Story Prompt- Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum'

Not quite normal rp format but I wanted to try something that that showed snippets of each day using the 'what was the first week with them like' prompt.

Monday

" What are your names" Blaice asked curiously as she stared down at the two strange boys that shown up in her living room. They'd appeared in the space of time it had taken her to go to the bathroom after getting back in from going out to the mall.

" We dunno," replied one of the crimson eyed boys, a mop of white hair atop his head.

" No clue," echoed the red haired other.

" Well where did you come from? " Maybe they'd hit their heads an wandered in or something, that or they were being stubborn and didn't want to tell her their names becuase they certainly didn't belong in her house. Of course if that was the case Blaice fully expected them to lie again

" We dunno"

" No clue"

So it went practically every question the icy blue eyed woman tried to ask was answered with " we dunno" and " no clue". The pair seemed to be answering honestly though. They didn't know who they were or where they came from; they didn't remember who they got into the living room or anything else at all except that they were meant to stay together, that they were twins. A Quick call to the CDL head office revealed that no nobody on the grounds had reported any missing children today either.

It was only the disturbed copy of Alice in wonderland and through the looking glass that gave the blond haired woman any clue as to how the children had gotten into her home and where they actually came from. Well the fact that it was out of the shoppign bag and lay open to the start of the chapter with Tweedle dum and Tweedle dee.

The seraph shivered the feathers on each of her sets of wings quivering as she did so. It looked as though it had happened again that Gaia had once again taken and unsuspecting person and made them a parent.

Tuesday

Blaice now referred to the twins as Bryce who had the sort of cranberry red hair and Perry who had the white. Neither seemed all that bot hered by their new names, not that they knew their old ones, although regardless of who she called both seemed to come running.

The angel had started frowning though when that day had revealed that no matter how many times she put them in the new clothes she'd bought them they always stripped as soon as she left them alone. The multi winged woman would let them them out of sight for just a few minutes and they'd be back in the clothes they'd appeared in or go naked if she tried to hide them. While Blaice could was their clothes everyday so they were wearable it just wasn't right for children to do that, to be so attached to clothes.

It looked like being a mother, especially a single one was going to be harder than she thought.

Wednesday
As she transplanted steadily growing seedlings from their tiny black trays into the ground, Blaice watched the boys splashing about in the kiddie pool she'd gotten them. As the days passed the young woman had started to notice little quirks about them. Bryce usually always spoke before Perry if they weren't speaking in unison. Both boys appeared to be left handed, neither liked fish and while both enjoyed grilled cheese Perry had to have his with no crust.

Blaice's lightly tanned skin was stained dark by the soil and began to smell of dirt by the time she was done. Looking over her shoulder she could still see her boys chasing each other around the yard happily occasionally stopping as they ran out of breath. Maybe she could manage this parenting thing.

Thursday

Blaice prays for forgiveness after the hour she spends wondering if there is a way to send her little ones back into their book. She knows they don't understand why flowers are special to her but it's the fact that they barely seemed to care she cried when they trampled them in their playing that hurts worse. Maybe it's becuase they are boys and she's never really understood little boys, not ever her brothers when they were younger.

By the end of the day when she tucks the boys in and kisses each one's forehead, despite the annoyed annoyed scrunched up face they give her, the woman is over it. She's still sad for the loss and a little angry about their reluctance to accept that they did something wrong but Blaice has forgiven them. They are boys and young and despite her time of weakness she would never truly want to banish them back to simply being words in a book.

Friday

Blaice wonders how many days in a row children can demand grilled cheese and refuse to eat anything else for lunch. Perhaps a bit too passive for her own good she gives in again and thinks that tomorrow she'll make them macaroni and they'll eat it if they like it or not.

Saturday
" Boys comes back, Bryce put that back on the shelf and Perry you can't take things from other people's carts." The blond woman sighed and pushed her half full shoppign card forward chasing after her little ones and realized just why her parents refused to take her or her siblings grocery shopping.

Sunday

Written in Blaice's journal is found the following entry

The boys met Varian today, Erigin's little boy who also came from a book. The three didn't really seem to hit it off at the start but there seems to be a mild truce amongst them now and Varian has promised to teach Bryce and Perry to juggle, something he appeared knowing how to do if only a little. Anyways it was a good day for them and three of them wore themselves out playing so the boys are sleeping peacefully now instead of insisting on many bedtime stories

It's been a strange and long week, I'm a little nervous about what is yet to come but after surviving this I'm sure I can handle whatever happens next week and the week after.

Note: If I did win the twins I'd actually have Blaice pick them up at the library but for the purpose of the prompt I wanted to have them appear from the book that she'd bought.
