 I haven't been on in a few days. I have been taking care of some RL stuff. I make a lot of craft items - greeting cards, jewelry, pins, trinket boxes, floral arrangements, etc. I was thinking of selling them at local street fairs in hopes of drumming up some business for myself doing something I really enjoy. I went to a street fair this past weekend. I didn't sell as much as I would like, but it was better than nothing. I'm going to try again though, so I have been working on my stock. I hope it goes well. I'm just letting you know what I have been up to outside of gaia - how about you? What have you been up to outside of gaia?

Sewing stuffed toys, doing odd jobs for money, packing for Boston, and sleeping the rest of the time to some up.

ooo. what kind of stuffed toys do you make? I make some for myself from time to time. My husband said I should sell them, but I get attached them!! LOL
I make animals, like kittys, and sometimes I make characters from anime or video games, chibi-style.
I usually use felt!

I should have been a pair of ragged claws Have you considered getting an Etsy account? You might get a lot of traffic there! As for myself, I have been working at a summer camp for K-8 kids, painting a mural, painting watercolors and acrylics, designing clothes, putting together a portfolio, and trying to develop some ideas for a graphic novel. Whew! It's not as crammed as it sounds, though. Scuttling across the floors of silent seas

I've heard of Etsy, I haven't join yet though... If you think it's worth a shot I will try it though. Is it free or do they take a cut?
I'm the same way, I start a kajillion art projects at once.
I'm trying to get my creative business going. I have a really nice project in the mix, where I will be making high quantities of promo pins/buttons for a Japenese singer. I'm also working on a custom made jacket to look like a video game character I like a lot (Chie from Persona 4, I look a lot like her too, so I could do some cosplay with it perhaps)
In my spare time I am working on a Video Game project. I wrote it, and I am designing it with an RPG Maker. But they basic program they start you out with is just that - basic... SO I am working on customizing all the menus, the Battle System, etc... It's hard work, but I love it.

Ummm, I think it's free? But you have to count it in your taxes, because it's just like a regular income. That's one of the main reasons why I don't sell my art there, but only locally and in cash.

Ah I see, cool thanks. I guess I will stick to selling my stuff on the streets too for now then.
Thanks for the compliment about the sewing. I'm not a master seamstress like my grandma was - far from in fact. But I can do simple things. A simple top or a skirt, a bag, etc.. I made a ball gown type dress once. It took me over a month to do, it was for a Halloween costume. it cam out okay, I felt I could have done better though.

Wow, you guys do some really creative stuff. I'm jealous, I wish I could do things like that.
At my job I work in R&D on optical components for machines they use to test coating thicknesses in factories. sweatdrop Not as cool sounding as what you guys are doing, it's usually pretty boring actually...but I get paid (score) and every once and a while I get to do a cool experiment.
I'm also in a musical but it's summer theater and more for practice than anything else.

Oh that's very talented if you ask me... I could never do a musical or any kind of theater... I'm way too shy... sweatdrop What musical are you in? What's it about?

This year we're doing Cats. It's exciting because we're all familiar with it but it's also extra stressful to do a show most of the audience has probably seen on video with a Broadway cast.
I'm playing Bombalurina.
I'm sure you could do it if you wanted to, and you'd probably be better than me.

I finally joined etsy while I had a little extra money in my pocket - keeps fingers crossed - I hope it does well!! It has made a few transactions in the few days it's been open - so I hope that's a good sign... Thanks for the advice! I've been basicaly killing myself at Marching Band. We have a competition tomorrow and a game tonight. I'll see if I can get a video and put it on here for you all to see us because we're gonna be really good this year.
I'm currently in my PC Repair class and no one is here today except for 4 of us so I got on the internets. We talk about DB in here all the time. That and stupid Rick Asley. After this class I can't stand that man anymore. sweatdrop
But yeah life is alright with me. REally tired. Been painting my homie's house that she's moving into so I haven't had that much sleep lately.
