Fire and smoke filled the air. The mother ran in and pulled her children from their bed, throwing a pair of cloths into a sack and giving them to the boy. She picked them up and put the boy and the girl on a large black horse. "Run Doslyen. Run with Wyn and do not look back." She said. The boy, Doslyen, who was no older than 13 nodded and whipped the reins of the horse. "Hold on tight Wyn and close your eyes." He said to his little sister. She nodded and held onto him, buri=ying her head in his chest. The siblings sped off, leaving the burning village behind them.
The raced forward for days, until they reached a small village that was nearly a town, on the border of Rohan and Malick. The boy, exhausted slipped from the horse and pulled his sleeping sister off. "Wake up Wyn, we must go in." He said, setting her down. She nodded and rubbed her eyes, taking his hand. The two walked up to the closed gate. "Please open up! We are survivors from a village too small to have a name. It was attacked by goblins. We need shelter." He called. Slowly the gate opened just enough to let them and the horse slip in. He found a dry enough ally for them and the fell asleep.
Wyn giggled and ran with the other urchin children of the town. She'd been living here for a week with erh brother, waiting for her mother to meet them. Her blonde hair looked brown it was so dirty and her skin looked dark, but her blue eyes shone with the innocence of her six years. "Find the Urchin!" The kids yelled, then fell to the ground. When the last one standing sighed they all laughed and split in every direction. Wyn shot through the allies to the marketplace, running. She looked back behind her and ran into someone in front of her, falling. "oof!" She said.

Wyn took his hand and pulled her self up. She pushed her wild hair back with her small hands and looked up at him. "I sowy mister!" She said, her blue eyes bright against her dirty face. She smiled, a look to make any woman feel maternal feelings for the young girl. It was already obvious she was going to be a pretty woman. "I'm Wynelerre." She said, her name marking her from the reigon of Rohan. "I'm six!" She exclaimed proudly. She drew a ew giggles from a few young girls as she stood proudly in her ragged cloth dress and dirtiness.
"Wynnie!" A boy called, pushing his way through the crowd. He came up beside her and took her hand. "I'm sorry sir, she's only six. I hope she didn't bother you." He said.

"Only until mommy comes here!" Wyn said, still smiling up at him. Her brother Doslyen looked down and nodded. "Yea." He said. Wyn frowned and looked at him. "But mommy will be here soon?" She asked. Doslyen looked away from her and nodded, looking back and smiling a little. "Of course Wynnie. Mommy will be with us soon." He said. Wyn smiled again.

Wyn looked to Doslyen. He nodded. "Sure." He said. "That be nice." Wyn giggled and skipped. "Yay! Dosyin we have a home!" She giggled. Doslyen smiled and rubbed his hand through his unkept brown hair. "Yea, let's follow the man Wynnie." He said, taking her hand again.

Wyn gasped and ran forward, to the huose. "Woah!" She exclaimed, loking ack at doslyen. "Look bubba! It's..." She scrunched her face in thought. "Huge." Doslyen breathed, looking up at it. "Ya! Hoooge!" She said with giggle. She ran around back, then ran back to the front. "Where's Tuckey?" She asked.

Wyn ran into the houes, Doslyen following behind her a litle slwoer, she ran in and out of rooms, stopping in one with a semi-large bed. "I want this one! Bubba! This ones ours!" She said, climbing on the bed. Doslyen walked in and gently pulled her off the bed. "You're dirty Wyn, don't get on the furniture." He said
