Three months ago the rogue army led an attack against the Leaf Village, resulting in a failure and defeat. It had been an ambush caused by a spy who had lived in the rogue village for two months now. How did things end up like this? The rogue army retreated and their leader captured. Now he was imprisoned in one of the village's prisons. Chained by both arms and legs to an iron cross and placed outside in a fenced off area where he starved, waited in searing heat, and was awaiting execution in four days. The nineteen year-old rogue leader was a man named Grimm; the man with a wolf tattoo on his back and eyes like a lone wolf. His hair was a mess. He was shirtless with more than a dozen lash marks on his chest. He had not eaten for two weeks and recieved only dirty water every five days.
He remained there on the cross, a grim smile printed across his face. He was one who would not allow the Anbu the pleasure of seeing him lose hope. He held no hope, only his pride as a warrior and a rogue. "Damn bastards. Think you can break me?" he asked his wardens each day they beat him. Everyday he also had to endure trash being thrown at him by passerbyers who walked by the fence. This was Hell, but Grimm must have been a demon to withstand it.

Pia passed by this man everyday and watched what he went through, she felt bad. Today was going to be diffrent though she was going to leave her village and decided why not help him. She passed by the gate and stopped and looked at the man.She looked into his eyes and saw a strong man trying his best not to give in.

Grimm looked up the girl. Fifty feet and a tall fence seperated them. He noticed that he had seen this girl pass many times, but that wasn't unusual. He had seen many of the villagers several times. He thought for a moment and groaned. Then he looked directly at her. "Hey girl, want to make a deal? I'll owe you one if you get me the hell outta here." He didn't like throwing away his pride to ask for help, but the bindings were tough and his execution was coming up soon. He hated the idea of dying like a stray dog more than stepping on his pride.

She nodded, she knew if she escaped she would need a place to stay and this was her chance. She walked away and waited for nightfall. She had watched before how they watch him then anbu switch places to get rest, she knew she would attack at the switching to avoind battles. She waited watching from a tree until the time finnaly came. She hopped down from the tree and ran swiftly until she reached the fence, theen quietly jumped over. She ran toward the man and quickly with a light touch of her gentle fist technique they were broken.

Grimm dropped to his feet and fell on his knees from weakness. He glanced around until he found the door leading inside the base and stumbled into a run towards it. He found the door unlocked and entered the main office where two guards stood. He lowered his body and pinned the first guard against a wall while the second came from behind. He gave the first a punch to the face and kicked the other against the wall. The first guard slid to the floor as the other was recovering from the kick. Grimm stole a kunai from his pouch and slit his throat.
He looked around, spying no other guards and moved to the storage room. "No way in hell am I leaving without my swords," he said to himself as he sheathed both the swords and attached them to his belt. He found his shirt and pulled it on over his scarred and bloodied torso. As he finished gathering his belongings and snatching a few smoke bombs he moved quickly out the door to where the girl waited. "Almost forgot my stuff," he explained. "Let's book it before these bastards decide to show up." A red siren sounded over the base and the door flew open with Anbu shuffling out into the fenced area. "Speak of the devil."

Pia took one look at them then yelled to Grimm "Leave this to me, I could take each one of them."She took out a kunia and raced towards them attacking them all one at a time, they soon came falling down.She finished attacking them in aa few minutes, she turned and said to grimm" I know the fastest way out." She jumped in a tree and headed for the village gates."Let's go."

Grimm followed her path and raced with his head low and arms behind him. He soon passed her. "Tsk, you're too damn slow girl!" He whistled and looked side to side. Then from a thicket of bushes a large wolf with a scar over one eye raced towards them, running alongside them. "Get on and hurry up or I'll leave your a** behind," he said as he left the wolf and the girl behind him. He sped along, passing through the village gate as more Anbu came from the left and right to stop their advance. "Get the f**k out of my way!" he shouted as he drew his dual swords in a spin, slashing the Anbu in a tornado style.

Pia ran faster as the anbu started to arrive, pretty soon she was back up front with grimm,"Wow a little girl surpases you, what kind of ninja are you?" she quickly passes him and speeds ahead.

Grimm ran alongside the wolf and looked at him. The wolf gave a glance and looked ahead. "Damn girl. Like I'd ever be a ninja. Hey Fang, as soon as we're clear of the village, we're ditching this twerp." Fang seemed to nod as they entered the forest. Grimm looked back and didn't see anyone following, so it seemed the Anbu had given up the chase for now. He continued near a mile until he and Fang could settle into a clearing. He dropped on the ground and Fang laid down to take a rest near a boulder. Grimm's stomach growled noisily as he was fixing his hair back and adjusting his gloves.

Pia hung upsode down from a tree watching him carefully, she knew Grimm was planning to ditch her since she could read his thoughts with her byuakugan. She looked at him trying to figure his fighting style. "I brought food would you like some."She holds out a bag to him."

Grimm spat at the ground. "Forget it. I can't accept any more help from a puny ninja. Time to split Fang," he said. Fang ran off ahead with Grimm tailing him. "Heh, baka! Like I'd stick around with a ninja. I'm a loner, a rogue!"

Pia quickly apeared in front of him and used gentle fist,"You made a deal and now you will complete it" She stopped his chakara and hit his pressure points enableing no movement."You will complete the deal or I can dragg your a** back to the village. I can eaisly make them believe you kidnapped me to hold me hostage." She smiled."Well"

Grimm cursed, "Damn b***h." Fang sat waiting. Grimm nodded for him to go ahead back to the camp. Fang did as he was told and disappeared from view. "What the hell do you want then?" he asked roughly as he dropped into a sitting position.

Grimm smirked, "You sure? I'm only weak for now, but once I regain my strength I may kill you. A little girl like you couldn't defeat the rogue leader and kage-killer." He stood shakily and walked past her. "If you're sure you want to risk your life, that's your own business. But I'm only taking you as far as the rogue village. After that, you're on your own." He set off down the road with his arms hanging numb at his sides. He looked back, "Oh, and some rules. I don't need help, I don't like to be touched, don't talk to me unless it's important, and you stay out of my fights. Got it?" Then he continued on the long trail back towards the rogue village. It was an isolated village located between the Fire Country and Wind Country. From the Leaf Village it would take possibly three days to cross the border and another two days to reach the village.
