I am writing a story, but after reading it I saw there were a few minor details similar to a story I was reading. Nothing big, but they're sort of coincidental and I don't want people calling me a copier or something. Any suggestions?

It depends. Everyone gets thier inspiration from somewhere. How bad is it? If it's coping the plot and ending exactly, then maybe you should change it. But, I mean, there's twenty vampire romances out there. Uglies by Scott Westerfield is based off of a Twilight Zone episode. As long as you change the major details and such, you should be fine.

Just let your writing flow naturally. If it looks similar to what you are reading, That is just fine. You can't put rules on your flow. heart
