It is 1742 and all is peaceful in the country of England. A castle stands alone in the country side and none go near it. Very few know that there are people, if you could call them that, living in the castle. The world knows nothing of what goes on in the castle... and no one comes out to tell. What would you do in the castle where no one comes out, and that doesn't mean that they are dead. Rules 1. This is yaoi remember that. 2. NO CYBERING!!! Romance, yes, that, noo. 3. Pm profiles to me titled 'where no one returns.' 4. Any guidelines of gaia I missed, FOLLOW THEM!! ProfilesName: Personality: Biography: I look like: (picture please) Human or other? (if other, what are you?) Orientation: (gay or bisexual) The world looks like this to me: (tell us how you see people) I will tell you if it is accepted and will post it as such... See you in the castle where no one returns...

Scott is sitting in the library, within the castle he never asked to own. He was reading a book that he had read several times before. He was alone here, as he had been since his parents died when he was 15, 4 years ago. He didn't really care. His parents had never cared for him. His father had even beat him, close to the point of death. He lifted his eyes from the book, looking out the window into the starry, cloudless night. He sighed. He had never felt as alone as he did now.

..:: James Alexander ::.. The night was dark, and clear, but still dangerous. James had been out on a delivery run for the courier company he worked for at present, when he had been ambushed by a band of Bandits. Raiders who patrolled the roads and attacked anyone that looked like they had anything of value. The bandit bastards and gotten his bag, along with everything inside of it; the items he had to deliver, and all his personal effects. They had gotten his horse as well, and now James was roughing it on on two legs like a real wilderness man.
Despite how beautiful the forest was at night, he could still hear things like animals lurking in the darkness, and the bandits who didn't seem to be done with him. By the time he found the road again, James was lost. He wasn't sure if he'd found the right road, or where it lead, or which way to go... He was breathing hard from running, and starting to get hungry. With a quick sigh, he picked a direction, taking a chance that it would lead him to a good place, and started walking. It didn't take long before he saw the top of a castle breaking over the road just up ahead. Funny, he hadn't known there was a here... He kept walking, maybe moving a little faster now that he had a destination, and it wasn't long before he was at the gate.
"Odd..." he mumbled to himself and the wind, pulling on the gate carefully, having it open smoothly at his touch. With a curious glance back down the road, he crept carefully into the castle yard, unsure what to Expect. "...Hello?" he whispered, as if expecting a groundkeeper to answer him. What was he expecting?

Soft watercolor-blue eyes slowly opened as red hair became visible against the soft moonlight, although barely seeing as how the owner of the hair lay in a large mess of bushes. The young male, maybe about 17 or 19 slowly stands. This boy appears to still be in some sort of a dream as he slowly began to walk in no direction at all. A sharp wince snapped through his features as the cold night air woke him up. "W-what?" he murmured softly, quickly looking around, "I... heard a voice...such... a lonely sigh..." he looked up to the sky, as though thinking. After a moment of silent thought, the boy noticed something on the dark horizon, the spires of a castle. He realized that he was facing in the direction of the castle. "Maybe... thats where I heard that voice...." he thought aloud, and began to run. The dreamwalker, an orphaned boy by the name of Dask, had heard the loneliness coming from this castle like a voice, a voice that was tired of calling out it's loneliness.
The cold breeze beat against Dask's face as he ran towards the castle. Those sad water-blue eyes gazed ahead, wondering if helping this person to not be so lonely, maybe he could start to overcome his own terrible feeling of being alone in the world. It didn't take the rather fit young man to reach the gates of the castle. He glanced around quickly before walking in through the still open gates. His eyes caught sight of another man, but the Dream Walker could sense that this wasn't the one who's voice was such a lonely sigh, and so instead of approaching this man, Dask cast his gaze over the windows of the castle.

..:: James Alexander ::.. Kaelem heard the other man before he saw him, and turned quickly at the sound of someone else walking through the gate. He was relieved when it wasn't any sort of bandit, but just.. a boy? Curious. What was a boy doing all the way out here? Did he live here, by chance? "Excuse me..." He kept his voice low, feeling the need to keep quiet in such a place. He didn't know why, but there was almost a sadness to the front garden just inside the gate, and the castle looming high above them. It felt.. almost wrong. Like there was something wrong here.(( sorry its so small... ))

Dask blinked slightly, pulled out of his seeking trance. He stared at the other as he faded back into reality. His body had stepped halfway into the dream world, making him appear almost like a ghost in the moonlight. "Yes...?" he asked, examining Kaelem better now. Water-color blue eyes gazed with a surprising intenseness. He slowly made his way over to Kaelem. He slowly reached out two fingers, and pressed them against Kaelem's chest, then took them away. Although this human couldn't know, Dask could now enter his dreams and mind easily now, if he so chose. However the red-head hated entering a non-sleeping mind, they were too full of useless emotions. Dask blinked, locking his eyes to Kaelem's. "Yes?" he said again "Can I help you... human?"
((Thats fine... it happens....))

..:: James Alexander ::.. There was hesitation in the air after the red head spoke. James hadn't been expecting the touch, or the attitude behind the words. Was there a problem being Human? Was there something wrong with the way he had been born? The way this kid spoke implied that everything was wrong with him. That he might have been lesser than everyone else. This put James in a rather fowl mood very quickly, and if he glared a little, it wasn't his fault. "... I was going to ask if you knew knew where this place was. But you seem less inclined to reply so I think I'll figure things out for myself." He turned back to the Castle and started at the high walls and windows, searching his mind for something that would hint at what this castle was, or who it belonged to.
He couldn't think properly now, and his thoughts always scattered back to why this kid seemed so hostile towards him. Hostile wasn't even the right word for it, he just seemed... off? Not entirely happy that James was Human and not something else. He didn't understand that, or why people thought humans were of a lesser breed. He sighed, frustrated. Might there be a reason behind it? Probably, but James was far to agitated to figure it out. He started at the castle walls, trying to see something through the windows. Did anyone really live here?

Dask watched this new person's reaction, he didn't know exactly what it was he had said wrong, and so it puzzled him somewhat that this person had just seemed so... irritated with him. A soft frown twitched at Dask's features. "I am sorry" he said after a moment "I said... something wrong didn't I..." It couldn't hurt to be polite to this stranger. He frowned slightly "I did not mean to... damage... any feelings" he said, stumbling over the word 'damage.' The dreamwalker wasn't used to talking with other people, seeing as how he was avoided for the most part. Or he spent all his time in dreams.
Was it to obvious that this kid didn't know how to deal with others?

..:: James Alexander ::.. After a moment, James sighed, a hand scratching through his hair and he turned back to face the read head. He seemed to have lost all that irritation already, and seemed perhaps a little flustered at his own over reaction to the other. "I'm ...sorry. I should not have acted that way. You called me 'Human' and i assumed you meant i was something lesser." After little more than a moment of observing the boy, it was easy to tell that he was not very good with people. Whether that was because of a lack of trying, or something else, James didn't know, and wouldn't ask.
He glanced back up to the Castle and fixed the glasses sitting on his nose. He still couldn't see much through the windows, and he was starting to think that no one lived here at all. An abandoned castle? Why hadn't anyone laid claim to it yet? "Do you know what this place is...?" James questioned quietly, not sure that the redhead even knew the answer. It occurred to him at the last minute that he didn't know the others name, and vice versa. Did it matter? Not yet.

Dask hadn't really meant anything by calling this one a human, thats what he was wasn't he? A human? Dask shifted slightly and looked up at the castle "I don't" he said simply "But someone here is... so very lonely" he walked up to the door and lifted the heavy knocker, unable to actually 'use' it with his limited physical strength the knocker simply fell and hit the door hard, although that had to be plenty sufficient. He rubbed his arms, which ached a little from lifting the knocker as he waited, he turned to the one behind him "I don't think Human's are less than me in anyway" he said softly "In fact... because you CAN'T do a lot of the things I can, I'm jealous...." Dask was one that was not easy to understand right away. "There are things that intelligent life forms should not be able to do..." he finished, then turned his water blue eyes to the castle.

..:: James Alexander ::.. James couldn't help but listen curiously to the red head speak. He jumped at the sudden sound that the knocker made, and frowned at his own action. This boy was picking James' curiosity now. "What are you, then? Who are you?" they were basic Questions, but still, the answers were important. It wasn't like the answer would make him act any different, but it might offer some kind of insight on how to read this boy. He took a few steps so he was standing near enough to the door that he might hear whatever was on the other side. Something Lonely? Or something Hungry? What exactly did the read head know about this castle? What could live in a castle this grand and be lonely?
James' immediate thought was a Vampire, but that was traditional, and he always heard stories of them in grand castles, sending out to gather maidens for their amusement. Neither himself, or the red head were 'maidens', so teh idea was more amusing than anything.

Dask smiled slightly "My name, is Dask" he said "I'm a dream walker, thats just as it sounds, I walk through dreams, I can enter peoples dreams, and minds if I so choose, although most dreamwalkers can't do that, but I can't sense or enter a vampire's mind" he said this last part to clue James in that he knew what he was thinking "I can only vaguely sense this person, so they're part vampire at least," he frowned "Or... angel... or demon" he said, then shrugged "But I'm guessing vampire..." he then seemed to realize that he had invaded this person's privacy, his pale features gained a hint of pink "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to look!" he said quickly, looking away.

..:: James Alexander ::.. It was funny, because James had just thought that Dask had been thinking on the same level as him, not peeking into his mind. At that realization he laughed, shaking his head from side to side. "So you read my mind, literally!" He was far from offended, and perhaps just a bit more curious than before. His chuckles died down and James glanced at the large door ahead, still closed tight. "I have never met a DreamWalker before... or a half Vampire for that matter..." He felt so normal for the first time in a long while. "Oh... My name is James, if you didn't already know." he tapped a finger to his head with a slight grin before stepping up to the door and pulling on the iron ring to knock again.
Was there even anyone home? If this was a vampire living here, maybe they had gone out for a bite to eat? And where all those stories true, about the blood and the bats? This would really be an experience, if Dask was right about the Vampire. And what about Dream Walkers? he had never heard of them before.

Dask's cheeks burned a little more "I... actually can only hear the louder thoughts, unless I'm really trying..." he murmured. Dask was becoming to be more curious about just this huge castle than who was in it, he stepped to the door and placed both hands on it. "Oh I hate doing this..." he said softly, and began to fade out of this world. He took a step through the door, disappearing completely. Once inside, he turned and pushed open the door so that James could come in if he chose to. "It may be breaking and entering, but it looks abandoned," he started then grinned a litttle "I'm just coming in because it looked interesting, that is my excuse...." he chuckled softly, still fading into reality.
