What?
Why?
What's standing in your way?

Me first!

What?: The Rat (or either of the two sequels)
Why?: Girlish reasons ;}.
What's standing in your way?: Is this even on DVD in the UK? It's a British film, it should be! The Return of the Rat has been released via Grapevine video, apparently region 0 (says the Silent Era website), but they're US based. Postaaaage £££ :{.
I'll just have to keep an eye out on ebay.

Huckleberry Finn directed by William Desmond Taylor; George Eastman House should have its restoration of it complete and touring next year.

Amuse

I'd love to see a silent-era Sherlock Holmes movie--maybe William Gillette in the film adaptation of his famous play, or any of the Eille Norwood series. Imagine the difficulties of showing Holmes at work explaining his deductions without speech!

I haven't seen any around to watch. Could be few survive.

There was a showing of a 1926 version of Sherlock Holmes on TV a few days ago. Try looking it up.

Yeah, I heard that Turner Classic Movies did a whole MARATHON of Holmes movies right around Christmas (obviously because of that (ick) movie that came out Christmas Day), and I was told they started with silent versions & moved forward. But I was at my parents' for the holidays and although they have satellite, their service is crummy and doesn't have a single movie channel, not even AMC or TCM. crying
