The Nemea River runs through the Forest of Shadows. The River is clear and pure even at the worst of times.

Darklyte was wandering through the forest when she came upon the river. She looks in it to see if there are any fish in there. She gets down on her right knee and cups her hands to pick up some water and drinks it. Not many fish in here, at least for now, may be the wrong time of day. I don't know the area very well. Darklyte thinks to herself as she gets a couple more handfuls of water and drinks it. She then stands back up and surveys the banks on both sides of the river.

Segador looks into the river from the trees. He then looks across the river and sees Darklyte, "you might find more fish further down the river" he says to her.

Darklyte gives a low growl that is extremely hard to hear unless someone is standing right next to her and is listening for it. "Who said anything about fish?" Darklyte asks Segador without looking up at him. She continues to survey the stream and make mental notes.

"Why else would anyone want to look into the river" Jason says he jumps out of the tree and lands lightly on the ground. "Unless of course you are shallow and look at your own refelection, but I highly doubt somebody like you are shallow" he says grinning.

"There are many different reasons to actually look 'into' the river." Darklyte states as she watches Segador jump out of the tree. "The same goes for examining it."

Segador smiles at Darklyte, but the smile is not a friendly one. "Why would you want to examine the river for" Segador says to Darklyte "do you suspect it to be poisoned" he says staring at Darklyte.

"No." Darklyte states. She gets her guard up by Segador's smile. "Examine to river to look for pools, runs, riffles, see which of the two banks is the highest, where some undercuts might be at, see how close or far away the vegetation is to the water, gauge the waters depth, and determine the speed of the flow of the river." Darklyte states the reasons as to what she is examining the river for.
((All of that listed above is true and viable, that was the first week of my job for this summer.))

Segador's smile fades, "why on earth would you do that" Segador asks her.

"For several reasons." Darklyte states. She doesn't state them though. She keeps her guard up even though Segador's smile is gone. He asks a lot of questions. Darklyte thinks to herself.

Segador's smile appears again, "your not going to tell me are you" Segador asks Darklyte.

Darklyte gives a slightly crooked, fanged smirk and looks at Segador with deep green eyes. "Nope. It gives me a survival advantage, let's just put it that way." Darklyte states. She then walks over to the bank where the edge of the water is. She lays down on her stomach and reaches her right hand into the water. She is reaching in and undercut. When she pulls her hand back out of the water, she caught about a 10 inch fish. She then proceeds to eat it, raw.

Segador chuckles, "why don't you trust me" says Segador making it sound more like a statment rather then a question.

"Simple." Darklyte states after swallowing a bite of fish. "I don't know you." Darklyte then takes another bite of the fish. "I don't expect you to trust me any." Darklyte says with her mouth full.

Segador chuckles again, "that Darklyte is a matter of opinion" Segador says to her. "Now if you will excuse me I am going to go study some ancient caves nearby" he says and then uses his flash ability to dissapear.
