Personality: Yomiko is very imaginative, her mind knows no boundaries. She often is portrayed as clueless, but that is not her nature. She sticks to her principles when it comes to combat and showmanship. She is one to ball up her feelings, not letting anyone know how she really feels about something until the time is right. Yomiko doesn't like fighting, but if she is required to, she will. Trust me, she will after she tries to negotiate with you, peacefully. She is open-minded, smart, lazy, and in dire situations she still maintains her gangsta despite whatever is happening. Though, she really isn't willing to do much for anyone else, she is often seen doing anything for those who are close to her, such as Fuyu and Amie. [As a grandmother, she'd do anything for Amie. XDDD] Yomiko is very skilled in Zanjutsu, Hakuda, and Kido. She can perform high kido techniques without chanting the incantations required to do so. In the sleeves of her 'shirt' she has a multitude of throwing knives.

Physical Description: Yomiko Shihouin is 5'6". She has dark brown skin and piercing golden eyes. Formerly, back in her Vice Captain and Vizard days, her hair was a dark violet color, just like her ancestor, Yoruichi Shihouin but due to events she dyed it a rich dark sienna color. Her hair falls down her back and almost reaches her 'backside'. Yomiko has a curvy and fit body that is rarely seen because of some of the baggy clothes she wears. She usually wears her hair down, and on rare occasions she ties it in a ponytail. On her shoulder, there is a tattoo with the Kanji 'Hope'.

Her Shinigami Uniform isn't like the others. She doesn't wear the Kosode but like other shinigami she does wear the Hakama pants. Replacing the Kosode, she sometimes could be found wearing a dark hoodie or even a regular jacket with a matching tank top. Or, depending on her mood, she might just wear something casual, such as a T-Shirt and some jeans or something. It's not often that she is found wearing her Captain's Haori. The woman wears her Zanpaku-to on her back, in a similar fashion like Hitsugaya. Now, Yomiko wears fingerless gloves that resemble the ones that Kaname Tosen wore when he was in the Soul Society.

Zanpakuto Name and Sealed Description: Persephone - Persephone is a long Odachi reigning 67 inches long in length. Because of the length, Yomiko usually doesn't carry her sword around with her. If she does, she usually carries the sword is carried on her back or shoulder via a brown strap. The sheath of Persephone is obsidian with the Kanji 'Hell' inscribed largely near the guard of the sword. The guard of the sword is in a rectangular form, with for small bells attached to the ends. The Hilt is wrapped in a long red, tattered cloth that feels like the material from a female Shino-Reijutsuin uniform.

Zanpaku-to Sword Type: Odachi
Zanpaku-to Element: Fire

Shikai: 'Prossimo a me... La dea di inferno...Persephone.' (Come To Me, The Goddess of Hell... Persephone..)
The Zanpaku-to's default form of a Odachi Sword turns into a long Ivory whip with purplish-black flames flaring at the end.
- 'Fiamma nera a mezzaluna...' (Crescent Black Flame)
The Crescent Black Flame allows the weilder to shoot a crescent like attack of black flames towards the weilders opponent from the flaming end of the whip.
- 'Mille pugnali neri della fiamma..' (Thousand Black Flame Daggers...)
In a similar manner of the Crescent Black Flame, the whip releases a black flame attack. The black flame appears as so, but it soon materializes into a multitude of dark daggers.
- Una frusta di fuoco… e una catena della frode… ROTTURA... (A whip of fire... and a chain of deceit... BREAK)
The Initial Whip turns into a Chain Whip. It consists of several metal rods, which are joined end-to-end by rings to form a flexible chain. Generally, the whip has a handle at one end and a metal dart, used for slashing or piercing an opponent, at the other. A cloth flag is often attached at or near the dart end of the whip, and a second flag may cover the whip's handle. The flag or flags enhance a wushu performance by adding visual appeal, and by producing a rushing sound as the whip swings through the air. They also help stabilize the whip, enhancing the performer's control. This reduces the performer's risk of inadvertently striking himself/herself.

The Cloth flag at the end of the Chain Whip ignites in a black flame, allowing it to be shot out at the opponent.

The Chain Whip turned into Two Chain Whips. You can still use the Coda del fuoco attack with it.

Bankai:'Liberi le fiamme di inferno... Persephone' (Release The Flames of Hell.. Persephone...)
The whole area within a radius of Yomiko becomes a barren wasteland. The Earth starts to shake and created large cracks through the ground, allowing hot multing lava to shoot out to the surface. The whip transforms into a a scythe that has blades at both of the ends. The weapon was pull apart into three sections that are connected by a metal chain.

-'Inferni che fiammeggiano fiore...' (Hell's Flaming Blossom)
This attack allows the user to conjour up small little spots of black flames on the battle field. By each minute, the flames grow larger and larger until the wielder deems it necessary to stop the flames. This attack lets the weilder control the black flames and attack the opponent when necessary. xD
-'Gloria a mezzaluna più scura...' (Darker Crescent Glory)
This Attack, well, you might as well call it a larger version of the Crescent Black Flame. Only this time, the daggers are more sharper and deadlier. This attack can only be used if the weilder uses the sctyhe.
-'Onda di paralisi dell'inferno...' (Paralyzing Hell Wave)

This attack allows the wielder to create a barrier of hot, molten rock. =_=

Kidou:
Bakudo:

1. Restrain (塞, sai)— Locks a target's arms in place behind their back.
4. Crawling Rope (這縄, hainawa) — An energy rope entangles a target's arms.
9. Strike (撃,Geki) — Engulfs a target in red light, completely paralyzing them.
12. Fushibi: A net formed from an attachment point on the caster, can be small or large depending ong the reiatsu force behind it.
37. Suspending Star (吊星, tsuriboshi) - Creates a star-shaped cushion of Spiritual Energy, which anchors it to nearby objects with "ropes" of spirit particles. It can stop falling objects, acting like a safety net.[6]
58. Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows (摑趾追雀, kakushitsuijaku) — Tracks and locates any spiritual force the user focuses on.
61. Six Rods Prison of Light (六杖光牢, rikujōkōrō) — Summons six thin, but wide, beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place.
62. Hundred Stepped Rails (百歩欄干, hyapporankan?) — A rod formed of energy is thrown towards the target before it disintegrates into numerous short rods which are used to pin the target to the surroundings and render them immobile.
63. Chainlike Desert (Sajo Sabaku)— The target is wrapped from the neck down in a thick chain.
75. Quintet of 1 kan Iron Pillars (五柱鉄貫, gochūtekkan) — Forms a cage made of five incredibly high and thick pillars around a target.
77. Heavenly Rickshaws in Silken Air (天挺空羅, tenteikūra) — Transmits messages to anyone within Soul Society.
81. Splitting Void (斷空, danku) — Creates an energy barrier in the form of a rectangular wall.

Hado:

1. Thrust (衝, shō) — Pushes the target away from the caster.
4. White Lightning (白雷, byakurai) — Fires a concentrated bolt of lighting from the caster's forefinger.
11. Tsuzuri Raiden: Imbues and object with an electrical current. The technique was used by Hisagi Shuuhei, by allowing the kidou to travel up the chain of his zanpakutou, Shinikaze.
31. Shot of Red Fire (赤火砲, shakkahō) — Fires a ball of red energy at a target.
33. Blue Fire, Crash Down (蒼火墜, sōkatsui) — Fires a burst of blue spiritual energy at a target in a similar manner to 31, but over a wider area and with more power.
54. Waste Flame (廃炎, haien)— Incinerates a target completely.
58. Orchid Sky (闐嵐, tenran) - A widening tornado-like blast is fired towards the target.
63. Thunder Roar Cannon (雷吼炮, raikōhō) — Fires a massive wave of yellow energy at a target.
73. Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down (双蓮蒼火墜, sōren sōkatsui) — Essentially a doubled version of #33, this spell fires two shots of blue fire with greater potency than the single-shot variety.
88. Flying Dragon Striking, Heaven-Shaking, Lightning Cannon (飛竜撃賊震天雷砲, hiryūgeki zoku shinten raihō?)— Fires a massive blast of spiritual energy in a fashion similar to a laser.

Other:

Kyōmon: It creates a glass-like barrier which is difficult to break from the outside, but quite simple to break from the inside.
Hanki: This technique nullifies an opponent's movement by hitting them with an perfectly opposite surge of energy.
White Crawl (白伏, hakufuku): A Kido Spell that allows it's caster to destroy everything within a certain radius of him/her.
Shunkō[瞬閧, Flash Cry]: A technique that combines hand-to-hand combat and kidō. It concentrates high-pressure kidō energy around the body, allowing it to be fired at opponents. It can also be used to instantly neutralize an opponent's movement.
Senka [闪花, Flash Blossom]: a flash step combined with a spin to quickly move behind the enemy, followed by a strike aimed to destroy the saketsu chain and the hakusui soul sleep with a combination of two quick thrusts.
Utsusemi [空蝉, cicada]: Allows a person to move out of harms way by creating another image of themselves.

Enhanced Endurance: =.=
Immense Spiritual Power: Yomiko is able to boast a lot of reitsu from herself.
Kidō Expert: As former Captain of the 2nd Division and the Commander-in-Chief of the Onmitsukidō, Yomiko is well-versed in a mastery of Kidō... like her best friend, Fuyu Arashi, former leader of the Kidou Corps.
Enhanced Strength: Despite her appearance, Yomiko is quite strong.
Master Assassin: As the former Commander-in-Chief of the Onmitsukidō, Yomiko is one of the foremost masters of the art of assassination.
Master Strategist: As the former head of her clan and ex-commander of the Onmitsukidou, Yomiko has shown herself to be a capable leader even though most of her antics show her as a bit 'off'.
Odachi Mastery: It is widely known that the Odachi is a long sword that was used for ceremonial offerings and the like. Because of the size of the sword, it proved to be a feat for someone who wanted to wield it. Yomiko is able to wield the heavy sword as if she were able to wield a normal Katana.
Shunpo Master: Considered to be the most proficient Hohō master ever in all of the Soul Society, Yomiko is highly skilled in the use of flash steps, a high speed movement ability.
Zanjustu: Yomiko is very talented in Zanjutsu. This is a bit of a sample of her Sword Play style. [X-Yomiko's style is Flying Snow's Style (The Female)-X]
Hakudou: Her Hakudou style is the Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Style [Made famous my it's originator, Bruce Lee.]
Kidou: She has a mastery of most Kidou techniques. She can perform high level techniques without the chants.
Physiognomy: At the time when she was an unseated member of the 13th Squad, her Captain took it upon her to teach her Physiognomy and Kinesics. Physiognomy is a skill that can effectively identify and analyze the features of the face that characterize a person’s personality traits.
Kinesics: This is the other technique that her Captain taught her. Kinesics is the reading of someone's body language. This includes movements, gestures, expressions and posture; all that convey something about personality.

Sonído (響転(ソニード), Sonīdo; Spanish for "sound") is the Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami Flash Steps and the Quincy Hirenkyaku; it allows the user to travel at incredibly high speeds for short distances. Use of Sonído is punctuated by a brief static sound, in contrast to the "swish" sound caused by Flash Steps.
Garganta (黒腔(ガルガンタ), garuganta; Spanish for "throat") It literally tears open the dimensional fabric separating the worlds, revealing a tunnel of whirling, torrential energy that must be focused and solidified to create a discernible pathway.
Cero: are high-powered energy blasts that can be fired from various body parts, such as mouth, tongue, hand or fingers.
Bala: (虚弾(バラ), bara; Spanish for "bullet", also translated as "Hollow Bullet") The technique hardens the user's Spiritual Pressure and fires it like a bullet from their fist. It is seriously weaker than a normal cero, it moves about twenty times faster and can be fired at a much higher rate, but the damage is much the same.

Hierro: (鋼皮(イエロ), Hiero; Spanish for "iron") refers to the hardened skin of the Arrancar, which is a result of their compressed spiritual power. While their skin is strong enough to block even released Zanpakutou bare-handed, it is by no means impenetrable. Stronger Arrancar have proportionally stronger skin.
Negación: (反膜(ネガシオン), Spanish for "negation") fields are used to rescue fellow hollows. Only the Gillian-class Menos have shown the ability to use it. Negación fields surround a target in a square beam of light that isolates the target from the dimension they are currently in, making it impossible to harm them.
Pesquisa: (探査回路(ペスキス), Pesukisa; Spanish for "inquiry") is the Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami ability to sense Spiritual Pressure. It functions similar to sonar.
Gran Rey Cero (王虚の閃光, (グラン・レイ・セロ), Guran Rei Sero; Japanese for "royal hollow flash", Spanish for "Grand King Zero") is a much higher-level Cero used by the Espada. It is performed by mixing an Arrancar's own blood with the Cero.



Bio: Yomiko Shihouin was born into the Royal Family, Shihouin. She had two brothers, one that was younger and another that was older. Out of her two brothers, she was the only one that wasn't adopted. Her mother was banished from the Shihouin family after Yomiko became sick when she was very small. It was unknown at that time that the sickness that she had would plague her for the rest of her life would have such a strong impact on her physically and mentally. Once her mother was banished, her father disowned Yomiko and wanted her to be killed. At this time, she was a small child and before her father could do anything her grandfather stepped in and opted to raise Yomiko; much to her fathers' displeasure...


When her grandfather took her in, she was very young. At the age she was, she was barely able to speak. He raised her from then, teaching her things that will stay with her for a lifetime. As she was being took in by her grandfather, her father wanted little do with her. He just ignored her like she was nothing and her eldest brother was constantly belittling her. When she became sick again, her grandfather began to shelter her more than she should've been. She grew up sheltered by the Royal Family, not able to do anything until she was enrolled into the Shinigami Academy. She was enrolled in low-level classes by her grandfather, who didn't want to stress her body. At the time, she did not pay any attention to this, since she understood that her primary care-giver was trying to take care of her. When she was at the academy, she soon learned that being a Shihouin in a class full of commoners and such was not good. Because of this, no one [the students] didn't want to have nothing to do with her. This lead her academy years to be lonesome until she met Fuyu Arashi and another girl, by the name of Michiko, that wasn't afraid to speak to her or anything. As expected, these three became fast friends despite their differences in status. For a time, this made Yomiko happy...

Chaotic events followed her as she entered her last year at the academy. The year before, her youngest brother was murdered by her eldest brother, out of a fit of jealously. She witnessed the whole thing, not able to do anything about it since she was under her sick spells. The murder still reeled through her mind after wards, causing her to feel guilty about the whole thing. Her older brother, on the other hand, did not get in trouble for the whole thing, but instead he claimed that an 'assassin' had came to attack Yomiko and her brother. They all listened, but only Yomiko and her Grandfather knew the truth but remained silent. Months later, after this incident had happened, her older brother still taunted her with his rude names and such. He looked down on her constantly, the main reason was because of her unorthodox ways of being a 'noblewoman', such as befriending a commoner and other factors.

So one day, close to her graduation from the Shinigami Academy, something unexpected happened. While her and her friend visited one of the districts in the Rukongai, the two were ambushed... by her older brother and some of his friends. That's when they were attacked by the group. Though her friend was strong, her friend tried her best to protect Yomiko at all costs. With a stab to the heart and neck by two of the attackers (at the same time, I might add), her friend was killed. To remember her friend, at that time, Yomiko ripped the cloth from the girls' Hakama pant and wrapped it around the hilt of her Zanpaku-to...

Again, he got away with this as well... selling the family with the same BS
story that he fed them when he killed their own sibling...

Sick of the killing and the chaos that her brother has put her through, on the day of her Graduation, Yomiko decided to confront her older brother about the deeds the family had let him get away with. She thought if they wouldn't do anything about it, she will...

Her brother welcomed the challenged with open arms... not knowing that would be his last time ever being able to be the 'tryant' to her. Though it was a rough battle, Yomiko killed him. She didn't bother hiding his body or anything of the sort, she just left it there and waited beside it until someone came for them. Once someone came, the guard escorted Yomiko to the 'council' of the Shihouin Family. [Her grandfather was on this council as well.] Staring at her long and hard, they decided her fate. At the time, since her grandfather was on the council, she thought she was going to get away with the murder with a small punishment, but alas she was wrong. She was banished from the Shihouin Royal Family, by her Grandfather (Who SUGGESTED the banishing). Feeling betrayed, she left the Shihouin without a word...

Though she graduated from the Shinigami Academy and was admitted into the 13th Division, she decided not to go into the Gotei 13 at that time. Yomiko had a strong feeling that the Shihouin Family might try something... especially with their influence within the Soul Society... So she resorted in 'staying' in the Rukongai for a while.

Her days in the Rukon District Kusajishi were rough and harsh. She had no means for food or shelter. The girl resorted on living on the streets. Because of this hard life, Yomiko began to develop skills in thievery and such. She was breaking into people's homes and stuff... and that's when the Shihouin Family popped back into her life once again. Now, an assassin was after her and wanted her to end up being dead. The assassin caught her when she was walking on a dark night. The assassin almost killed her, until an unknown woman stepped in and saved her. Because of this woman's courage, this prompted her to go back into her rightful place in the Gotei 13's Divine Protectors Division. When she was admitted in, she tried to work around her sick spells and such. As she progressed in her training as a member of the Divine Protectors, she was one of the only few unseated members to gain her Zanpaku-to's Shikai and have a strong control on her reiatsu, which caught the eye of the 2nd Division Captain who recruited her to become his Vice.

Once Vice Captain of the 2nd Division, since she was so in-experienced, she had to learn most Kidou's that someone of her level should know. This prompted her to learn more Kidou, which would explain why she was so talented into that area. She also had to brush up on her Zanjutsu and Hakudou as well. When it came to her last name, she often set her subordinates straight by not allowing them to even address her by her last name or even bow to her, which she still does now. This is because she is not of the Shihouin Clan anymore, despite her last name. Well, as she trained and proved herself to the Captain, her Captain eventually trained her into learning Shunko, which she really doesn't have a full mastering of the technique. Soon, her days of being the Vice of the 2nd Division would soon be over which one of her sick spells caused her to leave her post as the Vice Captain of the 2nd Division...

A few months later, she came back to her post only to see that her former student had taken over the Division. This did not dishearten Yomiko, only made her happy. She was glad that one of her subordinates she taught actually became something. She met her former students in the training grounds, but the meeting was short lived when Yomiko fainted. Her student took her to the Vizard that she was allowing to stay in the squad. The Vizard healed Yomiko and for some unknown reason, out of randomness, she became his 'assistant' despite her protests. After most tests and so forth, he unwillingly turned her into a Vizard. After many 'adventures', these two actually decided to get married...

The marriage was long and quite interesting. Everything was going great until she went to seek out the training of Feiy Boelba and Drift Galewind. Her husband and Feiy were not on good terms with each other, knowing this, she went out to seek the training of the Vizard, anyway. As her time training with Feiy and Drift went on, her husband was killed during the time.

Description:
Kuro is around 5'9" in height. This shinigami is rather handsome and muscular, yet slim in body build. He has shoulder length jet black hair that is usually disheveled and messy. His eyes are a shade of deep crimson and are usually surrounded by dark circles from his lack of sleep. He wears the same black uniform kimono and hakama required by shinigami along with a long black haori with the inside being dark red. The tail of this haori is battleworn, being ripped and ragged. A white sash remains wrapped around his waist, the two ends draping down from the middle of his waist. His zanpakuto is held to the left side of his waist by the sash.

Zanpakuto Name:
Boukyaku

Zanpakuto Spirit:
Boukyaku is a large man, being 6'5" in height. He wears a large white cloak and always wears the hood over his head. This cloak hides most of his body from view. Boukyaku's skin is rather pale and grey. His eyes are pure red, glowing menacingly with a thirst for blood. He has fangs like that of a beast or vampire. His hair is shoulder length and silver in color with the tips of his hair being black. When Boukyaku's cloak has been removed it reveals a completely white business suit trimmed with crimson fabric. Two large black wings spread from his back, usually hidden by the cloak. Boukyaku usually wears a maniacal smile on his face and behaves coldly. He shares a love for battle with Kuro though he will refuse to help Kuro if he deems their opponent unworthy of fighting them. He is usually rather harsh and critical of Kuro and those around him.

Zanpakuto:
In its sealed form, the blade is a 3'0" long katana. The hilt is wrapped in braided red and black clothes with a long dark chain attached to the tip which wraps itself around the hilt and scabbard while sheathed. The zanpakuto is rather elegant in appearance but is battle worn as well. The edge is razor sharp but looks ragged. At the base of the blade is the kanji symbol for sin.

Shikai:
When Kuro releases his shikai, he whispers the phrase, "Reveal your madness, Boukyaku." As he speaks the kanji symbol for sin begins to glow red with heat and begins to spread across the length of the entire blade. A flame the bursts from the hilt and begins to coil around the zanpakuto's blade like a sinister crimson snake. Once the flame reaches the tip there is an explosion of light as the zanpakuto begins to transform. Once this transformation is complete the zanpakuto has taken the form of a giant cleaver that is about a foot in width and nearly five feet in length. The razor sharp edge of the blade curves into a sharp point. The hilt of the cleaver is wrapped in a blood red cloth. A long black chain is attached to hilt, appearing weightless as it coils through the air as if it were a snake. The flame that spirals around the blade is usually crimson though if Kuro becomes angry he will pour his reaitsu into the zanpakuto causing the flame to begin pitch black and forcing the heat of the flame to become much higher.

Shikai Abilities:
Gouka - With a slash of his blade, Kuro can release either a giant blast or a vast wave of incredibly powerful fire that is hot enough to melt most materials. Rapidly repeating this attack can easily exhaust Kuro.

Kurokaosu - This technique creates seven large fire balls around Kuro. The seven balls are fired at his opponents with the speed of bullets, Kuro being able to control all seven of them at one. Once they make contact with anything it creates a giant explosion. This technique can only be used twice while shikai is released.

Kurenaitoku - Creates a crimson shield that can block any attack as long as Kuro is able to reinforce the shield's strength with his reaitsu. This shield only protects Kuro's front, which leaves his back vulnerable while the shield is up.

Sokubaku - The chain attached to Boukyaku's hilt is able to extend to any length at Kuro's will. He is able to manipulate the chains movements, using it to bind his enemies or to use his zanpakuto with long range attacks. For this he simply throws his sword at his opponent and maneuvers it through the air with the chain.

Nentenkaimetsu - In order to perform this technique, Kuro must grasp the chain that is connected to the hilt of his zanpakuto and begin spinning the blade around rapidly above him. This causes the flames that constantly surround his blade to twist through the air, forming a tornado of fire. By pumping his reaitsu into his sword, he can cause the flame to grow larger which in turn feeds the twister causing it to grow even more powerful and bigger in size. Kuro can then choose to either let the typhoon surround him, leaving him in the center surrounded by a wall of fire, or to release the twister, allowing it to freely travel in the general direction it was released. If set free, the twister will grow larger and more powerful as it moves. It, however, can only travel around fifteen yards before dissipating. Repeated use of this attack can easily drain Kuro.

Bankai:
Kaen Akuma Boukyaku - Kuro is enveloped in a large sphere of light that suddenly bursts into flames. A large white coat slowly forms over his body and is wrapped in a long chain that is spread evenly over his torso and his black hair grows longer until it reaches the middle of his back. White bone-like armor forms on his forearms, shins, and left shoulder, burning bright red with heat. His blade becomes thinner and extends to 6' in length, now fully engulfed in flames. In this form, Kuro is hot to the touch, making it difficult for anyone to even grab onto him during battle. This form is just an advanced form of his shikai, making his flame based attacks much stronger and nearly twice as hot.

Datenshi - As Kuro releases his second form of bankai, he stabs his blade into the ground, causing a ring of black flames to encircle him. As the flames grow, two large black wings begin to form on his back, glowing black from the searing hot feathers that make up the wings. Kuro is now faster and with each beat of his wings he releases blades of flaming reaitsu that fly randomly through the air. The faster he beats his wings, the more blades that are sent flying through the air, making it dangerous for enemies to get to close to him without taking damage. Kuro's armor spreads slightly around his body, now covering larger portions of his arms and legs, as well as parts of his chest and back. Kuro gains the ability to control his flames more accurately, using his hands to direct the flames through the air in complex paths, increasing his chances of hitting his opponent.

Yakubyougami - This is Kuro's final stage of bankai. Kuro releases this form by dropping his sword to the ground, tip first, and watching as it vanishes into the ground as if falling into water. Darkness covers several feet of ground around him as flaming feathers begin to float up into the air surrounding him. The feathers fly to Kuro and form a second set of wings, giving him a total of four, allowing him to move at incredible speeds, both on foot and in the air. The armor now spreads over his body and covers greater portions of his flesh. Two zanpakuto appear beside him, and erupt into flames as he grasps them, both being 4' in length and razor thin. Kuro is able to release even greater blasts of fire and his manipulation of them is greater as well, allowing him to control multiple blasts at once. This is Kuro's most powerful form, as well as the most taxing. The longer he is in this form, the more strain the large amount of reaitsu used to release it is forced onto his body. If left in this form for too long, Kuro's body would slowly begin to tear apart. If he uses this form too often it will cause his body to begin to degenerate.

Bankai Techniques

Seal of Despair - When released, Kuro is able to create a giant blast of crimson fire that takes the form of a dragon as it soars toward its opponent. This attack is huge and incredibly powerful.

Seal of Agony - When release, Kuro creates a giant blast of black fire that takes the form of a giant wolf. This attack is stronger and faster than the first seal.

Seal of Death - This is the final seal. This attack is composed of white fire. It takes the form of a giant phoenix. This is the strongest attack that Kuro possesses. However, such power comes with a cost. Once the attack is completed the phoenix will attack the opponent with such power that it would be incredibly difficult to escape, and would be nearly impossible to escape unscathed. After attacking the phoenix flies to Kuro and envelops him and the entire area if fire. This attack will end Kuro's life.

Personality:
Kuro is a relaxed individual who likes to have fun, mostly by getting drunk with others. He is usually, at times, rather serious and strict, especially when he has a job to do. He is strong willed and rather stubborn about most things. He has a tactical mind that he uses to study his opponents during battle, always searching for a weakness that he can use against them. Kuro tends to switch back and forth between cold and insane during battle, making it hard for his opponent to predict his movements. Kuro is rather egotistical and believes himself worthy of being a god. This ego causes him to treat most people with little respect and can be cold to those who he doesn't deem useful. He can be rather manipulative toward others as well. He finds humor in things that others would find grotesque and loves turning people against each other so that he can sit back and watch them fight with a grin on his face. Kuro is also incredibly power hungry and is always searching for a way to grow stronger.

History:
Grew up without any family, having to grow stronger just to survive, has always been a loner, never wanting help from anyone unless needed, but when around other people becomes more comfortable and tries to have fun. When he was a kid he would run through the streets of Rukon with his small group of friends. He dreamed of making soul society a better place for all. He soon joined the soul academy in order to become a soul reaper and gain the power to help others. The first day at the academy, he was stopped outside the entrance by one of his childhood friends, Hana, a girl with long blond hair that she kept tied back and always had a shy expression on her face. She begged Kuro to not become a soul reaper because she feared she would never see him again and that he would change and forget all about her and the rest of his friends. He assured her that he would never change and entered the academy. Half way through his first year a rumor spread that someone had been killed in Rukon. Later he found a letter in his dorm from an old friend, Zang, that Hana had been killed and that no one knew who had committed the murder. As time passed he began to grow cold with vengeance and hatred and distanced himself from everyone. One day after he had graduated from the academy he took a walk down an abandoned road. As he walked, he came across a strange man that told him that he could never bring her back even if he did find the one who killed her. After a lot of thought he decided that the man was right and decided to do what he could to make sure that the same thing didn't happen to any one else, that no one else would be killed that he loved.

Upon arrival into the Sereitei, Kuro obtained his zanpakuto, formed from his reaitsu. A weapon forged from his very soul. With this he could destroy the hollows he hated, allowing him to protect those around him. He trained constantly, growing stronger with each passing day. His strength was incredible and his resolve was impenetrable. He would achieve his goal, he had to become a captain just as he had promised Hana he would. One day he was approached by an Arrancar by the name of Dragon who offered him power, the training required to achieve shikai. Kuro accepted this training, unaware that this training would be much more dangerous than he was ready for. Days passed without sleep or rest as he fought for his life against this strange being. The Arrancar possessed the ability to create multiple clones of himself, all of them being the same level in power as the original. Kuro was finally pushed to his limit and as he lay dying on the ground a voice rang through the air and suddenly he was no longer in the training grounds but was now lying on the stone floor of what appeared to be a palace. The room appeared to be a throne room. He pushed himself to his feet and glanced around at this strange place. How had he gotten here and where exactly was "here"? Kuro looked around for an entrance but not only was there a door but there seemed to be no walls either, the room seemed to stretch on for miles into infinite darkness. Pillars of black marble were scattered all around him in neat rows. The floor was a checkered bored design of black and white marble tiles. In the center of this room was a black throne trimmed in intricately designed silver. A tall man appeared behind the throne, stepping around it as if to get a look at Kuro. "Who are you?" Kuro said in a low, dark tone. He was unsure if he should trust this strange man in this strange place. "What makes you believe you are worthy of hearing my name?" Kuro began slowly walking forward toward the man and the throne. "I-I..." Kuro stopped as he saw the full details of the man before him. The man was dressed in a long, white, flowing cloak that hid most of his body. A long chain was tightly wrapped around the man's chest area, holding the cloak in place. A white hood covered most of the man's head except for his face and his long white hair. The strange being's face was pale, his eyes were crimson and seemed to glow menacingly in the dim room. He had fangs that resembled those that are associated with vampires in movies which only made his appearance even that more demented.

"You seem like you are lost even though you are exactly where you belong. Do you not recognize this place? Everything you see before you is yours. This is the world within your soul. Your world, your kingdom." The man began walking slowly toward Kuro. "Tell me, Kuro...why do you want to grow stronger?" Kuro was caught off guard by such a question. He pondered for a good answer, for words to express his feelings. "I search for power so that I may be able to protect those around me who lack the power to defend themselves." The man just laughed. "That is what I thought you would say. However, that is not the entire truth is it? I know more about you than you can even imagine. I know what lies in the very depths of your soul and mind. You wish to grow stronger because you thirst for power. A small boy who spends most of his life in the Rukon district would only want more for himself. There is a madness within you that will one day be released. The question is, will you be ready for it when it comes. A sane man will search for power and titles. However, a sane man is only so because he excepts the limitations of the world around him. An idiot searches for power so that he may obtain glory and be loved by those around him. That love is false and therefore he will fall into darkness only to destroy himself in the end. But a man who refuses to accept limitations and wants not to gain glory but to become a god, he is truly one worthy of power. Tell me, what are you? Are you the logical man who will only go as far as his limitations allow? Are you the idiot who gains power only to let it destroy him? Or are you the man who will push himself to grow stronger even when the world is screaming that it is impossible?" The man finished talking with a laugh the reverberated through the room. Kuro pondered this question for several minutes. Then he cleared his throat in preparation to speak. "I refuse to accept limitations like the other fools. I will continue to grow stronger for as long as I live so that I can use this power to protect those around me, no matter what I will have to do to obtain it." By the look in his eyes, the man could tell that Kuro was telling the truth. "You are walking down a dark path but their is a light at the end, just be patient. I shall grant you power and I shall fight at your side. I am the blade that you wield. Speak my name and my powers shall be yours. Hear me now, for I am Boukyaku!" A bright flash of light returned Kuro to the ground of the training area where he had previously been. He pushed himself to his feet and screamed his zanpakuto's name. He had finally achieved shikai. Several days passed as he fought the arrancar. Finally his training was over. Soon after he was accepted into the Seventh Division under Daven Motto-Taicho.

1. Sai (塞, Restrain) Locks a target's arms in place behind their back.

4. Hainawa (這縄, Crawling Rope) An energy rope entangles the target's arms.

8. Seki (斥, Repulse) Creates a round shield that seems to temporarily paralyze and repel whatever strikes it.

9. Geki (撃, Strike) Engulfs the target in red light, completely paralyzing them.

21. Sekienton (赤煙遁, Red Smoke Escape) Creates a blast upon activation and is used like a ninja's smoke bomb.

26. Kyakko (曲光, Curving Light) Hides the target from sight, presumably by bending light.

30. Shitotsu Sansen (嘴突三閃, Beak-Stab Triple Beam) Forming a golden triangle with one's finger, it shoots three beams of light that pin the target to one place on a surface, slamming into his or her body in three places in a shape of a perfect triangle.

37. Tsuriboshi (吊星, Suspending Star) Creates a star-shaped cushion of Spiritual Energy, which anchors it to nearby objects with "ropes" of spirit particles. It can stop falling objects, acting like a safety net.

39. Enkosen (円閘扇, Arc Shield) Summons a shield of condensed reiatsu to block opponents' attacks.

61. Rikujōkōrō (六杖光牢, Six Rods Prison of Light) Summons six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. The target is then unable to move any part of their body including the parts that were not struck by the beams.

62. Hyapporankan (百歩欄干, Hundred Steps Fence) A rod formed of energy is thrown towards the target before it disintegrates into numerous short rods which are used to pin the target to the surroundings and render them immobile.

63. Sajo Sabaku (鎖条鎖縛, Locking Bondage Stripes) Binds the arms of a target.

75. Gochūtekkan (五柱鉄貫, Quintet of 1 kan Iron Pillars) Summons five incredibly tall and thick pillars which are connected to each other by chains to pin a target to the ground.

81. Danku (斷空, Splitting Void) Creates an energy barrier in the form of a rectangular wall. According to Byakuya, it is capable of stopping destructive spells up to #89

Hado
1. Shō (衝, Thrust) Pushes the target away from the caster.

4. Byakurai (白雷, Pale Lightning) The user fires a concentrated, powerful lightning bolt from their finger.

11. Tsuzuri Raiden (製本雷, Bound Lightning) Electric current flows through any object the user touches and is able to lead electricity, damaging any target that is in contact with the object the current runs through.

31. Shakkahō (赤火砲, Shot of Red Fire) Fires a ball of red energy at a target.

33. Sōkatsui (蒼火墜, Blue Fire, Crash Down) Fires a burst of blue spiritual energy at a target in a similar manner to #31, but over a wider area and with more power.

54. Haien (廃炎, Abolishing Flames) Fires a blast of purple spiritual energy that will incinerate a target completely when it makes contact.

58. Tenran (闐嵐, Orchid Sky) A widening tornado-like blast is fired towards the target.

63. Raikōhō (雷吼炮, Thunder Roar Cannon) Fires a massive wave of yellow energy at a target.

73. Sōren Sōkatsui (双蓮蒼火墜, Twin Lotus Blue Fire, Crash Down) Essentially a doubled version of #33 (labeled as #73 in anime), this spell fires two shots of blue fire with greater potency than the single-shot variety.

88. Hiryugekizokushintenraiho (飛竜撃賊震天雷砲, Flying Dragon-Striking Heaven-Shaking Thunder Cannon) Fires a gigantic electricity blast of spiritual energy resulting in an truly enormous explosion.

90. Kurohitsugi (黒棺, Black Coffin) Forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears", lacerating the one inside from head to toe. Its appearance and function is reminiscent of a common magician's trick, as well as certain torture devices used during the Spanish Inquisition.

Other Abilities:
Tenraibotsu (Divine Death) - A technique created by Kuro himself. It is one of his most powerful attacks. It is incredibly difficult to control, especially for average shinigami. Recommended only for Captain level and above. This technique involves the user to focus a huge amount of reaitsu into their right hand, creating a revolving sphere, or by focusing the reaitsu into any weapon, causing the weapon to become engulfed by white twisting reaitsu. To fully charge this attack takes several minutes. Once completely charge, the user must thrust their hand into the opponent's direction. This releases an incredibly large blast of destructive reaitsu that will disintegrate anything it comes into contact with instantly. If charged into a weapon, simply slash it through the air, releasing a wave of destructive reaitsu with the same effect but with wider range. This technique usually leaves the user completely drained so this should only be used as a last resort.

Shunpo (Flash Step) - A form of high speed movement utilized by a user's reiatsu (compressed spiritual energy).

Utsusemi - Creates an afterimage used as a diversion or substitution.

Cero: are high-powered energy blasts that can be fired from various body parts, such as mouth, tongue, hand or fingers.

Negación: (反膜(ネガシオン), Spanish for "negation") fields are used to rescue fellow hollows. Only the Gillian-class Menos have shown the ability to use it. Negación fields surround a target in a square beam of light that isolates the target from the dimension they are currently in, making it impossible to harm them.

Sonído (響転(ソニード), Sonīdo; Spanish for "sound") is the Arrancar equivalent of the Shinigami Flash Steps and the Quincy Hirenkyaku; it allows the user to travel at incredibly high speeds for short distances. Use of Sonído is punctuated by a brief static sound, in contrast to the "swish" sound caused by Flash Steps.

Garganta (黒腔(ガルガンタ), garuganta; Spanish for "throat") It literally tears open the dimensional fabric separating the worlds, revealing a tunnel of whirling, torrential energy that must be focused and solidified to create a discernible pathway.

Bala: (虚弾(バラ), bara; Spanish for "bullet", also translated as "Hollow Bullet") The technique hardens the user's Spiritual Pressure and fires it like a bullet from their fist. It is seriously weaker than a normal cero, it moves about twenty times faster and can be fired at a much higher rate, but the damage is much the same.

Hierro: (鋼皮(イエロ), Hiero; Spanish for "iron") refers to the hardened skin of the Arrancar, which is a result of their compressed spiritual power. While their skin is strong enough to block even released Zanpakutou bare-handed, it is by no means impenetrable. Stronger Arrancar have proportionally stronger skin.

Physical Appearance: Kowabi is a slip of a woman, her body being thin and gaunt due to anorexia and lack of care…a habit that’s nagged her for more than three hundred years. But her most distinguishing features are the combination of her skin color and eyes. Her skin is literally black, as if someone took a piece of good ebony and pulled it and stretched it to fit over her body. In contrast her eyes are best described as ‘Caustic Orange’ a neon so bright it hurts to look at, in combination with her white sclera and black pupil the fiery color makes her gaze intense no matter the emotion she’s feeling at the moment. Besides that, her face is an oxymoron…both angular and round, but in a pleasing way, at best she looks exotic even under her strange coloration. Kowabi’s hair is even darker than her skin if that’s even possible, almost the essence of darkness woven into strands so slim they feel like satiny spider’s silk. She keeps her strange hair in an equally strange cut, bobbed to her cheek on her left side and lengthening diagonally until hanging down to mid-chest on her right side with bangs that cascade far enough down to brush the bridge of her nose. When hit by even the slightest of winds her hair will dance, almost floating at any movement she makes. She has no tattoo’s to be found, being that her skin is to dark to show the inking, but her torso, back, shoulders, chest, upper arms and thighs are covered in small dark gray scars, a remnant from early childhood.

Kowabi can be regularly found wearing a backless Shihakushou, one that’s been well tailored to her ever thinning body, with a tight fitting long sleeved half jacket to cover most of her exposed skin. The coat wraps snuggly around her neck and frames the triangle of flesh on her upper chest with the front of the jacket unzipped, the only bit of skin shown besides on her face and hands. Under the jacket, Kowabi has uniquely made fingerless leather gloves that extend all the way to her shoulders, being held in place by a wide strip of leather across her upper back and shoulders which wraps around her neck and is hidden beneath her half jacket. The gloves are black and white and horizontally striped, with seven of the thick bands colored black starting from her wrist and continuing upwards ending at her slim shoulder. Similarly, her tabi are actually stockings, mimicking her leather gloves and starting the black stripe at just above her ankles. The whole point to her strange clothing choice is the fact that the horizontal stripes throw off the length of her reach when striking to the opponent’s eye. It may only fool those with little experience with optical illusions, but it does give her an edge with first strikes. She also wears the standard waraji, laced tightly around her ankles.


Accessories: Kowabi keeps at least two or three small note books and a variety of ink pens with her at all times, all tucked away in the messenger like bag hung at her right hip. In small pockets in the bag she also keeps her white eye shadow, a constant coloration on her upper eye lids, and black iridescent hair beads, worn on the left side of her hair six or seven at a time, for when primping in necessary. One strange accessory would be her steal gilded nails. Kowabi has an affinity for most types of metal and can mold them by hand as long as she wills it to happen, so to improve on natures design she coats her nails in a covering of steal. Occasionally she’ll remove the gildings and play with them absently; molding the tiny ball of metal much like a child molds clay. The same can be said for small silver rings fitted along her bags straps. Inside her bag she also keeps a tin flute like instrument, which she plays from time to time, only playing melodies that are whimsical yet disturbing.

Personality: Standoffish when it comes to typical daily interactions, Kowabi is easily perceived as cold to those who do not know her. Indeed she does have a kind of façade to deal with social situations, but about five hundred years of living disconnected from society unintentionally altered her persona. Instead when she opens up, she can be boisterous and happy-go-lucky. Beyond that, she will really only open herself to those she’s known for near her entire life, considering that there’s no one left, her moments of happiness are few and far between.

Most of Kowabi’s mannerisms extend from abuse as a child, but she ended up concurring all but three of her phobias. Of those that still remain, Aphenphosmphobia: the fear of being touched, makes her jittery and skittish while walking through crowds and of course when anyone tries to touch her, only letting one individual lay hands on her. Next, Isolophobia: the fear of solitude or being alone, keeps Kowabi within the Seireitei almost indefinitely. She simply can’t stand being alone unless given a specific ordered task. She can cope for a time in solitude, but will run to friends or crowded places as soon as her fears make her snap. Finally she also suffers from Somniphobia: the fear of sleep. Even if her abuse ended years ago…she can’t help but dislike sleeping. In her dreams she is forever tormented by the afterimages of her childhood abuse.


Specialties: Assassinations, she’s quiet and to the point in her missions, finishing quickly due to her speed and particular weapon mastery. She’s also quite good at reconnaissance as she can suppress her reiatsu so well it seemingly doesn’t exist; coupling that with her quiet nature…she merely disappears into the background of her surroundings.

Skills: Her most obvious ability would be an affinity with most types of metals, Kowabi is literally able to bend and shape metal by hand without external heat sources or extreme force. As long as she wills the action to happen, the metal will by pliable to her touch. This plays quite a bit into her fascination with metal smithing…or blacksmithing whatever you’d like to call it. As always the course was offered in the Academy and Kowabi took it up immediately as an elective, but very few students ever took the course as it was difficult and highly demanding, but her gift with bending metals turned out to be quite suited to the task and Kowabi even was accredited enough to be certified in the creation of Asauchi. Even though Kowabi is able to bend metals, she can’t directly affect zanpakutou besides Asauchi, as a person’s unique zanpakutou picks up on their own reiatsu and reishi, making it impossible for Kowabi to bend the unique formulation.

Her next skill would be a highly developed mastery of Hohou techniques, leaving out the Hollow ability of Sonido. She simply sees no reason to learn a variation of what is much the same as Shunpo, as long as she’s proficient in one…why train in the other? She doesn’t have as much stamina for a fight at the beginning, rather preferring to overpower her opponent immediately and crush them down, a style suited well to her assassination skills. But as the battle progresses she’ll gain her second wind and continue on unhindered and increasing her use of Hohou to the point of blinding speeds…and all without the use of her mask. To match her skill in shunpo, Kowabi is well acquainted with Hakuda techniques, having spent a majority of her life training insured she knew the skill. Kowabi is not super strong, but her technique coupled with her flexibility and acrobatic works well for slipping past an opponent’s defenses. In particular, Kowabi has two fighting style forms, one completely without weapons and one while only holding on to a weapon, not striking with the weapon, but using Hakuda around holding it. It’s simply a skill developed to surprise an opponent with a punch to the face rather than a stab to the throat with her zanpakutou in hand.

Finally, she’s quite good at short range Zanjustu. As her zanpakutou is a wakizashi unreleased and dual butterfly daggers in Shikai, it’s only fitting that she’d have well developed short range weapon skills. In fact, in Bankai it’s difficult for her to wield the naginata it takes on even with the shortened tsuka of the long sword. She has to be very deliberate in her movements with the longer weapon for fear of catching it on something above or below her. That of course would not be good at all, especially if she was attempting to block a death blow per say. So, instead of enhancing that skill, she’s very dependent on the metal webbing in her Bankai, using it to both attack and defend with little effort.

Inner World: To Kowabi her Inner World is a endless black plain with an immense spiders web that’s oriented diagonally across the darkness. Even in all the blackness, the web glows a soft and inviting white, hiding the fact that if one were to fall from the web they’d be lost forever in endless darkness. Cast along each and every silken thread are drops of Kowabi’s memories, like dew. When staring into one of these droplets is like a short cinematic experience as if watching the memory directly through Kowabi, larger droplets scattered about hold light pastel colors, a glowing reminder of Kowabi’s emotions as they shift with her many moods and fears. In the very center of the lucent web are thousands of adjoining threads woven in such a way as to create a thrown, the seat where her Zanpakutou Spirit and Inner Hollow can be found.

Zanpakutou Spirit: At first glance, Kakera appears to be nothing more than a young girl just barely entering womanhood. But it that's all one sees then they are sorely mistaken. Although slim, Kakera has strength far beyond her petite size, and an attitude conducive to fits of rage when upset. She is blind, pink eyes lax as she uses the vibrations of the web to see. Being albino, her skin is a softly glowing alabaster and the hair that falls in soft waves is crystallinely white. She also talks and dresses like a lady of the courts, speaking of herself in the plural and wearing a garment of twelve layers. Her kimono though is made of the silken webbing all around, giving it a texture so satiny its like no other cloth imaginable. Differentiating the layers, a dusting of iridescent colors as if from insects long ago caught gave their body’s coloration to the threads.

As Kakera moves about the web, she reveals four spindly crystal legs that sprout from her back, keeping her steady. As she moves the cobwebs the build her gown lay down new paths of silk, rebuilding fading threads almost daily. But, she mostly passes her time by 'playing' with Kowabi's Inner Hollow, finding the empty being to be quite placid and willing to pretend to be her servant.


Unreleased: While sealed Karkera Kumo no Su is strapped to Kowabi’s right hip, allowing her ambidextrous nature to dictate which hand she draws the blade with. The Tsuba is an intricate lacing of eight spider’s legs into and antiqued silver oval. In contrast the Tsukamaki is the same neon orange as her eyes with the Same diamonds winking a perfect white. The rectangular Kashira is the same antiqued silver as the Tsuba with a neon orange cord looped through the small hole in the metal. The cord stretches down for about four inches where an antiqued chain continues on for another four inches. At the end of the chain rests a spider shaped pendent, the abdomen entirely made of and expertly cut iridescent black gem, displaying colors which should never come from black. The blade of the wakizashi is bright perfectly polished silver, well maintained by an OCD like compulsion that Kowabi can’t seem to get rid of. Besides that, the Saya is ebony with embossed patterns of cobwebs etching the surface, breaking up the unrelieved black with grays created by highlights as light strikes the lacquered sheathe.

Shikai: 夢織りの妨げられていない(Yume Ori no Samatagerareteinai) Weave unhindered dreams, 欠片蜘蛛の巣Kakera Kumo no Su.

Specifically to fit with her assassination skills, Shikai is a very subdued transformation for both her Zanpakutou and reiatsu. Holding the short Tsuka with both hands, Kowabi calls the release only with her mind. Keeping with the silent change, the blade liquefies and drips upwards as she pulls the mass of metal in two. Finishing the shift the Butterfly Daggers take form, the Tsuba becoming the head, thorax and abdomen of a silver spider with its legs turning upwards in and extended hand guard to connect with the Kashira. The fabric of the Tsukamaki reemerges from the metal with a now more red-orange tint. The last to take shape is the blades, each extending to eight inches and becoming slightly wider than the original wakizashi blade. As the blades form, bits of the extraneous metal drips up her arms to form thick bands, constantly swirling around her upper arms.

All the while, Kowabi’s reiatsu is completely held in check, not rising as with typical Shikai release, but being suppressed until the moment she strikes, then retreating back into her body once again. In all, the release is as quiet and unnoticed as a spider silently crawling up a wall.


Attacks:

  1. 最初の製織 Saijou no Seishouku, 銀めっきGinmekki (First Weaving, Silver Gild)

    On invocation, the metal bands around her arms stop turning round and begin to pull downwards into thin threads, weaving together and solidifying against her skin. Although the metal is in a liquid state, it becomes hard at the slightest brush against it, yet still allows Kowabi the freedom to move. Even as her simplest Shikai skill, the gilding on her body works well with her close range fighting style, letting her both attack and defend.

  2. 二番目の製織 Nibanme no Seishouku, 剛毛 Goumou (Second Weaving, Bristle)

    A passive technique that requires no invocation beyond the nearness of an opponent, Bristle is just as it sounds, the metals coating her arms or even while still in band form extend spikes directly from her skin. These spikes are thin and extremely tough until they’ve entered the skin of the opponent, then the tiny micro barbs at the tip of each take over and break off in the wounds. From there the tips liquefy again and writhe while in the flesh, causing immense pain in the area affected. The metals don’t move farther into the flesh.

  3. 三番目の製織 Sanbanme no Seishouku, 軌道 Kidou (Third Weaving, Orbit)

    Clasping her hands together with daggers pointing downwards, the metals on her arms lift away in drops and amorphous blobs. They then split into threads, weaving eight three inch diameter spheres that float in a radius around Kowabi. These spheres can be both passive and an active attack, as in either circling her while she fights or sent careening towards an opponent. On contact with anything these spheres shatter into razor tipped shards, which then burst outwards in an intense spray. Each shard bursting yet again into even smaller shards when contact is made. Just like with Bristle, the bits and pieces that cut into the skin leave traces behind to writhe in the wound.

  4. 四番目の製織 Yonbanme no Seishouku, 拡張Kakuchou (Fourth Weaving, Extend)


A last ditch effort on her part, surprise, or way of torture; the final technique for Kakera Kumo no Su in Shikai is extremely simple. The liquid metals reach down and extend her daggers to the length of typical katana. Kowabi rarely uses the technique unless she knows her daggers are stuck far enough into someone’s flesh to cause massive damage or if she just can’t quite reach her target. Otherwise she will not use the move in normal situations, as she’s not adept in long ranged Zanjutsu.


Bankai: 鮮麗欠片蜘蛛の巣 Senrei Kakera Kumo no Su (Sehn-dlei Kah-keh-dla Ku-moh Noh Soo) Resplendent Fragmented Spiders Web.

At the utterance of Bankai, Kowabi holds her blades upright as the metal liquefies, dripping down her hands before shooting away in threads in all directions. These threads cover the entire battle field in a spider like webbing, the metal strands impeding movement for the opponent. The strands are extremely strong and are difficult to cut with any sort of blade. They can be destroyed by various attacks and skills, but once shattered they return to a liquid state and rebuild in only a few seconds, that is if Kowabi is still strong enough to support them. In turn Kowabi is unaffected by the hindering metals as they move with her, braking apart and rebuilding at her passing. By removing a single thread, she’s able to create a slim Naginata, the entire short tsuka the same shimmering silver metal like the rest of the blade. While wielding this singular weapon, she’s trailed by a stream of liquefied metal following the blade and tsuka of her Naginata.

Inner Hollow: Unlike all other Vizards, Kowabi’s Inner Hollow is so literally her opposite it ends up being male to her female. He goes by the name of 裏面 Rimen (Dlee-mehn) a term with a meaning of the reverse side of a coin, the kanji literally meaning reversed mask. As he is her reflection, in personality Rimen is everything Kowabi is not. His appearance however is of her same height and build but overlaid with a masculine filter, and his hair mirrors hers being short on the left and long on the right. It’s strange how his white coloration matches so well with her inner world, Rimen even goes so far as to act as a servant to Kakera Kumo no Su, lounging at the base of her thrown, Karera’s hand stroking languidly through his hair.

Ever since Kowabi became a Vizard, Rimen has only challenged her once. He feels no need to be in control of his female counter part, so long as she continues to gain in strength at a rate he deems appropriate. Seeing as she’s trained diligently for the majority of her life, she keeps up with his expectations perfectly. In fact he’s quite content to remain locked in her inner world, reversed black and bright blue eyes dancing with a sense of malicious mischievousness.


Vizard Mask: X Of course it’s only the mask but in pure white, including the band that wraps around the head and the leather straps in the back. Besides that, Kowabi is incredibly adept at only conjuring a tiny portion of her mask to access her hollow abilities.

Vizard Abilities:

  • Cero: Unlike most, Kowabi’s Cero tends to be small and condensed, packing twice the punch normally associated with the attack. The color of the blast is bright neon orange, intentionally overly flashy to cause temporary blindness to those idiotic enough to look at it straight on, and is summoned from either her hands, fingers or the tip of her zanpakutou.

  • Garganta: The pathway used by all Hollows to move between the worlds. Like most Arrancar, all Kowabi has to do to open a rift is seemingly touch the very air with a brush of finger tips and a flick of a wrist. Once open, she doesn’t tend to connect the rift with another on the other side, but leisurely moves through the light and shadow realm and systematically picks out where she wants to reemerge at.

  • Hierro: A skill that took her far to long to learn, whenever Kowabi decides to summon her mask or a portion of it, she unconsciously activates Hierro. Mostly, it’s because she seldom thinks about using it and over the years has become a natural reflex to opening to her Hollow reiatsu.

  • Bala: Just like with her Cero, it’s reduced in size but holds quite a bit more ‘umph’ than what’s normally associated with the attack.

    Kidou Element: Sound

    Description: Used mainly for assassinations specifically where the target is alone, the first two lines of the haunting serenade are laced with a strong compulsion to lure the target closer. Following the targets movement into range the sound waves of the song change, causing the target to fall into a relaxed state while being wrapped in a layer of sound that keeps the assassins location hidden from their ears. Reaching the last two lines of the lullaby it shifts yet again, the sound waves becoming strong enough to effect the optical nerve, blurring sight briefly as the kidou is concluded, designed so as the last note falls away the target is enthralled for the shorts of breaths of time allowing the assassin a clear opening for attack.

    The secondary design of the Kidou is to fend against those who can visually see through illusion, as it’s not as rare an ability as what is thought. The illusion of this technique is passed through sound and makes it much harder to break through for those people, allowing those who specialize in assassinations the time they need to set up their killing strike no matter the being they are hunting. Mostly this Kidou is useful to those of the Supervision Squad.

    There is no restriction on use of this Kidou, but only those who can bend and change their reiatsu well will have success in creating the desired effects. So, in essence people who serve as specially trained assassins and those ranked similarly to the Uutaicho will have the best chance of using the Kidou correctly. If not, the spell is broken easily by unfocused casting.


Biography: Kowabi is old, two thousand years of experience is under her belt yet she seems to be eternally youthful. She has existed as a Vizard since her training in the Academy, but was skilled enough to hide the transformation form others and continue living her life as a Shinigami. But, her secret was eventually discovered and her loyalty to the Seireitei was tested when she was hunted within its walls. She never lashed out against her pursuers, only defending herself and pleading with them to end their hunt. She was continually tested, and the Captain’s at the time realized just how hard she was fighting to prevent innocents from being hurt while they hammered away at her resolve. Finally, after nearly a decade of the endless game of cat and mouse her loyalties were proven and she was approached by a select group of Captains and given an ultimatum. To remain in the Seireitei she must live under the watchful eye of the Sou Taicho, always within the First Squad barracks unless told otherwise and within the Sou Taicho’s sight whenever possible. If not, then the hunt for her would continue, until she either snapped and attacked or enough force was used to crush her all together. Suffice to say, Kowabi chose the former option and began living under that watchful eye, but her days soon drug on into monotony and the ever present insults and sneers she received from anyone who knew what she was.

After a good amount of time and careful thinking she approached her ‘guardian’ with an idea. For her to serve as some sort of tool, a threat that could be used against any enemy or a weapon secreted away within the walls of the Seireitei. Out of some miraculous judgment on the Sou Taicho’s part, Kowabi was awarded with the title of Jouryaku Sareta Kokuei, The Omitted Silhouette, and assassin that only serves under the highest authority. Since that time, she has faithfully served every Sou Taicho that has passed through the halls of the First Squad, assisting with mundane administrative work and even training Squad members in combat.

More recently, she finally defected from the Seireitei for reasons of her own and has been lurking on the streets of Karakura town, observing the goings on of each spiritually aware being she comes across.

Personality: Neppa's personality has changed over the years. With him gaining his inner Hollow, he has gone through a personality split of sorts. Neppa is now always calm and collected, as well as snobbish to everyone, save for fellow Vizards, Angela, and her minion. His inner Hollow has gained his more sadistic side, showing such in his combat. He relishes in causing the enemy pain, rather watching them slowly burn to death rather than finishing them off quickly with explosive force as Neppa would.

Physical Description: Tall with darker skin than normal. Neppa's hair is red, but more like the colour than what hair turns out to be, and it tends to hang out over his face. He is fairly well toned, but not overly muscular. He has thin, red eyes, though they can change to be quite big when excited, conjuring a frightening image with his exceptionally long canines. For attire, he wears a tank top, black, with the kanji 火(Hi - Fire) printed on the back in red. Over it, he wears a white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up and untucked. He also wears his pants that he used to wear when he was alive, red cargo pants with a strap of material connecting the knees together. On his feet are black, steel toe boots. He also has a pair of dark, rectangular, rimless sun glasses that he wears on occasion. His necklace is also still in his possession, a simple black band with a metal plate on the front with 正義(seigi - justice) etched into it. He is also sometimes seen with a black zipper hoodie with the sleeves pulled up to his elbows. He's also taken up smoking by this time around, so he will more often then not be seen with a cig in his mouth or a lighter in his hand.
His tattoo is still on his left arm. It starts on the back of his hand, then moves up his arm as well as wrapping around his wrist and around his thumb into his palm. His palm has a black oval in the middle, so with the flames converging into it, it looks vaguely like a mouth spewing, or eating, flames. As the tattoo is a sign of his power, it extends up to the top of his shoulder and almost to his elbow on his inner arm. With him having to be in a gigai for so long, he's learned to call and dismiss his Zanpakutou at will. When he calls, he sticks out his left hand and it begins to burn, creating his glove and the chain, which then moves to the sword, the shapes burning in the air until it is created, only taking a second or two. When he dismisses it, the exact opposite happens, his sword burning up and disappearing.
When he does leave his gigai, he takes up his old uniform, that of the black gi, hakama, and sandals. He also has a black haori over his shoulders now, but rather than having a squad number on it, it has the kanji 裁判官(saibankan – judge), vertically.
Ekibyou Neppa - Post Bankai

Zanpakuto Name and Sealed Description: 熱情火(Netsujyoubi) - Zelous Fire. The blade is a little over a meter long, and the hand guard is solid(no holes in the side). There is also a chain extending from the end of the hilt to his left arm. He wears it on his left side, as normal.

Zanpakuto Spirit: The spirit of his Zapakuto is that of the Salamander, the mythical fire-eating lizard. The picture of him belittles him quite a bit, but Neppa seems to downsize him when he manifests him. When in Neppa's inner world, that of an everlasting magma field with a volcano in the 'middle', Netsujyoubi is at least twice the size of Neppa. Netsujyoubi tries to be Neppa's worst enemy, preying on Neppa's justice-complex, constantly telling him that he's worthless and accomplishes nothing. This is merely how he helps Neppa, and would act in a much different manner to another person or Zanpakutou.

Shikai: 「火をつける、熱情火」 (Hi wo tsukeru, Netsujyoubi!) Light them up, Netsujyoubi! - After calling his Zanpakuto, he draws it from it's scabbard, changing shape as it is drawn. While being drawn, sparks fly from the scabbard and sword, leaving both smoldering. The sword always seems to have smoke emanating from it. It's strange shape is meant to confuse enemies and it can act both as a sword and an axe.
Abilities
1) Smoldering(Passive) – The sword is perpetually hot, almost as hot as a sword would need to be to temper and change the blade. Because of this, it will create sparks and fire when moved in certain ways. When scraped along the ground, sparks will shoot out and the ground will be left scorched and smoking. When moved through the air in a quick fashion, the blade will ignite along the swung blade, increasing the temperature and leaving a tail of smoke behind it.
2) Smoke Screen – Neppa pumps reiatsu into his sword for the heat to use as a fuel to cause smoke. With the next swing, smoke is exuded from the sword and drifts in the direction swung. Normally he uses a bat swing, making his sword also act as a fan to make a wall of smoke. Alternatively, he'll swing his sword overhead to produce a whole cloud, mainly if he needs to escape or needs time to cast something. This move uses relatively little reiatsu, though the more used, the more smoke is made.
3) Flame Wheel – Neppa swings his sword along the ground in an upward arc while pushing reiatsu into his Zanpakuto. The fire created on the ground and the blade use it as a fuel and arc off the sword and into a wheel of fire, traveling in the direction dictated by the swing. This uses an average amount of reiatsu, but can be thrown around fairly freely. It has a maximum range of 10 meters.

Bankai:

「弱いを虐殺する、土地を被害する、末永く熱情火」 (Yowai wo gyakusatsusuru, tochi wo higaisuru, Suenagaku Netsujyoubi!) Slaughter the weak, ravage the land, Forever Burning Zealous Fire! - After saying 'Bankai', his sword immolates and he puts his arms at his sides, hands and sword outward at waist level. The fire then begins to engulf his body, burning off the kosode and haori, but leaving his hakama and gi. His clothing and hair seems to float with the heat, leaving a surreal image, especially since his eyes seem to smolder as well.
Abilities
1) Immolation(Passive) – Neppa's sword and body are engulfed in flames hot enough to melt most under crafted weapons. The flames are caused by reiatsu pouring out from his body and acting like a second skin. The heat does not effect Neppa negatively, and will cauterize most of his sustained wounds immediately. Most flame based attacks will have little to no effect as he is on fire. Because the fire is reiatsu based, all fire based Kidou are empowered and will require little to no incantation to cast. His sword will also leave a tail of fire when swung. Now that he is set on a vendetta, everything he does is in the name of justice, so his fire burns purple.
2) Blazing Weapon – Neppa controls all the reiatsu around his body to form into a second Zanpakuto and chain made of pure fire in his right hand, which has all the properties of the original. He holds his original in his left and it remains on fire. This removes the fire from around his body, as well as the benefits gained from it, but allows him to do some very complicated techniques and throws with his swords. Both Flame Wheel and Gun Flame can be used in this mode.
3) Heat Distortion – This move is similar to Smoke Screen, but rather than creating smoke, he exudes an extreme amount of heat, causing the field to become distorted from the rising heat. He can also control the distortion to make it look like he disappears or there be multiples of him. This also affects sounds, so he can make it sound like he's coming from a different direction. The more complex, the more reiatsu used.
4) Gun Flame – This move is an advance version of the Flame Wheel, though they are separate moves and can both be use in Bankai. It is activated in a similar way, though he holds his sword upside down and does an upward slash. This causes pillars of fire to shoot out of the ground in the slashed direction, three meters high, and in a straight line. It has a maximum range of ten feet. This move is stronger than Flame Wheel and takes slightly more reiatsu.
5) 台風火(Taifuubi) Flaming Typhoon – This is Neppa's signature technique. He forces all of the reiatsu flames into his sword, causing flames to spew out of the sword and the chain. He then starts to spin it over head, only holding onto the bit of chain at the end. Thusly, it causes a typhoon of fire to be created with a diameter of just about ten meters. The only safe spot is a small, 2 meter diameter circle in the middle, where Neppa stands and laughs. If one can withstand the heat, then they just need to watch out for the sword, which spins around at some 40 mph. When Neppa stops swinging, the typhoon will linger for about five minutes, slowing down till it eventually dissipates. After he uses this, he reverts to his Shikai state and must rest, or recharge with Fire Eater, which can bring him back into Bankai state. Fire Eater is the only Bankai level move that can be used after Flaming Typhoon. He can sustain the typhoon for about 15 minutes, though the longer he keeps it up, the longer he has to rest, as it's very taxing upon his body. He most commonly uses this to bring the field to his advantage, only about three minutes or so, then quickly finish off the target, as the typhoon doesn't affect him.
6) 火を食べ(Hiwotabe) Fire Eater – This is Neppa's last ditch move. This move will only work against fire based attacks, and will otherwise leave him open for attack. When a fire based attack is launched at himself, he will channel his reiatsu fire to his hands, which will let him channel an oncoming fire based attack. He will channel the attack into his mouth in which he will consume the fire. Based on the strength of the attack, it will recharge his reiatsu fire by an amount equal to the attack's. This will not work with his own techniques unless they are reflected back at him, but an allies' attack can be absorbed. After the fight is over, the fire must be expelled from his body, either from an existing orifice or possibly one could be made. The major problem is that it causes the fire to rage out through him, causing internal damage. The stronger the attack and the longer it is contained, the more damage done. A low powered fire Kidou may only singe his throat and be released through a belch, but a Bankai level technique could cause grievous wounds and even cause ruptures in the skin as the mouth, nose, and eyes can't release the energy quickly enough. Neppa only uses this move as a last ditch effort to continue fighting to win, since he could kill himself with this move.

Vizard Mask:
Neppa's mask takes the form of a very stylized skull. It embodies death, the last judgment that can be served. The top corner does not exist as to give room for his hair to fall over it, though he could theoretically fill it in if he wants. There are two holes for eyes, positioned in a way to emulate a stern glare. A red slash goes from the top left, over the left eye, and down the cheek. There is a mark to emulate a nose as well as marks to make a grim mouth. He'll commonly form it while pulling his hood over his head, making him look like a sort of executioner.

Vizard Abilities: Cero, Negacion, Sonido(Neppa prefers Sonido over Shunpo because it emulates the sound of an explosion, though he will use Shunpo if he needs to be sneaky.) When his mask is active, his powers are much more explosive. Ex: Instead of a Flame Wheel striking and burning a target, it would cause a miniature explosion, throwing them back as well as burning. The other main thing is that while his mask is active, the colour of his fire inverts. Instead of his fire burning white to purple, it's black to green. Also, with so much power being used while his mask is manifested, he doesn't need to eat the fire for him to use it. When a fire attack hits him, it simply fuses with his body, making him immune to fire and heat damage while fire will refuel him.

Skills: Neppa has studied mainly in Zanjutsu and Kidou. He is about average speed and only knows Aikido as a form of Hakudou, mainly because of it's relations to sword play. A general technique that he employs is that he throws his sword at his opponent, then pulls it back with the chain. This can be performed in various ways, from just throwing it in a wide arc, to spinning it by the chain for more control. He'll also use it as a tool for climbing and as a grappling hook when need be.

Bio: Before Neppa left the world of the living, he was a student at a law school. He didn't want to be there, but his parents forced him into to, being the only school they would fund him to go to. On the other side of his life, he was a member of a low key gang. They didn't hold much turf in any respect, but they were known for protecting regular people from other gangs. This was how he died, in a fight with one of the stronger gangs of the city. Neppa and his crew had brought knives to a gunfight, and ended up paying dearly for it. So with his death, he carried over his will for justice like a fire, leading him through the Shinigami Academy and to excel in the categories that he thought were best suited to serve out justice with. Now graduated, he wishes to try for either Squad 5 or Squad 13, though Squad 11 seems a possible choice, even though he would be ridiculed for using Kidou.
With raw power being one of Neppa's stronger points, even in the use of Kidou, he was quickly added to the roster of Squad 11. His power paired with his fiery will to win only helped him more as he became Vice Captain. Over the years he helped to be Qastor's counterpart, being strict and enforcing the commands as Qastor made them. Slowly, they learned to get along much better, and Neppa became a little softer, at least to those in his Squad. After Qastor died, Neppa was proposed to become the next Captain for Squad 11.
With the death of his mentor Neppa had become somewhat reclusive from everyone. The verdict of the Captain Commander being that of no action, Neppa brooded over a way he could serve justice to the one that killed him, as well as those in the Hueco Mundo deserved. With thoughts of the vendetta in his mind, he learned to control his anger and turned it into a strength he hadn't had before. With this new found strength he became a wonderful replacement and did his job as Captain of the Combat Squad well.
Years later, the leader of the Hueco Mundo had decided on a course of action and attacked the Rukongai. Neppa and his squad was mobilized to take care of the incursion, swiftly meeting up with the enemy. As he began to fight an Arrancar, he was struck opportunistically by the girl he was trying to protect, who turned out to be the leader of the Hueco Mundo. The Arrancar who he was fighting was named Angela, an Arrancar bent on repenting for her sins of consuming human souls. This struck Neppa in a strange way, to which he felt that his thoughts and the teachings on the Hollows were wrong. With this new information, he decided that he must find a way to repent. After a long session of meditation and remembering Vizards, specifically Ex Captains Fuyu and Yomiko, he left the Soul Society behind him to become one himself. By allowing a Hollow to manifest and live inside of himself, he will serve out the punishment for his sin as well as gain strength to serve righteous punishment upon those of the Hueco Mundo, single handedly if need be.
