave. 'I wonder if that man will follow us into here?'

The man jumped down as they entered the cave. He knew there was no turning back now. He noticed the wolf staring at him from below. If this was the shape shifter attacking the villagers he had to save that man she took into the cave, and slaughter her. He'd be a hero in the village if the shape shifter was slain. Peace would once again come to the village and everyone could go about their daily lives again devoid of fear. He carefully walked across the narrow ledge, almost falling several times. When he finally approached the cave her and the man disappeared into he drew his scythe. He fingered the long sharp blade cutting his finger. He smiled as he watched the blood drip down his hand. He licked the blood off and grasped his scythe tight. He was ready for anything. He walked into the cave and was suddenly engulfed in darkness. His scenes were sharp and he listened for the faintest sound.

The wolf stopped for a moment when she smelled the blood. It was familiar... 'Must be my 'stalker.' He tried to follow after all. I'm going to leave the other man.. Tenotsu, I believe he calls himself. I will go back for him later. Right now I need to get rid of this man.' She headed deeper into the night black cave, scratching the floor with her claws and sliding on small piles of pebbles as she ran. She took every twist and turn with confidence, always being sure the man could track her. If he fell behind she waited or went back and took another way. 'This is accually fun. I wonder when he will get tired.'

The man grew alert when we heard the scratching on the cave floor. Damn, she knows I'm following her. The man started running deeper into the cave. He could see nothing. He stopped and opened his sketch book. He muttered a few words under his breath and a small flame appeared in front of him. He could now see deeper into the cave. He continued his pursuit until he found the man who had followed the wolf. "Fool! Head back to the village and seek shelter. Could you not see that shape shifter was going to kill you?! MOVE!" He didn't give the man time to respond, he was gone in an instant. The flame revealed the scratches on the cave floor and the misplaced piles of rock. It's almost like she wanted me to follow her. She marked her path clearly. Deeper and deeper he went following the traces of the shape shifter.

Now that he had a source of light the wolf stayed even farther ahead. She let him catch a short glimpse every now and then, but always kept him a safe distance behind. 'Come on, sir. Just a little farther. Then you can rest.' She ran around a final sharp turn in the path and ended in a large round room-like area. She could hear the man and knew she had some time before he showed up.
In the middle of the room was a large tree that seemed to glow with an inner light, filling the room with a gentle brightness. The wolf bowed her head in respect then stepped into the large shallow pond that surrounded it. She swam out to the tree and howled long and loud. The wolf collapsed into the water and stood up almost instantly as an elf-like being who seemed to glow with the same inner light as the tree. She looked down at her dark grey dress with satisfaction.
She waited for the man to arrive, standing knee deep in the water by the tree.

The man appeared in the entrance way of the room. He scanned the room carefully taking in every detail. He looked into the eyes of the elf, into the eyes of a murderer. He rose his scythe and swung it gently in front of him. The flame he had summoned went out with a puff of smoke. "Your tricks will not work on me shape shifter. Did you think all the villagers would stand idly by as you slaughtered them one by one?! Who are you to play god?! You will pay for your crimes with your life!" He opened his sketchbook and started muttered something under his breath. Again a flame was produced but this one in a much larger degree. He swung his scythe and the wall of flame was sent barreling toward the elf.

The elf smiled. This was going to be more challenging than she had anticipated. She had underestimated this man. Maybe he had done the same for her. Seconds before the wall of fire made impact the elf dropped into the water. When she rose again she was in the form of a water dragon, half at tall as the tree. She smiled at the man and sent a spout of water towards his wall of flame before changing forms once again. A peacock sat in a low branch of the tree, watching the fire smother in the water. She quickly searched the tree for any sign of damage. 'Duh. What am I worried about. There is no way he can harm it. I really should figure out his name. I'll ask him when he decides to cease fire.

He watched as the shape shifter gracefully dodged his attack. He realized then that she was cunning and wasn't going to go down easily. "I would expect no less from someone who has slaughtered 30 men. Why hath you done such a heinous thing?"

'Of course. The pretty boy does think I killed them all.' The peacock dove from the tree and the elf lady landed feet first into the water. She flipped her long copper-colored hair out of her face and tied it back into a loose pony-tail with a piece of fabric ripped from the bottom hem of her dress. Her stared at him with bright green eyes that were filled with confusion. "I will only speak with you if you put down you scythe. And the book. She indicated a bench that had formed from the natural stone of the cave. "They will be safe, I give my word. And if you would, take off your shoes. This is... sacred."
