Hello. This isn't necessarily a thread to make promotions on a specific medium but I thought that we could all share to each other something new. I don't mean new as in unique, since that would apply to Damien Hirst and personally I find him to be a disgrace in the art community. I mean as in, dollfies (which I myself am into) and gun furniture or, as I've seen recently, octopus jewelry. What have the rest of you seen that qualifies as both unusual and artistic?

Dollfies are not art they are demons attempting to steal my souls.
I'm not sure how much I can add the discussion of "different" art seeing as art is kind of a matter of opinion. But I will surely post any pictures or anything that I see of unusual art here.
Again. Dollfies are demons and monsters and possessed little devil creations that are out to kill me and eat my soul to trap it deep within their prison like bellies to be digested for thousands of years much like the sarlacc pit in Star Wars.

I happily own about five of them but okay, thanks for the "enlightening" disagreement as to their classification, I guess.

ze proffezionalle I happily own about five of them but okay, thanks for the "enlightening" disagreement as to their classification, I guess. Look, I respect that you and anyone likes them. I just... I do NOT like dolls. Dolls are a no-no in my book.

ProphitAngell Look, I respect that you and anyone likes them. I just... I do NOT like dolls. Dolls are a no-no in my book. Yes, I can understand that but there was no need to demonize. "I do NOT like dolls" would have sufficed by itself. That's all.

I Googled dollfies and got this.
Kind of creepy.
I'll be sure to post some unusual art if I come across some.

Ah Ive seen way creepier stuff on deviant art than that, stop whining! Personally I wouldn't classify that as art, but then, art is a case of "each to his own"
And on that note, we get it ProphitAngell, you hate Dolfies, you have made that abundantly clear, now leave it at that.
Ze Professionalle, We get it, you love Dolfies, don't be let his vivid description of his distaste antagonize you.
I don't want fights to start breaking out over art, there are enough reasons to fight in this world as it is.

I hadn't intended to let it go any further anyway, but I apologize. I'll kick it down.
Lately I saw a mural made of recycled cell phones. I'm trying to find a picture of it. I think it's in New York City or someplace fancy.
(Also, just to clear things up: when I mentioned the ball-jointed dolls, I had indicated their craft as an art, not the decoration. My apologies for the vagueness.)

Didn't mean to be such an arse about it, just sort of... how I am. As for odd art does this count?

I can only wonder how in the world the artist did that (well, aside from possible welding), and where it stands now.. Very nice way to craft a dinosaur! Omnipotent Uncertainties Its ok guys, I don't mean to be such a.....what would you call it? Busy body? but its my job ><. Thanks for cooperating, both of you. It's understandable, so don't worry. : ) You're welcome.

Hmmm....I can't seem to view that file sad Ill have to take your word for it that a gigantic metal dinosaur is pretty "different" in terms of sculpture.

Well, something as large and extravagant as this, yes. I can't get over my amusement at how this all seems to be taking place in a pseudo-suburban neighborhood.. razz

I'll get pictures for this- hopefully.
A form of different art my friend does is she finds weird things to house fish in- and calls it art.
She has a Betta living in a coffee pot, and will soon have one in a blender and a gumball machine.
(The coffee pot doesn't work)
