~The Screaming Forest~
Many years ago, a man went out fishing in an unknown forest that he just drove passed after failed attempts to catch some big fish. He stopped his car by the side and heard the sound of the water rushing. Hoping he would finally catch some game, he took his fishing rod, his bait, and all his other fishing gears with him. So he left his car in a parking mode and went into the forest. It was clear day by now, still early enough for fish to bite and he went to follow the sound of the water leaving a trail of rope leading back to his car. When the fisherman went in, his rope suddenly was at it's end and he never found the river. It was just a forest and noon was hitting the sky. He was hungry.
The man dropped the rope and started building a campfire. It took longer than he thought since the forest ground was nothing but damp twigs and sticks to burn. It took long enough that noon was too far gone and the sun was already setting. He was tired but he had to catch something for him to eat and bring home. You see, he doesn't want to hurt his medal honoring fishing standard coming home with nothing for his neighbors to see since they usually know he had something every time he went out fishing.
But even though he loved his honor, his hunger couldn't keep up any longer so he pulled the rope back up and started to follow it. The harder he pulled, the looser it got. Since it was at the end of it's rope, shouldn't the rope be stiff when you pull it from it's end? No, for this fisherman, he was out of luck.
He started following the rope, not remembering any of the places that he came by. It was all different looking!
Soon enough, the sun had set already and the rope lead him nowhere. There was no road, his car was out of sight, and he was lost. In that forest, he stood looking around and suddenly he heard someone screaming! Hearing this, he thought that he is saved and that there was someone else besides him who was lost. He thought, 'those darn kids! Fooling around with a man like me, who do they think they are?'
As he headed towards where the scream came from, another scream far behind him was heard as well. And then another scream came except it was closer! Now, he is scared.
He couldn't figure out where the scream was coming from and still believed they were just kids trying to mess with him. As he sat down, something rustled in the bush and he dismissed it as an animal. But that was no longer when suddenly footsteps were creeping closer and closer. Terrified, he got up right away and started running away as fast as he could but no matter what, it seemed like he was surrounded! All of a sudden, he fell backward and screamed himself and never came back out of the forest.
That was the end of the fisherman because you see, he was warned not to go in. There were signs all down to where the forest ended and in all the warnings, it says:
"Please do NOT enter. This is a warning for your safety because many people have gone in and never came back. Even search parties have gone missing through this forest. We do not know why and we do not know how or what is out there."
Those screaming he heard were the last gasp of air everyone who had gone in there who were all lost. None of them ever came back. Even thought the warning was clear, people are still drawn into this forest.
Please, only enter at you own risk...if you do not come back, it is your own fault.
