Tablets are used by most artist that color their art digitally. So many dont have one because of the prices but there are cheaper ones now. Who really know what brand to get or is the cheap just a waste of money? So many important questions.

Wacom is a winner every time. I suppose the Intuos if you can afford one. I use a Graphire4 at the moment as it has all the basic settings.
Anyone here use a tablet for 100% of a work rather than just colouring? I like to start from scratch in Photoshop personally.

I do, I use an old wacom, donno what type but I've had it for years.
I use it for sketching, inking and colouring. It just needs practise so I usually doodle to get reused to the movements and then sketch out the picture. Ctrl z is abused too much sometimes with me.
I used to only use it for inking and colouring from a scanned piece, then I just scanned in the very basics of what I want and added detail via the tablet and kept doing that until I could do it all on the computer. Sometimes though, I still find it easier to draw it, so if I can't get the image I want on the computer I'll draw it on paper and vs versa, so far I'm mostly sketching with the wacam.
