Breeding Center: Has your dragon met the love of his/her life? Well, just read what's below and your critter will be well on his/her way to starting a family.
1) All adult dragons can have between 1-4 eggs per clutch. 2) RPers have a better chance at a larger clutch then non-RPers. 3) Only adults can breed, they must be opposite genders (a potion for same-gender couples will be available later on), and breeding can only occur once every 3 months. 4) Dragons mate for life and must stick by their mate, so pick your partner carefully.
Signing Up: Well, if you're here, then you probably want babies. Or you're just a curious member showing good initiative by reading all the threads. First off, check to see if there are any available breeding spots open. If there are, PM Ilium_Enchanted and make sure to include the certs of both the parents. She'll PM you back with the number of young you'll be having and you can assume the female is now pregnant and RP accordingly.
Babies! Young will generally resemble their parents in shape and colouration, but don't be surprised if a random colour turns up. Trillium often display the unique characteristics of either parents, like extra spikes, head plates, et cetera. You may not sell any of the young or do 'pet trades' for them. If you don't want one, give it to a friend or newbie or return it to the shop. We'll find it a good home if that happens.
Inbreeding is highly discouraged, so keep track of your bloodlines! No mother mating with sons or brothers with sisters. If you own two dragons that you want to breed, that's fine but the clutch will be smaller.
While the babies are eggs and very young hatchlings, the Minders and Thrummers take of them. Trillium often find a nice hidey-hole to look after their eggs, and sometimes employ a Thrummer when they are unable to watch them 24/7, though they can just as easily leave their eggs at the dragon hatchery. The parents are free to pick their children up anytime after hatching. Young are dependant on their parents until around their mid-juvenile stage.
Breeding Spots: 1) ~Closed~ 2) ~Closed~ 3) ~Closed~
Eh... Don't spam here. The Thrummers and Minders will beat you senseless.
DON'T POST PICS! LINK THEM, DURNIT! DX
