Alright, guys! Here's a guild we can use while Kayla is doing some studying. I rather like the idea of an art community or a collection of art shops, so I thought I would buy a guild to make one.
Right now is the brainstorming phase, so all ideas are muchly appreciated and will definitely be taken into account. The plan is to, essentially, host a bunch of art shops in one of the subforums. That is the specialness of the guild. Or perhaps we'll put all the art shops in the main forum. The other subforums will be used for things like contests, special events, chatting, games, auctions, etc.
This happens to be a used guild so there are some old members I had to ban and whatnot, but it shouldn't be a problem.

I've sent PMs to the crew of Kismet. I don't think I'm going to recruit from the GJC unless there are only 1-2 people who want to help me. It's not going to take much work from the crew if we have responsible artists. Our only job is to handle possible auctions or new artists/customers.

Here's what we've got to do to get started:
1. Name the guild and the subforums.
2. Figure out how this art community stuff is going to work. Feel free to post ideas here.
3. Look for artists!
Yay. That should be it, and then we can get moving. Don't forget to post in the crew thread if you're interested. I'm hoping to get this mostly ready for artists before I leave for music camp (I'll be gone 20 Jul to 8 Aug, sorry!) and we can open when I come back (or before! Woot!)

Im not sure what u mean by find out how this works, but:
1) Advertise in forums. Advertise the guild, and also advertise the art shops in a different forum.
2) Get clickable banners, put them in ur sig, then bump EVERYWHERE! Also, put one in your profile where it is easily seen.
3) SPREAD THE WORD BY FINDING SPONSORS LIKE ME!!!!!

Yepyep. Problem is, we're not quite there yet.
By how this works I mean the artist system. If there's a subforum for artists, are we going to tax them so we can hold events in the guild? Are we going to keep customer records, or big public sheets of completed art for everyone to enjoy? The crew duties will be helping customers, finding artists, and just the general crew duties of every other guild. (And holding events, but we're not there yet.)

I suppose this is an update, but I'm not going to post it as such because it doesn't affect everyone.
If you are in the crew, you have to post in here at least once a week or I'm booting you out XD A crew for this guild won't be too necessary, so I'm only going to keep the most active members. Thanks!

I"m going to be busy in the upcoming weeks @.@
Anyway, we could tax the people per commission or even do a small monthly fee even. I don't see a problem with that, since it will go for events and such. I'm sure some of the artists won't mind much.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I think we should tax per commission rather than monthly fee so it's like, the amount of benefit they get from being in the guild comes back to us a little. And yes, it's non-profit for the crew (except maybe occasional freebies? XD) so I don't think the artists will mind.
