Catarina sat in the alcove by her window admiring the moonlight dancing on the rippling water below. She was supposed to be getting ready for the ball that was being held tonight but she had yet to move from that spot for an hour now. She knew that her "fiance" was supposed to be attending the dance and was in no way interested in meeting him for the first time. However it was a masquerade so she thought perhaps she could arrive as someone else for the night and slip through the matrimonial trap her parents had set. Confident her plan would work, Catarina finally got up to dress.

Felix had come to the ball early, ti wasn't every day that he got to walk around the grounds of this castle, and it was beautiful.
the sky was inky black so everything was bathed in the delightful glow of the moon, he walked through the grounds, keeping well away from the windows on the ground floor and sat under a weeping willow. the fireflies gathered around him for a moment before he whispered quite low to them and they flew back to the tree's branches. he sighed a content sigh and pulled out a small book to sketch the castle as he saw it. just as he looked up he saw a young girl on a balcony above where he sat

It was still somewhat early but Catarina was tired of pacing around her rooms. She put on a mask with intricate silver and black designs and snuck through the hallways and staircases, her silk skirts rustling around her, until she reached one of the gardens. It wasn't unusual for guests to arrive early and take a stroll around the estate and she could already see groups wandering the pathways, so there was no need to hide she would look like just another guest to anyone who spotted her.

))o..k .. i'm confused, thers supposed to be 5 replys .. yet i only see 4 you, you, me, then you again eek one has been stolen rofl ((
felix kept under the shade of the willow, a perfect hiding spot, he could see out, yet the darkness prevented anyone from seeing him where he sat.
he looked around now and again at the people walking past. having no intention of going to the ball himself he'd chosen not to wear a mask yet.
as he looked around again he saw a girl, but there was something about her, something special that held his gaze for longer than it should havee shook his head to clear his mind an carried on with his sketch, now almost finished he was adding the detail.

((Well actually there are two posts missing lol it was just me and Kisu discussing the poetry in the first post, i had something different in there before.))
Catarina wandered the meandering pathways, avoiding any large groups of party goers who might try to lure her away from her solitude. She paused to admire her favorite flower Lilium Candidum when she heard the quick footsteps of her maid Elda. Looking around for a place to hide, Catarina spotted a weeping willow nearby and rushed to hide behind its leafy curtain reaching safety just in time to watch Elda walk by obviously searching for her. Sighing from relief she leaned against the tree and then suddenly realised that she was not alone in her haven. "Oh I'm so sorry to have disturbed you sir, I'll just be on my way..."

*Rhea wandered the grounds, not sure where Catarina had disappeared to now. She overheard one of the maids giving Elda her orders. Hearing that Elda was to go to Catarina, she decided to follow the maid in shadows. Elda lead the way to the outside grounds. Rhea noticed a figure to her left. It was Catarina. Seeing the younger vampire flee from Elda, Rhea changed her course to Catarina, staying close to the shadows. Then she noticed that Catarina had found a guest beneath the Willow tree. Rhea would stay close enough to hear, just in case this young man was an assasin, but stick to the shadows, out of sight.*
[She's an eavesdropper, oh no!]

felix raised an eybrow at the sudden rush "oh? .. its no bother" he said with a polite smile "something wrong?" he asked, before she could hurry away"you're out of breath, and trying to get away from one of the maids .. trying not to be recognised ?" the pieces clicked "ahh, i see" he stood up and gave a silent bow, knowing she wouldnt want him to give her away "may i ask why?" he asked, sitting down and putting his notebook in his pocket "out for a stroll? or is it something a little more ... rebellious" his eyes glinted as memories came to him. "forgive me, we haven't been properly introduced, i am Felix, Felix Atropa Belladonna, and dont worry, your secrets safe with me" he smiled again, a calm soothing smile of someone that could be trusted

Catarina smiled, "Well Felix, you're quick aren't you." Laughing lightly she looked out at the cascading moonlight once more. "I decided to go to the party as someone else this evening, hopefully the others won't find it so easy to recognize me." Sensing her guard and close friend Rhea nearby she smiled and sent her thoughts to her. "I know you're there Rhea, this gentleman seems to be okay. You may join us if you like."
