Viridian City is a small city located in western Kanto. The Gym is locked until the player can gain all seven other League Badges. To the north is Route 2, as well as Viridian Forest, which lies in the middle of Route 2 south of Pewter City. To the south is Route 1, which leads to Pallet Town. To the west is Route 22, leading to the Indigo Plateau and the Pokémon League.

Location: Viridian City

Information: Yellow (Japanese: イエロー Yellow), or Amarillo del Bosque Verde (Japanese: イエロー・デ・トキワグローブ Yellow de Tokiwa Grove) is the fourth main character of the manga series Pokémon Adventures. She first appeared in volume three, when she was saved by Red from a rampaging wild Dratini.
When Red goes missing, Green sends Yellow out to find him, and has her disguise herself as a boy. Most of the characters did not learn her real gender until the end of the G/S/C saga: Yellow's straw hat hides her ponytail as well as containing the Rainbow Wing and Silver Wing.
Yellow's first Pokémon is a Rattata that Red helped her catch. Her starter Pokémon is Red's Pikachu which travels with her when she searches for Red. She later obtained her own Pikachu, Chuchu, which made a Pichu egg with Red's Pikachu at the Johto Pokémon daycare.
Yellow is quite naive, and acts very much like a little child. She hates it when Pokémon are injured, her's or her opponent's, and has developed a style of battle in which neither her nor her opponent's Pokémon are hurt unless it is absolutely necessary.
Yellow's special skill, as described by Professor Oak, is Pokémon healing and is called the "Healer" (癒やす者 Healer). She received psychic abilities from the Viridian Forest, which include the ability to read the emotions of Pokémon and heal their wounds. Yellow is physically small and can still pass for a boy even at 14, something that is a running gag within the manga.

Pikachu [Chuchu] lv.31

Info: Chuchu, Yellow's Pikachu, was obtained by Yellow in between the Yellow Chapter and the GSC chapter. It has a courtship with Red's Pika, resulting in an egg later given to Gold before it hatched. It is at level 31.

Ratticate [Ratty] Lv.25

Info: Ratty, Yellow's Raticate, was the first Pokémon she caught with Red's assistance, as a Rattata. It evolves during Yellow's training with Blue (to which the innocent girl, knowing nothing of evolution, cried herself to sleep). It is at level 25.

Dodrio [Dody] Lv.33

Info: Dody was a Doduo that Yellow obtained from her uncle Wilton. She uses it for transportation and it evolved during a battle with Lance. It is currently at level 33 and has a Hasty nature.

Omastar [Omny] Lv.42

Info: Omny was an Omanyte that was initially Misty's Pokémon but was given to Yellow with Brock's Gravvy, then a Graveler. Omny initially does not obey her, but does later on. It evolves into Omastar during a battle with Lance. Omny is currently at level 42 and has a Docile nature. It knows Water Gun, Ice Beam, Blizzard, and Hydro Pump.

Butterfree [Kitty] Lv.20

Info: Kitty, Yellow's Butterfree was saved by Yellow during a battle with Agatha's Gastly, as a Caterpie. It was then caught by Yellow with Blue's assistance during her training with him, although he had expected it to have been caught and evolved into Metapod before he went to help. It evolved twice during a battle with Lance. It is at level 20.

Golem [Gravvy] Lv.39

Info: Gravvy was initially Brock's Graveler, but after a battle with Agatha's Gastly, he gave it to Yellow. Like most traded Pokémon given to badgeless Trainers, it does not obey her at first, but it begins to listen by the time she reaches Vermilion City. It evolves into Golem during a battle with Lance like the rest of Yellow's Pokémon, although as a species it isn't supposed to do so without a trade (a fact that Blaine contemplates while holding her Poké Balls). It has a Quirky nature.
