Every artist know of anime or manga. Whats the difference? I have noticed not everyone has the same thoughts on them.

From what I know, manga is the actual comic drawn out on the paper. And anime is the show that you would see on TV.

I usually prefer the manga over the anime. But as far as anime is concerned, I love the first Fullmetal Alchemist series and D Gray Man.

When Japanese people refer to Spiderman or Xmen, etc. They'll say: manga cause (as the above says) manga is the equivalent word for comic.

Anime = Animation (taken directly from the word animation)

I think the confusement comes from where people say 'I draw in anime style' because a manga drawing could be indeed interperated as a drawing in the style of anime, regardless of whether or not the drawing is intended to be used in animation.

That made no sense, did it? lol.

You are somewhat correct. Manga was origonally in Japanese, but now they have it in the language we speak, English.

Well, I think that people say they draw in anime style is because manga refers to comic style (or means comic as said previously). If you just draw a picture in anime form and not a comic, then it's not really manga because it's not a comic. I hope that has made sense >.<

I read a comic book that's a Manga - Fairytale- but it's made by the same people who made Rave Master - whitch is on tonight on TV- So, I think Manga is the english version of anime and anime is Japanese animations.
