Role Plays always require special rules. ALL regular guild rules apply here, as well as the following rules...
1) No God-modding
God-modding is incredibly easy to do and is often done on accident. God-modding includes (but not limited to): making your character super powerful; taking control of another person's character (such as, "I punched him in the face and he fell to the ground."); controlling NPCs, the weather, environment; having your character hit every shot. If someone god-mods, tell them in a nice way. Like I said, most of the time when you god-mod it's an accident. Repeatedly god-modding may result in a permanent ban.
2) If you have multiple characters in the same RP, each character should be typed in a different color
I've been in RPs where I've had, like, 10 characters. If all of the characters are written in black, it gets confusing. So each character should have their own color and that character should always be that color. So if you have 2 characters, character 1 will ALWAYS be red and character 2 will ALWAYS be posted in blue. You may use whatever colors you want.
3) Keep gorey descriptions to a minimum
This goes under the PG-13 rule. I enjoy describing my RPs with great detail, so when my character gets in a fight, I like mentioning there's a fountain of blood squirting out of his kidney. However, you may include some gore, but nothing extreme.
4) Don't kill other peoples characters
Unless you have their permission. Discuss the killing of a character in PMs.
5) Don't make fun of the newbs/n00bs
We were all there before. Let them get used to RPing. They'll get the hang of it.
6) You may have two posts next to each other, that's it
I don't want to go looking through RPs and see that one person made 3 or 4 posts in a row. Post once, maybe twice in a row, then wait for someone to reply.
7) No cybering
It's disgusting and not PG-13. You may hold hands, kiss (as long as kisses are too detailed), cuddle, but no baby making.
8 ) If your RP fails, PM a mod
We'll delete it for you since you can't.
9) BE LITERATE
Crack open your English books and dictionaries. When RPing, literacy is very important! RPs can stagger and even fail if the RPers aren't literate? Why is that? Because it's hard to understand exactly what someone is trying to say/do if they're not completely literate. Spelling mistakes are excusable, txt tlk, l337, stuff like that is not.
