As most of you guys know, Operation Ivy broke up fter like 1 album. Two of the members went on to form Rancid. I don't really know the reason for the original break up (Operaiton Ivy kicked a**!!), but Rancid also had great music. Which sound do you like better? Who's music do you prefer?
Me, I personally prefer Operation Ivy. Rancid was great, but a little more of a mellow sound, compared to Ivy's rawness.

Operation Ivy. Rancid = Major label, The Clash clone, Kelly Osbourne in video. The music is all right though.

Operation Ivy all the way. Their sound is better. Their lyrics kick butt. Plus Rancid are major sell-outs. Although I do enjoy some of their earlier works, but I even like Operation Ivy more than that.

i heard that they had a new album coming out soon. i find that hard to beleive because matt got cancer and has been spending time with family, tim has ******** up ever since the break up with the distillers b***h, and lars has been with the bastards for some time. and tim with transplants of course, both bands kinda suck anyways. although i think they both have potential
