I know I've only been a member for only a week, but there is nothing happening in the forum. This guild has nothing exciting happening. LIke no meetings in towns, or any contests. This guild is kinda lacking in every department. I think we should bann people who are not cooperating with the guild or not participating in anything. I just wanted to get that out there. And I've seen posts that haven't been responded to for months. People we need to be a good guild and do STUFF!!!

♥ | I thank you for your participation in and concern about the guild. Enthusiastic new members are always nice to see. 3nodding
However, there are a few problems I see with your suggestions. For one, as much as I would love to have enough time to be here twenty-four seven talking and participating with the members of this guild, I am not capable of doing so. Currently, on top of my usually filled schedule, my computer has a virus that won't be resolved until I get a Windows XP Home Edition I am able to validate as legitimate -- that might take a while. Actually, if I had one wish for this guild, it would be that there would be more participation from other members while I'm not here -- because I can read the posts and assure that no one is breaking the rules, but I can't respond to every single post that is posted (I'm too busy).
Second, though I understand that you mean well, this is an Inuyasha guild that is to be used for talking about Inuyasha and anything else that might interest Inuyasha fans. If you try to throw in contests and other games for people to participate in, not only will someone have to come up with a "prize" for each, it also takes away something from the guild which is inherently an Inuyasha guild. The same for the thought of banning people for not posting -- this being an Inuyasha fan guild, we wouldn't get enough acceptable join requests to make up for the users we lose, anyway.
On the other hand, I have nothing wrong with it if you want to organize meetings between users in Towns. Gaia is a great site, and I won't stop my members from enjoying its features outside of the guild together. I simply do not want "gold" contests, "tektek" contests, or anything of the such in my guild unless there is idea for a contest or relating to Inuyasha that you simply cannot let go. Just make sure you do things of all such in the proper sub-forum (Chatter in a Box). | ♥

Ok. I understand. And even if you can't attend some of the days you should at least have someone to look after the guild in your absence like one of your crew. And I think I will start an event . I have a lot of items so I can give back to the guild and thank you for understanding.

♥ | It's no problem. I try to take into consideration what my members want out of the guild while trying to keep a standard -- it keeps the guild unpolluted unlike many other Inuyasha guilds out there.
About the other crew -- I'm really the only active one here. SugarRos was the original creator of the guild, but she became unable to participate due to her full-time job and overall real-life and passed it onto me; turtlequeen2 is in college and has at least five other forums to look after on three different sites and completely neglects to sign onto Gaia at all, let alone this guild; and I had other crew, but they have all mysteriously disappeared on me over time (if it weren't for the fact that Sugar-chan created the guild and I keep in contact with turtle-chan, I would have demoted them both). I'd like to promote more crew members based on participation, but as you've pointed out, that's rather scarce here. sweatdrop
I try my best to prioritize this place considering that I'm the only moderator here, but it's tough when you're alone and you have your own life to live and other forums that you're loyal to as well. It's practically the best I can do to come back every day to check for new join requests and posts and write myself a reminder to participate. confused | ♥

I think if you just get some new people to recruit and freshen up the forums, you could get back up and hopping pretty fast!

♥ | Honestly, I have thought the same thing, but good help is easier to ask for than to find. I would like to recruit some older members of the guild, but unfortunately either none of them have posted in months or none of them have any posts with enough substance for me to consider them as guild crew material.
If anyone would like to talk to me about potential crewman-ship, though, see if you can catch me on Gaia IM. I will consider some sporadic interviews because I could use to post a "HELP WANTED" sign. ninja | ♥

Well, I may be a new guild leader but I'd be happy to help! Maybe get some of my own members to join and post? I don't know how good their grammar is however... sweatdrop

♥ | Thanks! I'm glad to see people are willing to help me out. I'm really looking for people who can devote a good bit of time into making lists and categorizing information for the HELP sub-forum rather than post and invite members (although we need that, too). The entire idea of this guild originally stemmed from the idea of helping people improve their fan-fiction writings...unfortunately, the HELP forum project ended up taking so much time to organize that SugarRos, turtlequeen2, and I never managed to get it off the ground. I would like to see what I can do about that instead of allowing to to further sink into a hole of disappointment. stare | ♥

Well, at the moment, I'm rather ill with the dreaded swine flu... So if you need me to do anything, let me know!
