I saw a thread like this in the Entertainment subforum, and thought we might get a better turnout for it here. So, does anyone besides me remember the old Intellivision? That's where I got my start before my old Atari 2600 and then NES. I actually got an SNES before I ever got my Sega Master System. Boy, I've played a lot of games.......... sweatdrop

Sega Genesis was the first system I played. Playstation 1 however was my very own system.
Intellivision is quite before my time. Lol.

Every time I see this question my answer is always the same... my first home console was none other than the NES, my brother and I had some pretty good games for that system( actually we had two NES systems) but we had to throw one out and we gave the other away.

Sega Mastersystem II. It was my parents, and I was only allowed to have 1 game, which I had to beg for...
I remember how expensive the games were back then, it was even worse than the newest of the new console games we can buy these days eek
I believe my old stepdad still has the console and all the games. Not having contact with him anymore, but it would not surprise me if everything still works like new.

My first console? It was an old hand-me-down NES. All it had was Duck Hunt and one of those gun-shaped Zapper controllers. I played that thing for years, even after the SNES came out.
The machine's long gone, now. It got fried and thrown out years ago. But the contoller? I still have it, around here somewhere. 3nodding

I played the original Nintendo Entertainment System, but the first system that I ever physically owned was a SEGA Genesis. Ahh... the memories of Sonic 2.

My first console was a NES which was followed closely by the SNES. For the most part I've mainly been a Nintendo kind of girl, but I would like to try the playstation systems if it wasn't for the fact that they are so expensive. I think Bill Gates had it right when it made the comment, "You can buy a Xbox 360 and a Wii for the same price as a PS3."

Niede My first system? Wait! it's not listed! crying Odyssey²K.C. Munchkin! rules! Hahaha. The first system I ever messed with was the original Odyssey. It had these weird two knob controls, the cartridge was actually a long, exposed circuit thing you pushed down into the machine, and it came with these plastic things you put on the TV screen (held on either by tape or by static electricity). It was ancient, and I only ever played Haunted House and Pong on it. My first gaming system - one that I owned - was the Intellivision. Auto Racing and Tron Deadly Disks were my favorite two games for that system, until Activision started pumping out games like Dracula and Atlantis.
