Most would think that monsters are cold, heartless, needing only the blood of others to survive and are just plain abominations. But... What about vampires? Most would think that because of their inhuman acts of blood sucking and utter disregard for human life that they hold no longing for or torwards love. They wouldnt really have need for it.. They cant have children, they cant feel anything.. But they are wrong.. Oh so very wrong.. If a vampire is heartless why drive a stake into it to kill them? If it doesnt exist then why stab it? If a creature has a heart.. It can love something.. It can desire something.. For all feelings.. All emotions come from the heart. It is the root of all goodness.. All evil.. But because of their reputation all vampires have been shunned.. Looked down upon as vile leeches with only the meere deceptive form of a human.. Now none consider a vampire for what they once were.. human.. Or even other creatures.. Demons and Lycans.. They too seek this elusive feeling.. this emotional, physical and pscycological bond between two beings.. Even the evil feel their emotions.. Emotions are not just a human characteristic.. What kind do you seek? What kind seeks you.. Will you overcome the difference? Or will the difference overcome you? And will others allow it.
1. ROMANCE IS A MUST!!! 2. No cybering. (time skips are accepted.) No Details. 3. Action is demanded. Im not just a romance writer.. Im also a guy.. 4. NO GOD MODDING meaning.. you cant turn your partner without their permission.. you cant rape people.. and you cant force people to love you..(mainly for vampires and demons) 5. Love triangles are encouraged.. makes lots of drama. Always good for a story. 6. No extravagent cursing!!! 7.No killing other characters unless discussed between you and the other person. 8. Vampires and demons can have powers. BUT no ULTIMATE powers.. 9. Always.. follow the gaia TOS. 10. And the most important.. which I leave to the last as the most important you remember. Be literate!! Make sure every sentence is readable and describe things in detail not to the point of being a jerk but so that people can understand you.

The taste, the smell, the beautiful color- it was the most sublime thing she had ever seen- and she couldn't get enough of it. Of course, she had to control herself, after all, if 20 humans disappeared in one night, they got suspicious. Her teacher, who was one of her first memories, taught her discretion and restraint. He still lived in the old country.... Romania... the mother land, but she had left her home for the new world... and new blood. Gaia name: Bonniebluejeans Character name: Raven Hayden Race: Human Age: 22 History: She is strong willed, but compassionate, driven, but also sentimental. She is not afraid to be alone, she has felt she was on her own for most of her life. Her parents died under mysterious circumstances when she was 10, leaving her and her two brothers to be raised by their grandmother. Her extended family is sort of strange. They are very proud and have some sort of secret heritage that no one talks about. When she was a teenager her aunt and uncle taught her how to fight, shoot and throw knives, though she never has any real occasion to use those skills and is really very rusty. Her uncle keeps sending her odd gifts like guns and silver bullets, which she stuffs away in storage. After her grandmother died of old age two years ago, her brothers left on their own ventures and she stayed on in town and now co-owns and works at small (very small) cafe and catering service. Powers: N/A (she has some fighting skills, though) Appearance:
Gaia name: Bonniebluejeans Character name: Kaz Race: Demon Age: 700 + History: A trouble maker and a rogue, wherever he goes he's sure to make something happen. Impulsive, he values his freedom and does as he pleases, seldom thinking very much of the consequences. He feeds off of chaos... literally. In order to feed his power he needs mana, the life energy of living things, especially people. When people are in a frenzy he can take what he needs from the masses without trouble.
He's lived in the area since before there were established cities much less a nation, wandering the countryside and causing trouble to whatever village or peoples he happened across. Before that he lived somewhere across the ocean... he doesn't know what the people called it... all he remembers about it is a mass expanse of desert and that while there, he was called a Jin. He fled the presence of his domineering older brother and came here sneaking aboard one of the first ships to cross the water. He has recently returned to the city from pestering nearby towns because he is bored and has a feeling that things might get interesting here... Powers: Short distance teleportation, Limited shape shifting (it takes several years for him to learn a new form) He currently knows 6. He can also blend with his surroundings in a chameleon like way. He can break things with his touch. Mechanical and man-made things are his specialty, but he has been known to send a tree limb falling or to cause a slight bone fracture. Appearance:
((Not entirely pleased with this pic... maybe sometime I'll get around to making one for myself that I like....))

Gaia name: misswho Character name: Kaidan (Kai) Wingates Race: human Age: 24 History: Born to a Japanese mother and English father, Kai was raised in a loving environment. Although he never knew any other members of his family he received lots of attention from his mom and dad, as if they were trying to make up for his missing relations. In school he quickly excelled, academic study suiting his calm, hard-working personality. It was seen he would quickly follow in his mothers footsteps and become a doctor, rather then join his father in the armed forces. However, Kai's apparently perfect life was quickly ruined. Returning home from the hosptial for a visit at one night he found the house empty, his parents having disappeared. Fearing he'd be a suspect for the police he fled, selling his medical expertise to get by. Powers: N/A (But does have extensive medical training) Appearance:
Gaia name:Beatriix Character name: Arietta Race: human/demon Age: 400 History: Arietta is the child of a human woman and a Nephilim. Her mother was raped and she hoped that Arietta could maybe be a light from the darkness. When she was born and had small wings on her back her mother went into a deep depression. She took care of Arietta until she could take care of herself and then she committed suicide. Arietta has since traveled and hidden from humans and demons alike. Now that she doesn't have to hide she owns a small shop that sells rare and new books. She is quiet and comes off as cold, but she is a warm person if you get to know her, although she is extremely guarded. She likes to listen to the rain and read her books. She is extremely reclusive, and while polite to everyone has no friends and is mostly left alone. She doesn't feel the need to fill a silence with conversation so most people find her hard to be around, as they feel like she is ignoring them. Powers:As a half breed she doesn't have strong powers - in fact her powers are healing ones. She can heal almost any wound and her presence has a soothing effect on those who accept her for how she is. Appearance:Arietta has black hair, and it is always up in a bun thing. She has a large bow at the base of her bun. She has small wings on her back (her dress has a lower back) and they have white and red feathers. Her dress isn't that low in the front though XD
Gaia name:Evey18 Character name:Edmund Skiey Race:Vamp Age:889 History:Edmund is a member of the illustrious and feared Coven, which is the name given to the Vampire Council located in Romania. The largest vampire population exists there, still clinging a bit to the old ways, and the coven is a sort of government very similar to a monarchy. Edmund was part of the growing human slave trade on the vampire black market, when he was purchased by one Illiana Descov, and changed. Ever since, he has been a member of court under Illiana. Powers: mist and mind influence. Appearance: Edmund
Gaia name: Cassandra Voorhees Character name: Zacharias Valentine Race: Vampire Age: 1084; Looks around 20 History: Zacharias is one of the rare few who are born into the world as a vampire. His family leads one of the largest and most influencial covens abroad (in Europe; centered around England). While they respect the presence of the greater Vampire Council in Romania, they maintain their power as an independent sector. Zacharias is the fourth and youngest of the children in the noble Valentine House. Being the youngest, with what is seen as the weakest power, Zacharias was ignored most of the time. He didn't mind though, instead he enjoyed the freedom this gave him. Although the drama and chaos in the European vampire world is enough to sate his appetite, Zacharias knows there is more to be seen. It is his morbid curiosity and love of chaos that brings him to New York. Powers: Being born into a pureblood family, Zacharias displays a fluidity and grace above the average vampire. Unlike his siblings who got offensive gifts, Zacharias was blessed with a different kind of power: he has an extremely high tolerance for light yet retains his sensitivity in the dark. In short, his range of environments he can operate in at full potential is significantly higher than others. Appearance: Zacharias has very sharp, angular, facial features. The kind befitting of royalty. Though normally this would make him appear domineering and cruel, Zacharias is almost always caught with a bright smile on his face. Charming and suave, even his cool dead black eyes sparkle. Of course, this occurs only when the mood permits. Zacharias has deep gray hair; the kind of gray that looks like black paint that has been sitting in the sun for too long. Faded, but not old. He likes wearing rich vibrant colours, usually reds, but also likes the neutral palette.
Gaia name: Sylvana Inkheart Character name: Feona Lilyvenom Race: Human Age: 16 History: Unknown Powers: None Appearance:

Gaia name: Cassandra Voorhees Character name: Frost Race: Undead; shares some vampire blood but not enough to be considered a vampire. Age: Unknown (suspected to be around the age of the ancients) History: Not much is known about Frost as the only living memory of his past is himself. No records of him have been found and even his own accounts of reality have been fading. Powers: Frost can manipulate, sometimes animate, certain creatures to do his bidding or expand his senses. Like vampires, he needs a source of energy to maintain physical form which he gains by absorbing the life out of other beings. Appearance: Frost has incredibly pale skin giving him the appearance of a ghost. Everything about him screams malnourished -his lanky form, bony hands, dark sunken eyes. He wears a rich black cloak that drapes loosely over his delicate body, flowing and wispy like shadows.
Gaia name: Aarietta Character name: Thage Race: Fae Age: 350 History: She is a Fae who decided to leave the Fae realm to live in the earth one. She is the princess of the Sun Fae and inherited he ability to control the sun, but is by no means invincible. She set up her club for supernaturals, and supernatural "fans". She tends to be flamboyant like most Fae, and can be slightly vain at times, but is a caring person to her friends. She made her own fortune with the club over the last 150 years. Powers: can use the sun to create extreme heat, help things grow, kill things (aka scorch the earth etc), turn night into day ad day into night (by manipulating the sun). If she over uses her powers she gets very tired as she does not live in the Fae realm, so she isn't a one person army. They kind of like the limits on vampire powers - hard ot beat, but beatable none the less Appearance: Has sliver white hair, amber eyes, pale skin. She wears blood red lipstick, and everything in her outfit is black, black lace, and the ribbons are blood red. Yes, I drew her >.<

James walked into the street of the city he had just moved into.. his white long coat making him standout alittle from the crowed.. but what made him stand out was his almost statue like carved face. looking as pale as white alabaster stone and as smooth as carved marble.. and yet his body flowed and moved like quiet water. upon getting closer women would just glimpse at him and see his eyes red as crimson blood and as cold as ice with a strange welcoming glow.. he was a killer.. trained and experianced for 2 thousand years of honed into killing perfection.

((Okay to post?)) Raven leaned onto the counter and watched the people passing by the window of her cafe. The dining area, small as it was, looked empty and hollow. Everything was neatly in place, everything polished and as clean as she could make it the little hole in the wall that was the Moonflower cafe. She had sent the others home for the day, there was nothing for them to do with the place so empty anyway. It was hard to get a new business started in this city. Raven put her face into her bare arms and moaned. More red ink for the books tonight.
Well, no point in moping! No one ever got anything by just waiting! She decided she would drag someone off the street if she had to. She stretched her long arms upward and ran lightly over to the door and peeked outside.

Vivian Elwards stepped off the boat along with the other passengers. To a more trained eye, they might have noticed that many of the passengers seemed slightly dazed, a couple of them favoring their necks, but other than that, it was your typical crowd.
Vivian gazed around the new world and smiled. "When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer..." Vivian whispered to no one in particular. She enjoyed the covetous glances of the sailors on the docks. She was beautiful and powerful- everything she dreamed of being and more, because Vivian was going to live forever. She breathed in the sea air and stared around the dock. Even here, at the dock, the stark contrast from Romania was overpowering. To a lesser being, it might have been intimidating, but Vivian was not a lesser being.
She walked straight up to a cab that had pulled up and said confidently, "I believe you've been waiting for me?" The cab driver started to protest, but the moment he met her eyes he stopped. "Yes, of course, please get in." Vivian smiled wickedly and picked up her small suitcase of belongings and got in. "Where to mum?" Vivian thought a moment. "Find me somewhere classy, I'm looking for a place to stay." The driver nodded and started the engine, honking at a few dazed people still wandering around the dock. "You'll want to stay at the Crosswar Hotel then, Miss."

James kicked a pebble or two as he walked as if he were bored.. infact for an immortal he was rather bored.. he hadnt had much to do since the last slayer he killed.. and regular humans were rather boring at most times.. he kept walking going nowhere in particular he was actually going to be heading back to his home soon if he didnt find something that interested him. It was then that he spotted a woman standing in the doorway of her shop.. she was looking directly at him as if waiting for him to get closer.. James wasnt usually warry of humans even slayers.. he would sit across from them and have nice long conversations at times..

After inviting several people into her cafe, and being politely (sometimes not so politely) refused, Raven was starting to get discouraged. She glanced back at her storefront rather remorsefully. Did it look that bad? She sighed and turned back out to face the street. Her eyes fell on a man walking down the sidewalk. The first thing that struck her about him, was how oddly dressed he was. Fashion wasn't really her thing, but the white coat and white hair seemed unusual to her. He looked depressed she thought. When he saw her, she waved and smiled.
"Want to come in? All items half off today!"
It was the same thing she had said to almost a dozen people already, and she she was half expecting to be turned down. She smiled anyway, bracing herself for the "no thankyou" that she was sure she would recieve.

The cab dropped Vivian off at the front of a very nice looking hotel. Nice was one way of putting it, the place looked like the castles from home. Perfect. If she was going to conquer this new world- she should do it from the comfortable view of a castle.
She walked boldly in the front doors and up to the receptionist desk. She looked her full in the eyes. "Your nicest room has been prepared for my arrival, yes?" The woman's eyes went blank and hazy. "Best room?" she asked slowly. Vivian waited patiently. Humans were so stupid when in a trance, though, they weren't that much better out of it. "Yes... Yes our best room, your name?" "Victoria Bell." "Ahhh, yes, Miss Bell, let me just write that down here- er, how long did you say you were staying?" "An indeterminate amount of time, namely until I get bored." "Very good Madam. Charles here well carry your things to your room, top floor, Presidential suit. here is the key. Please, enjoy your stay at the Crosswar, and if you need anything at all, just ask." Vivian smiled. Room service might be called upon if she felt like having a midnight snack... yes, this place would do very nicely. But for now, she wanted to explore her new realm.
She left the bag for the small lanky bell boy to take an walked out into the twilight covered city. She breathed deeply again, then strode off down the street. The brisk air felt wonderful against her bare shoulders, blowing through the folds of her skirt, her hair streaming in the breeze.

James looked at her.. he was almost suprised.. no human had ever just happily asked him to come in. he blinked a few times and shook his head." Why yes.. I will.." human food was usually good when he was invited inside.. when a mortal invites a vampire inside they lose all power to fight the vampire.. its an odd thing but it also gives vampires a more human appetite.. James smiled and followed her in.. he walked to the counter and began looking at the various things listed on the menu." I will have your strawberry drink and hmm what do you suggest to eat?"

Raven smiled pleasantly when he said he wanted to come into her store. She had rather expected him to turn her down when she had asked, and she now felt that maybe her store was not as bad off as she had thought. An odd thing happened when he followed her in, though. The moment he crossed the threshold behind her Raven felt her skin crawl suddenly and she tensed for a moment. She suddenly had this terrible feeling. Something old and deep inside her, a sort of primal instinct was telling her to run like mad. She shook it off, though. She was much to sensible a person to pay very much attention to a fleeting emotion like that. However, it did throw her a bit, so that she did not answer him immediately. She rounded the corner and went behind the counter.
"Hmm? Oh, yes. The strawberry drink? Okay. To eat? Well I like everything of course, so I guess it depends on what you're in the mood for. Lets see...."
She tapped her finger on her chin thoughtfully. Then leaned over and pointed to various section of the menu.
"If you just want a snack, the blueberry muffins are fairly popular, and so are the cheese puffs. We also have some sandwiches right here."

"Such delicious selection." Vivian murmured appreciatively, eyeing the local gentry. "So many to chose from, plenty of flavors... Let's see, what am I in the mood for? Tonight I think a young African American will do splendidly. They have such a rich, wild taste...."
She eyed the thronging crowds, searching for a suitable candidate. There. The man was tall, his ebony skin reflecting the last rays of sunlight in a way that made Vivian's mouth water. Her movements began to become slow and predator esk, making the people around her unconsciously stiffen up. Even if they didn't know it, the most carnal and basic parts of their brains recognized an ancient fear. She followed the young man around the corner. Fool. He was alone. He took a couple of turns down some allies then stopped, his back to her. "You're following me, why?" he asked, his voice low and melodic.
Vivian was impressed, most humans never saw it coming. "Why? Because, love, I was looking for some fun and maybe a free meal." she said with a flirty tone. His body stiffened and he turned to face her, his body thinking one thing, his mind another. She sidled up slowly, gracefully. She slipped her arms around him delicately and looked up at him under long dark lashes. "You're... hungry?" he mumbled, his eyes glazing over. "Famished." she whispered. She leaned into his neck and bit...

While the man was deciding, Raven stepped back a bit and looked outside. Its getting late, she thought to herself. The day had gone by so fast... She walked over to the back counter to prepare the man's drink. She suddenly stopped. There was that wierd, icky feeling again. It seemed far off this time, even less real than before. Her eye twitched slightly, like it did when she pulled an all-nighter. I'm just tired, that's all. She rubbed her eye with one hand, and grabbed a glass with the other.

"Alright!" said Raven, not bothering to look up from preparing his drink. When she had finished, she garnished it with a fresh stawberry and set it down on the counter. She started to turn away and then stopped a moment when she caught a glimpse of the man's eyes. She blinked once, twice, and squinted her eyes. She hadn't noticed it before, but did that man have red eyes? Not the red that she got when she hadn't slept, but the iris.... they seemed to be a deep crimson. She shook her head.... couldn't be. Surely it was a trick of the light.

The body slumped against the wall, as Vivian took a couple of steps back. She always became light headed and happy after a feed. The man moaned softly. He would be all right, just a bit of a headache when he woke up... and maybe a bit woozy too... "Possible side effects may include, but are not limited to..." Vivian murmured, chuckling at her own joke. Oh he had been tasty. She used a delicate finger to trace the line of blood trailing down her chin, and lapped it off the tip. "Waste not, want not." And with that cheery sentiment, she strolled off down the street.
A wave of cold hit her. Vivian stopped dead. There was another vampire here? So soon? She hadn't expected to run into any at all. In Romania, they stayed in covens, all nicely rolled into one, but here they were loners. Nomads. Wanderers. She had thought to make herself one of these. She turned and looked into a brightly lit shop window. The place had a cozy feel to it, which made Vivian sneer slightly. She looked over at the counter, and sure enough, a vampire was sitting, easy as you please, chatting up a human girl.
