It seems that I spoke too soon..
None of the reservations work. That is, there are no signs on the reserved neighborhoods, no apparent plots to move in to.
And no, I did not wait until after the 24 hour reservation period. And yes, I only tried to place houses on the reserved mule's friendslist. It simply does not work.
I tried at different times, from different computers, and when I'm lucky enough to be able to load gaia towns, it does not read a single one of my mule reservations for Crosshaven.
This is, of course, frustrating to no end. Especially because much of our reserved space is clustered close together. I fear that the glitch will not be fixed before the reservations expire, though I will make every effort to renew them.
Once the glitch is fixed, even if all of our reservations expire, I will spend the gold to make new reservations, and try again. If there are no places left to reserve, gaia will release new maps and I will try yet again.
This is an uphill battle, and I'm doing everything I can. Eventually all will be settled.

Any idea what the new layout is going to be like, maybe a quick basic sketch of the zipcode arrangement and where the districts are going to be? Or are those details yet to be decided?
I can assure you that when the town is placed, I will release a full layout map of all neighborhoods, including the placement of public buildings and the borders of the five zones from the previous layout. And I'll make sure to release this information in advance so that you can plan where to move in.
