This was posted on Pagan_Prompt on LJ a few weeks back. There are some interesting responses there and I was curious about yours. Quote: In a single sentence - What is the essence of your spiritual beliefs and/or principles? Don't overthink it, just answer as it comes to mind. ^_^ Feel free to be un-academic. blaugh For those interested, the original is here. I like the different ways people answered.

"There is no power greater in all the world, than that of a man and woman conjoined in the bonds of love."
Either that, or 'Do no evil. Honour thy Gods. Defend thy honour.'

The first one is rather lovely ^_^ It's hard to choose and to sum it all up in one line.

Live Life – Respect Life – Protect Life
I follow this, something I created for myself to follow, simple to understand and explain. So far I've kept to it.

It is definitely hard to do it in a quick little sentence. The very first thing that came to mind was simply Love - so in a way Morg's first was a really good expression of what I was thinking.
However cheesy it may sound (and I know it's not original in anyway), if I had to pick something I'd choose:
"we all come from the Goddess and to her we shall return"
It sums up the connectedness of everything and the never ending cycle of life-death-rebirth - at least to me.

Life is what you make of it, so enjoy it.
I think.. It's really hard for me to put into a simple sentence what I believe.

To cover the basics: "The reconstruction of pre-Christian beliefs and practices of Northern Europe."
For something fun/creative: "God, save us from the fury of the Norsemen!"

" They say to beleive in something or you'll beleive in anything, but I beleive in everything." that's the best i can do for my pathless self right now xd I love the Quote: "God save us from the fury of the Norsemen " whee

I'm still looking, but I've come up with one line that seems fitting:
"All answers can be found in the sweep of wind and the taste of wild dust."

"Christians, we have your women."
Or what Vi said, but add studying in front of it.

i made this up in 8th grade.. " Live to love, to protect, and to provide; Live to honor, to worship and to guide."
although to me, each word meant something significant to me. it was actually in a poem i wrote although i ended up loosing it.
It is funny to me that i made that up.. 6 years ago, and i still live by it wink
uhh.. does that count as one sentence?

I would have to say:
Each step we take is lessons learned yet each step we take means more to enjoy.
