So, as Senwifey knows, I've just gotten Pokémon Platinum (which I've been wanting since it came out in Japan) and I keep getting distracted by playing it. XD
I absolutely love Pokémon. The games are addicting, the anime and movies are fun to watch, and I've started reading some of the manga (which isn't as kid friendly as the anime!).
Any other Poké-fans here wish to share the obsession? Remember to observe the rules about spoilers if you're talking about upcoming or recent episodes or movies so as not to spoil people. ♥

I thought about re-downloading the emulator, but when I think about it... the thing doesn't work well and the game often lags, especially the music. I think I'll just wait until I am able and buy a DS and some Poke games. *nodnods*
Makes me wish I had more money when I was actually working at Nintendo. @_@

You should get Platinum, since it's got more stuff in it than Diamond or Pearl. *nods*
Also they're doing remakes of Gold and Silver for the DS with bonus stuff in them. I'm totally getting one when they come out (slated to come out in English sometime next year I believe).

They should remake Yellow. I know I'm a dork, but having Pikachu follow you everywhere in the game was absolutely the most adorable thing ever.
I used to have both Gold and Silver... Silver was a Japanese import. An old roommate of mine and Nathen's stole them, though.

What's really cool is in Amity Square (in Platinum, I think in Diamond and Pearl too) in Hearthome City, you can have a cute Pokémon follow you around.
I ought to go back there with the Pikachu I caught. XD
Possible (and possibly unconfirmed but I want to be on the safe side) spoiler about upcoming games:
I've also heard rumours that you can possibly be followed around by any Pokémon you want in at least part of HeartGold/SoulSilver, but I don't know if this is true.(end spoiler)

Yeah... Diamond and Peal have a park where you can walk around with your cute Pokemon. But they have to be cute. o_o Seems unfair. What if I wanted to walk around with my Onyx? Ya know... if I had one. Which I did when I was playing, because Onyx is cool!

Yeah, and there are a lot of really cute Pokemon that are excluded. Like Eevee. WTF. I wanted to walk around with Eevee and Eevee is definitely cute.

I like pokemon, but I can't bring myself to play the games fully anymore. x_x I wish pokemon were real though. There are so many pokemon now that I have no clue which I'd want if they were real haha

Oh, I wish they were real too. Though I think most of the ones I like would probably hurt me badly if they were real (not to mention destroy the house since a lot of them are kind of... huge and ill-tempered, that or they're Fire types and would probably burn the house down even without meaning to, and the Electric types would probably zap the hell out of me).
Though something like Skitty or Eevee would be perfectly fine to have around as a real thing. And I could see me getting two Eevees and evolving them into Espeon and Umbreon. And it would be so cute to have an Azurill or something, especially if I lived somewhere with a pool and could have random cute Water-type Pokemon swimming around in it.
Though part of me says "to heck with all that, if Pokemon were real I'd go after all the legendaries and see what happens".

Aww x_x The Legendaries wouldn't belong to anyone unfortunately. You'd be lucky if you even saw one. Certain pokemon really would be difficult to have in real life. I love Gyarados but that thing would freak the s**t out of me for realz. I think I'd mostly want a pokemon that's either water/ice/grass/psychic/flying type.
