I have recently been confronted with the issue that people do not tolerate other people based on their tastes in music. They accept the fact but do not respect the person based on their choice of music. If I learned one thing from music it's this line:
"One likes to believe in the freedom of music"
Neil Peart of Rush wrote these words for the song "The Spirit of Radio" off of the 1980 album Permanent Waves. I find that everyone has a freedom to like what music they like but also has the right to diss other bands but not other people for liking a band or artist.
I accept people who listen to hip-hop and rap and country, I'll tell them I hate that stuff, but I never hold a grudge over it. If someone likes Limp Bizkit, I'll tell them I hate it and still not hold a grudge.
I would like to start a guild dedicated to all forms of music, from rock and blues to hip-hop and disco. There, I request everyone share their music interests in peace. A music haven.
The reason I am posting this here is because I would like to not be the only founding member. The amount of gold it takes for a guild to be created is 20,000. Based on the amount of people who would like to give birth to this guild with me, I would like an equal amount of gold put into it by me and everyone else who wishes to follow.
If you don't want to be a founding member but wish to join, that's fine. I also need to have a banner for the guild, as well, and signatures to be made. If you wish to take part IN ANY FORM OF WAY, contact me by either posting this in the thread or via PM.

3 = 6,666
4 = 5,000
5 = 4,000
6 = 3,333
7 = 2,857
8 = 2,500
9 = 2,222
10 = 2,000
The more people the less gold needed to donate!

i will gladly be a founding member musical discrimination is just as bad as racial discrimination. there are even cases where musical discrimination and racial discrimination tie together. im with you man 100% ill make a banner to once i get more memory for my comp so photoshop works. I feel this is a very important matter and if floating a few k can get the word out i will gladly pitch in whatever is needed.

no problem this is a serious matter and our voices must be heard. being an African American rock fan in western NY is not easy lol. i used to take crap all the time. i just looked at them and said my skin color has nothing to do with the music i like. eventually they backed off but sadly others aren't so lucky. music discrimination can cause serious psychological harm it can even lead to scuicide
