Here you can keep a record of what you're planning to do! If you want to, you can also make a new thread in the guild to keep a kind of journal of what you're doing, how your research is going, anything along those lines really 3nodding

I'm not sure about mine yet, I'm going to research the local area and see what there is I can investigate.

Remeber, it's worth planning it out instead of rushing in - not only are you bound to get better results, better results makes it more likely that you'll win the Halloween prize!

Post away!

hmm... not sure.. where to go.

But i think there are a couple of haunted places in Northumberland. I can't remember where. Every year Alan Robson of Metro Radio does a Halloween Special actually at a haunted site in the north east.

But for me I'm just gonna pull them out of my head.

well, here in colorado springs the only haunted places i know of are the third tunnel up on gold camp road, and the stanley hotel(used in stephen kings 'the shining' movie.)
however, both of those are really over used, for lack of better words, so i will try and do something else...but im really not sure.

Ah, fantastic! That link shows exactly the kind of thing we can do 3nodding

We all have plenty of time to choose our locations, so don't worry if y'all don't have anywhere in mind yet! We actually have a town ghost walk here so I'm gonna go on that as a starting point to give me some ideas. Also, I'm gonna make some freaky images myself! What I'd really love to do is go on a photo-hunt for the Beast of Exmoor (I think that's what it's called)... the storys of the large panther that supposedly stalks the moors. But that might be a bit too big a project hahah!

Here's a good start...

Barguest

Location: Appletreewick - Trollers Gill (or Ghyll)
Type: Shuck
Date / Time: Unknown
Further Comments: Possessing glowing red eyes and a yellow tint to its fur, the dog-like barguest is a harbinger of doom.

Trolls

Location: Appletreewick - Trollers Gill (or Ghyll)
Type: Fairy
Date / Time: Unknown
Further Comments: Living beneath the ravine, the trolls are said to emerge at night and track down their prey - humans. At least one farmer was lured to his death by their ability to trick people into straying from the road.

Troll tracking! The phantom hounds intrigue me also. There's many accounts of them over the years, usually as harbingers of doom and misfortune. Apparently one burst into a church once and left a trail of scorch marks where it's feet touched the stones, also setting fire to the church pews. Maybe they aren't the best of things to look into hahah!

where i live there is the "traverse city state hospital"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

its one of the largest mental institutions in the country! and also has one of the highest death counts.

it was condemned for about 25 years. an was untill fairly recently decaying and collapsing into itself.

i plan on writing a horror novel based around it. due to the fact that this place is being turned into a residential and commercial complex! 3nodding

already there is about 200 residents living here at least! ^.^

before and after pictures of the cunstruction

as you can see the complex is huge. it spans all the way from munson medical center. (the big tan building at the very edge of the left of the picture) all the way over to those sparce barns next to the diagonal road

apparantly the most haunted places in the whole complex are:

the water tower
the womens wing
the tunnels (there are miles of tunnels under the complex. they moved patiants through them so as to avoid the public seeing them..)

it was also one of the most expiramental hospitals around, the specialized in electro shock therapy.

at one point there was more patiants here then in the entire city around it! neutral

If anyone doesn't have an idea of what to do, here's one for ya:

A faked picture montage of your seeking the Holder objects! Or any other preexisting horror story that has a series of things to follow. Take pictures or video along the way as if you were following the story, and make up a gruesome one or two for the end. Just remember it's not a good idea to actually meddle in dark things, neither is it good to do anything physically dangerous. But faking never hurt anyone!

A really freaky one would be that doll thing that was posted a while back on the "Eww that's creepy" thread. Something to do with bringing the doll to life and playing hide and seek with it (it's scarier than I make it sound hahaha!). You could cover this one simply by setting up a picture of you putting the doll together, and fake shots of it hunting you. Easily and cheaply done from home! As it gets closer to Halloween ya should have no trouble getting your hands on lots of fake blood too wink
