In a time when Grunge and 'Alternative' Rock ruled the world, a little known band by the name of Kingston Wall was making headway in the Psychedelic Rock scene in Finland in the early 90's. Led by vocalist, lyricist, guitarist and visionary Petri Walli, their sound combined elements of middle eastern themes, mysticism, and 'vivid psychedelia' to form what many could consider one of the best Rock bands ever formed in Finland.
Unfortunately, that reign on the underground Psych Rock scene didn't last long, as the band split up in December of '94, and not long after, Petri committed suicide by jumping from the tower of Töölö Church on June 28, 1995, thus ending any possibility of a reform.
Most of Kingston Wall's records sold out quickly and are regarded as collector's items. The trilogy was re-released as 2-CD sets with bonus b-sides and live recordings, but even those are hard to come by.
