Take my advice and don't read the book before you do. It's a big let down if you read it before you see it.
I went opening night, and me and my friends spent an hour afterwards at Denny's b***hing about what they did wrong.

fortunately i have not read any of the books since the first one so i will not see the movie as lacking.

I've long since learned that it's really very hard to go to a Harry Potter movie if you've read the books within the past year.
But it makes for good AMVs, so why not?

I sometimes find the books to be far better than the movies although... I kinda don't care for Harry being a wimp throughout the series.
