We're trying to be friends with the Russians again!
U.S., Russia Agree to Persue Nuclear Reduction
Obama Asks Russians to Partner with U.S.
I was really excited about this because I have a big thing for Russians, and so this morning I turned on CNN to find out some more about it, and it was ******** Micheal Jackson s**t. STILL. I'm so over it, I swear to god. When they stop caring about what's happening in Iran to cover some dead guy for a month... it really upsets me. And Nuclear Arms Reduction is way more important than four hours of obnoxious celebrities singing.

I know right? Why does anyone care about the fact that a ***** who dangled his own infant child out a window is dead. I know I don't give a s**t.

I was more upset of Billy Mays dying, seing as he's contributed more to society and was pretty badass (watch Pitchmen if it's still showing. )
Anywho, yay! I like Russians, too. I've always had a thing for their hats. xd

I was over the Michael Jackson thing about ten minutes after it happened. I wish they'd focus on some real news for once.

"What Michael Jackson thing"-- oh you're so witty. *eye roll* DREAMS OF DOOM HELP GAMERS LEARN http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn18082-dreams-of-doom-help-gamers-learn.html On the second night, nearly everyone dreamed about Doom and about half dreamed about the laboratory. However, when the researchers compared players' performance before and after sleeping, only Doom-related dreaming was correlated with improvement at the game.
The researchers scored performance by analysing video recordings of the game and noting the number of player deaths, enemies killed, secret passages discovered, shooting accuracy and five other measures.
They found that the more Doom-dreaming a player did, the more likely he or she was to improve on these measures – but only up to a point. Volunteers who dreamed most about Doom didn't see the biggest gains.
"If you're too obsessed about something, you're dreaming about blood and monsters, you can't do well," says Ribeiro, who presented the work at the Society for Neuroscience meeting in Chicago earlier this month.

Car crash victim trapped in 'coma' for 23 years was conscious. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/nov/23/man-trapped-coma-23-years
Houben is being cared for at a facility near Brussels and now communicates via a computer with a special keyboard activated with his right hand, which is capable of minimal movement. He said his body was paralysed when he came round after his accident. Although he could hear every word his doctors spoke, he could not communicate with them.
"I screamed, but there was nothing to hear," he said, via his keyboard.
Houben then suffered years of being effectively trapped in his own body as care personnel and doctors at the hospital in Zolder tried to communicate with him, but eventually gave up hope that he would ever come round. Oh my GOD.

The American Diet: 34 Gigabytes a Day
http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/12/09/the-american-diet-34-gigabytes-a-day/?src=tptw
I’ll be honest: this is the first time I’ve ever used the word zettabyte. I’ve heard of petabytes and even exabytes, but zettabytes are a whole new level of bytes. If a zettabyte is beyond your comprehension, too, it’s essentially one billion trillion bytes: a 1 with 21 zeros at the end. To put that into perspective, one exabyte — which equals 1/1000 of a zettabyte or 1 billion gigabytes — is roughly equivalent to the capacity of 5.1 million computer hard drives, or all the hard drives in Minnesota.

WWII Pacifists Exposed Mental Ward Horrorshttp://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=122017757&sc=fb&cc=fpThe "incontinent ward" was what the men called A Building. It was a large open room with a concrete slab for a floor. There were no chairs. There were no activities, no therapy, not even a radio to listen to. So hundreds of men — most of them naked — walked about aimlessly or hunched on the floor and huddled against the filthy bare walls.
Nearby was B Building; it was called the "violent ward" or the "death house," because angry men sometimes violently attacked one another. In one room, rows and rows of men were strapped and shackled to their bed frames.
