In a dark alley way the 2 demons and the demon spawn reappeared in a puff of smoke. There was no one else in the alley which smelled of sewage. This was in the poorer part of the city, and most people in the city poor to start with. The buildings were all bit close and on top of each and it had a very claustrophobic feeling to it. Winter was well underway this far north and so the streets were already covered in dirty snow and slush. Maris lifted the hood of her cloak that she was wearing (no need to explain where it came from) and pulled it over her face to hide the horns on her forehead. The cold did not affect her much since she was so used to it from serving Nirissa, but she wrapped her cloak about her to hide the fact that she was wearing so little clothing, no need to draw attention and since she could not magically blend into human society like Demons it was a necessity to do this.

"Here we are, Keslev, and it should prove colder and more to your liking my mistress," Maris said. She was kissing up and made no effort to hide it.

Nirissa's form quickly shifted, and she was young middle-class woman. "Why thank you." She smiled brightly at Maris, oh gosh how she loved devoted servants. She then directed her attention back to Arnys, "I wouldn't mind staying to watch the fight. As for the fight itself, well we'll see if any of them get on my nerves enough. Also, if we gain the queen's trust it may help us later, so I'm all for that."

As they started walking through the streets one of the things that they noticed was the overall misery of everyone in the city. Most were too scared to say it aloud, but there were some brave enough who spoke in dark alleys of 'freedom', 'liberty', and 'justice.' Even many of the soldiers and police did not seem very happy as they patrolled the streets, enforcing order.

"Or this has great potential for chaos," Maris said. She knew the power of an oppressed people, and how much fun it was to see a government fall. Well actually she had never seen a government fall, none had fallen in more than a thousand years.

Maris shrugged, "true. And I know that this is probably your favorite of all the mortal kingdoms, but it would be fun to watch this land erupt into civil war.... Perhaps it would spread into other nations as well. That is one of the better things about today, communication, word spreads quickly that chaos is brewing."

Arnys smirked,"Actually my basic idea is to get close to the queen and hopefully manage to corrupt enough to make that happen. The vampires are easy for to control with my blood and many have thier own opinions about them. If we could get them in a war you know how many more vampires they might be or less either way it would make a nice mark in the books."

Arnys smiled,"You can. I can pass for a vampire. I don't think the queen would want to trust someone who could control her so easily. If you know what I mean." She thought about a civil war over a country vs country war. "Choices choices... orcs and vampires? That might prove watchable adn it will eb easy to pick out which side is winning or not. Hard to miss the little green guys. I like it."

(I can only think of SWK's charrie Zark the orc and I feel bad being evil towards the orc because of him... sad I like that little orc. *gives Zark a pat on the head*)
