I just thought it'd be nice to have any info on the new book in it's own thread.
Bit of organisation you know. n_n
Unseen Academicals is a forthcoming novel in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. The novel satirizes football, and features Mustrum Ridcully setting up an Unseen University football team, with the Librarian in goal. It also includes new details about "below stairs" life at the university . The book will introduce several new characters, including a street urchin with a wonderful talent for kicking a tin can, a maker of jolly good pies, a dim but beautiful young woman, who might just turn out to be the greatest fashion model there has ever been, and the mysterious Mr Nutt.
Pratchett is currently working on the novel; it is scheduled for release in hardback and audio CD format on October 8, 2009.
This is what Wiki says, personally I can't think of anyone who can make better pies than C.M.O.T.

Heh, actually it turns out I was wrong. He preordered the next volume of the Wheel of Time for me. Therefore I preordered Unseen Academicals for myself yesterday. I'm glad I thanked him again, else I wouldn't have realized my mistake until after the release! ...I would have cried...

I havn't even ordered a copy yet. Any money I have is being spent on stupid study books.
My local libraries need to get their arses in gear and get some copies quick!
3 = Sad about lackchett of Pratchett

It seems like Sir Pterry's books disappear from my local library, never to return. And no, I am not responsible. I get my copies the old-fashioned way. My kids get them for me for birthdays, Father's Day, Christmas....
