This is the back half of the Quincy Temple. With a tree in one corner, its essentially a long courtyard, separated into two sections. The first is under the awning, taking a quarter of the space. Within it are dummies to practice close hand attacks. The second area is an archery range, which is bisected into close and long range. There are bows and arrows given to those who wish to practice with these rather than their Quincy bow. There are dummies and targets ready upon your request. Further underground is a secret chamber specifically made to teach the different magics and other things that would be problematic above ground. The only way into the training ground is through a door in the main house, which only responds to the spirit energy of a Quincy. One shouldn't worry, though, the whole compound(living quarters and training area) is covered so no excess spirit pressure can be read from within, keeping the occupants safe from harms way.

Andrew stepped out into the training area that was his backyard. At one point, it was a lush and lavish garden with a koi pond, but there were more important things that needed to be done with it. Sure, he had a Koi pond in the very back, which led to the larger part on the other side of the double wall, but that was something for another time. Andrew stood out in the shooting range holding the case that held the Sanrei Glove for Tetra to use. Now was the time.

Whoa-O, I've been banging my head against the Wall...Tetra stepped onto the training grounds, careful not to bounce too much. She did need all her concentration and energy to do this. She was just too excited for being allowed to finally get on with it. She walked over to Andrew and, sounding quite pleased, said, “I am ready!” It was amazing how her hyper tendencies did not really change over the years; she just got a little more foresight on how to use them. In this case, saving them for when she needed them. Whoa-O, For so long it seems I knocked it down, Yeah it got knocked down...

"Ok then. Lets get started then." With the smile on his face turning to a much more stern look, Andrew extended his left arm out to the side. With a snap of his fingers, the blue spirit energy flowed from his cross and over his body like a radar screen. As the energy passed, his clothes transformed into his Quincy uniform. After Tetra fully received her glove she would be able to do the same trick. After the wardrobe change was complete, he moved his hand out in front of himself and gave another snap. This time, a blue symbol in the shape of his cross appeared on the ground, to then slide back, the ground opening up into an underground bunker. After the door stopped, Andrew began to descend down into it.

Whoa-O, I've been banging my head against the Wall...Tetra watched Andrew with a smile as he got into his outfit. Big brother knew all the neat tricks. The door opened and Tetra looked down it, leaning a little to look inside. Andrew just started walking down, so she followed, ready to get started whenever she was told she could. Whoa-O, For so long it seems I knocked it down, Yeah it got knocked down...

Down in the underground bunker, there wasn't much to see. There were lights strew across the high ceiling which flicked on as they reached the bottom. The whole room was made from Synth Silver, acting as a shield against scrying for energy. The room was ginormous, at least the size of the house and the backyard, and about five stories under it, four up to the ceiling. Normally, there would be a course of sorts set up in here, but that would not be needed for today. Walking in some way into the room, he stopped and turned to Tetra, waiting for her to arrive. Once there, he would begin.
"Today, we will be starting your training with the Sanrei Glove." Andrew held up the attache case he was holding. "This glove is a powerful tool of the Quincy that has remarkable properties, but can have deadly consequences." Flipping the two locks up, Andrew opened the case, showing the white and blue glove resting in the maroon, velvet plush. "Once the glove is placed on your hand, you must master it. Failure to do so may result in loosing your powers all together. The glove will create a bow for you and hinder your allocation of spirit particles to form arrows. Though it is harder, the arrows made will be much more lethal. Once worn, the glove is not removable without great cost. Though it lets loose all your energy for you to use, you will loose your abilities all together." Taking in a breath and exhaling slowly, he motioned the box closer to Tetra. "When you are ready, don the glove."

Whoa-O, I've been banging my head against the Wall...She followed and looked about when they reached the bottom. The room was big, and it looked like you could run forever to get to the other end. Well, that was exaggerating, but still. She didn’t have a whole lot of time to look, since she had to pay very close attention to Andrew. She nodded solemnly when Andrew finished, understanding completely. She felt that she could do it though, and what’s more, Big Brother thought so too. He wouldn’t have said yes otherwise. She simply removed her cross from her wrist and lengthened the chain slightly. With a quick motion she slipped the chain about her hat, the cross hanging just to the side of her hat’s brim. That done she smiled at Andrew and picked up the glove gingerly and after a pause, put it on. Whoa-O, For so long it seems I knocked it down, Yeah it got knocked down...

Andrew closed the case and stepped around behind Tetra. "Now you must begin. You will create an arrow and fire it. You will then repeat that again and again for three days time." Andrew would remain there by her side as he did for Yosuke and his master did for him. "You will not sleep, you will stop only for water and bread. This is not only a test of skill, but a test of endurance, pushing your body to it's absolute limit. You begin now." That last word was emphasized and much sharper than Andrew's normal speech. If there was any possibly way that one could come to hate him, it would be from doing extreme training with him. Meticulous was his favourite word, and Mr. Detail wasn't his nickname for nothing.

Whoa-O, I've been banging my head against the Wall...Tetra listened to his instructions and noted them in her head. She made double sure to keep her eyes on the goal, so that she didn’t get frustrated or distracted. Two of her worst traits. She looked forward and the moment that Andrew said “Now” her bow spread its wings. She formed the first arrow and could feel the difference immediately. Still it was certainly not impossible to make her arrows and stretch them back to let them go. She let loose the first arrow, and watched it as it flew. Then she started on her next one. At this point she was really only thinking about her arrows, and not really anything else. It was actually very relaxing in a strange way. Like a metronome. Each firing of the arrow was a ‘swish’ noise that was relaxing, spaced just like the others before and after them. Whoa-O, For so long it seems I knocked it down, Yeah it got knocked down...

Whoa-O, I've been banging my head against the Wall...Tetra’s eyes were slightly glazed over. She saw the arrows as they flew before her, but she was not paying attention to it at all at this point. Her focus was on the feel of what she was doing. The particles around her were a little harder to get into an arrow, and she pushed the same way every time to get them into arrow form. It could not be said how much time had passed, but she tried not to think about this fact. She just listened as the arrows flew. Whoa-O, For so long it seems I knocked it down, Yeah it got knocked down...

Whoa-O, I've been banging my head against the Wall...There was a very special sort of boredom that Tetra had found herself too. It wasn’t the boredom of not doing something; that was at least normal. This was a boredom of doing something while having a good attitude about it. It was not exactly negative but it was like listening to a favorite song for a day. Everything you love about it dulled after a time, making you want some space. Then you would not listen to it for a year and a half so that when you did listen to it, it was fresh and you fall in love with it all over again. What’s worse that with the boredom was the desire to sleep. It was certainly not aided by the metronome of the arrows going by. The soothing tick tock of a clock had a similar effect on her, and that was doubly painful. Bored, sleepy and tired were going to be her three enemies today and she could hardly think about how to combat them. She certainly couldn’t shoot them. Could she? She imagined a target in front of her with her little enemies written on it and shot them. “Pew…pew…pew.” She smiled a little bit on this and felt a little better about this, getting a little more energized. Whoa-O, For so long it seems I knocked it down, Yeah it got knocked down...

Whoa-O, I've been banging my head against the Wall...Tetra realized that she was really bad at telling time without a clock. She was in fact, impossibly bad. She could, of course, tell that time had been passing, but at what rate, she could not say. Each moment coming had a hundred behind that felt exactly the same so they kinda melted together in a strange haze that was hard to shake. The metronome of her arrows was slowing somewhat, and her face was completely neutral. ‘Tick, tock goes the clock. And the clock goes tick tock. Tick, tock goes the clock…’ She had been thinking up this little singsong rhyme for a while now, and it wasn’t something that was going to get out of her head anytime soon. It was impossible to say why she had thought it up, but it kept her busy. Her hand was moving on its own and the arrows flew without her paying so much attention. She had to keep going. Whoa-O, For so long it seems I knocked it down, Yeah it got knocked down...

Andrew took in a deeper breath than the others he had been taking. It had almost been three days since they started this, meaning it wouldn't be too much longer till Tetra was done. The presupplied food was just about gone, but she would receive a much better meal once she was finished. Pulling up his sleeve, Andrew looked at the watch on his wrist. There were only a few hours left, and Tetra was beginning to show that she was just about ready to collapse.
As the last hours passed their mark, Andrew slowly moved over to Tetra. There, he placed his hand on her right shoulder and moved her left arm down. "You're training is done, Tetra. You have succeeded." From what he had seen, she seemed to phase out a bit, hopefully it wouldn't effect her too much. "You can rest now.

Whoa-O, I've been banging my head against the Wall...Tetra was really out of it by the end. Which made it very surprising when she felt someone touch her shoulder. If she had a little more energy she would have jumped up a couple feet. As it was as just turned around as quick as she could manage, falling over on her back in the process. She looked up at Andrew and remembered that, yes, he had been here. She listened to him for a moment then leaned her head back, closed her eyes and mumbled, “Night, Big Brother.” It felt really good to lie down. It took only a minute, and she floated away to the land of dreams. Sleep was nice. Whoa-O, For so long it seems I knocked it down, Yeah it got knocked down...

Andrew quickly moved around to catch Tetra. That way she fell into his arms rather than the ground. Hearing the mumble, Andrew's stoic appearance melted away into a warm grin. "Sleep tight, little sister," he whispered back, standing up. Andrew then carried Tetra up the stairs and to the outside. Her task was done, it was time to rest and recuperate. Reentering the house, the chamber closed, his outfit changed back to normal. Inside, he set her down, removed her shoes and hat, and tucked her into bed, closing the door as he left. Now, he returned to his room to finish up the blueprint, seeing as he had three less days to complete it.
