*Important* only the Amekage, Sannin of the Village, and ANBU members know where the hidden Base is.

Rain ANBU

The ANBU is actually short for Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai. Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai; Literally meaning "Special Assassination and Tactical Squad".

Uniforms:

The ANBU wear porcelain animal masks in order to distinguish themselves from normal shinobi and to conceal their identities. They also have standard uniforms consisting of black and gray armor, arm guards, and a signature spiral tattoo on their left shoulder (female ANBU members have the tattoo located on their right shoulder to determine gender between the ANBU members). Some ANBU wear black cloaks over their standard uniforms, and squad leaders may wear white cloaks. All ANBU carry Ninjato, which are usually strapped to their backs.

Ranks:

The ANBU also have a chain of command, going from ANBU Commander to Oinin. Beginners are usually the new recruits and are of Chuunin rank. The ANBUs are only to take orders from the Commanding ninjas and they obey the Kage of the village.

Purpose of the Anbu Black Ops:

ANBU are under direct control of their Kage. They protect the village from exceptional threats, conduct high-risk missions into enemy countries, and deal with extremely strong ninja. They are also responsible for carrying out assassinations and missions requiring specially trained ninja. Some ANBU serve as interrogators that probe the minds of enemy ninja to learn information valuable to the village. If an ANBU dies during a mission they are required to destroy their bodies.

The HeadQuarters:

The headquarters of the Rain ANBU is where ANBUs come in to see the bulliten and mission list, look at the list of whos wanted, and finally the meeting room where ANbu meet up to discuss problems or in a event of chaos within the village. this HQ is hidden within the village some place only few lucky people know of.

1. Do not disobey the ANBU Commander or Amekage.

2. Do not betray your village or else

3. Never leave a man behind, no matter what

4. Always work as a team, and never let your comrads down. We're a family, sort of.
