Akane sat by a river/creek and soaked her feet in it. She smiled happily to herself as she leaned back and rested against a tree that grew next to the river/creek.

Akane stood as the sun was starting to get in her eyes. She sighed and began walking off into the forest, looking for something to do.

After a while, Hiroshi scented human. "Hew Mai, I think there's a village close by let's check it out!"
"Okay." Mai held closer to him, as she felt her demon powers decreasing. Hiroshi reacted to her regribbed hold and pulled her closer. Finally they came to a bridge leading into a large fenced are. Hiroshi tightened his gribbon Mai's arm and growled deeply. "Hiroshi?"
"Wait here," Hiroshi said setting Mai on her feet. He bolted into the village.
"Hiroshi?" Mai scratched her head then sat down. *He still has my apple...*
Mai flinched as she saw the sun setting. *Hurry up... don't just leave me here alone.* Suddenly a hand cuffed around her mouth, she tried to squeel for Hiroshi, but it was a failed attempt. She tried to kick the b*****d holding her. "The more you fight the shorter your little friends life will be." said a menecing voice as he whipped Mai around to face Hiroshi, who was battling a large black shape. "And don't worry, he won't watch you struggle as you fight for your life." He chuckled in a deep voice.

THe mans hold lessend and with every ounce of her human strength pushed away from his grip. She ran through the village entrance, looking for something to fight with. She grabbed a sword, and some arrows, as well as a bow to complete the weapons. Suddenly she realized that the village was abandoned. *I wonder what happened her* Mai ran back out and fired an arrow at the man.

The man jumped at her with determinnation. * A demon!* She shot another arrow, carefully aiming. The arrow hit the foe's heart. A cloud of purple dust then veiled over her as the man's silhoet disapeared. Mai looked for Hiroshi, but the mist was to thick. *cough cough.......MIASMA!!!* Mai then felt dizzy and continued to cough.


Hiroshi heard Mai's cough as he took the dark object by the throat. "I sware if anything happens to her..." Suddenly it to slowly distapeared into nothing. "What is this!" Hiroshi flared. "Mai..." He dashed quickly into the miasma cloud.

Hiroshi noticed Akane, and felt a pang of releif. He found Mai still caughing hard in the decreasing miasma. He picked up her head leaving her body on the ground. " he padded her back as the purple poison came from her nose and mouth. He looked back at Akane. "Thank you." Mai was still coughing in his hands, as he padded her back.
Mai's throat hurt and she gasped for air. "Hir... cough...oshi... cough," she struggled to talk as she was being padded.

Mai turned her head to look at Akane, still coughing. "I'm...cough.....Mai, thank you." She pulled slightly away from Hiroshi. He let go of her as she wobbled to get on her feet. Hiroshi held her hand as she finally stood staight. She made her way over to Akane holding out a hand. "This is Hiroshi."
