The war between humans and vampires that has been going on for more than 200 years. Most of the humans have died. The survivors of the fall of man, are all in various resistance camps scattered around the globe. This is how humans live now. Vampires have taken over the world.
The harsh circumstances have forced humans to overcome an obstacle much greater than themselves, and when such a circumstance arises we turn to technology. In the past two hundred years most technology has remained the same with three exceptions, and they are the development of the human weapons, the F.R.E.A.K., the Regenerator, and the Crusnik.
Guns have always proved effective against vampires and are the mainstay of the human resistance.


The organization which owns and runs the top-secret underground research facility responsible for the development and creation of the vampire eradicating cybernetic battlesuit codenamed Karas. Located in Japan, though its specific location is confidential. The facility served as a shelter for top weapons and robotics specialists, as well as engineers and scientists in of all fields at the start of the war when vampires first emerged and overwhelmed the human population. Since that time, generations of such individuals have worked tirelessly on the organization's one project which shares the same name, and now is the time for the final phase of the project, the time when the weapon is actually launched. All that's needed now is a pilot....
The head of the organization has always been the most recent descendant of a certain family. The current head has been absent for some time though, yet nonetheless holds the position without question.


The newest living weapon, still experimental as it is by far the hardest to produce and there are only so few in existence at this time. The Crusnik is something to be feared by vampires for obvious reasons, but also because the weapon's existence is relatively unknown to vampires on a large scale. Rumors do spread though and it won't be long before all of vampire kind realizes what a terrifying new threat to their species the humans have developed.
...Therefore don't put ridiculous crap like "Oh, I'm an expert Crusnik killer" in your bio.
A) There aren't that many
B) Vampires don't really know for sure that Crusniks actually exist
C) Crusnik pwn vampires! Not the other way around


The chiropteran form, or the true form of the chiropteran is not set in stone. It is constantly changing and evolving as the vampire wills it. Think Naraku from Inuyasha. Always adding, removing, changing, becoming stronger, or at the very least different.
These changes don't have to be huge or permanent. They can be very small and purely situational.
Say your chiropteran form has claws, but right now you don't want your prey to hear click click click.... as you approach. So you retract them. They're still there if you need them, just not so predominant as to make a lot of noise whilst moving around.
Say you're in closed quarters and you no longer have room to move while your wings are jutting out. Tear them off or 'ungrow' them.
You can always grow and ungrow things like that as needed, but it takes time to do so. You can't just instantly sprout wings, but if you need them, you can take the time to grow a pair (xD pun not intended!!).
Bigger things like...spear-like claws meant to impale your enemies which can also be shot from your fingertips cannot be grown and ungrown as the situation demands. Those are things you need to find a nice quiet place to hide for a few days as you undergo a ghoulish transformation to add or remove such things.
