I think she is just making a quick comment on how Final Smashes were a bad idea as a whole.
But as far as which Kirby got, Crash and Mike would have been more fitting than the others suggested in this poll. Cook is good enough too. Either way, all those abilities were special abilities that destroyed everything in site or a general area. So it works...
Why would he have a star rod final smash when it is a normal item used in Smash Brothers?

That would be an interesting idea, but like Yami said, because it was already an item, it wouldn't be as special.
I think cook is a good idea; if they used something flashy or showey, like crash or mike, people would complain about it being "Cheap."

Marth's is easier to aim than Captain falcon's though. As long as Marth doesn't use his in the air or near and facing the edge of a stage he shouldn't die.

Marth's is also easy to dodge. I don't know, but I just think Marth's final smash fails. If I'm playing as him, I don't even bother to use it.

Pikachu's is harder to manage compared to Sonic's and you still have to aim right for Captain Falcons. Honestly it does not matter. Just have fun.

I love Kirby's final smash I think it be weird if he was mike Kirby since there is a helper with that kind of affect that mike Kirby has.
