In Auguast 1971, Maria Gomez Pereira noticed a strange stain appearing on the stone floor of her kitchen in Belemz, Spain. It slowly resolved into the image of a mans face. According to witnesses it had a look of "profound sadness". It was washed away, only to reappear. Workman tore out the stone floor and replaced the troubling tiles. The face came back! This time four maore faces appeared, all with the same sad expression on their faces. Strange noisies started to be heard through the house one of the noises sounded like a crying child. It was dicovered the house had been built over a cemetery. After excavating they found the bodies of five muder victims from the 17th century. One was a child.
